we have all heard the fairy tales transmit on your uv5r without a ham radio license and you will go to prison transmit on ham frequencies with an unlocked gmrs radio and you will get a $10,000 fine talk with your buddies while off-roading without a license and you will go to jail and you will get a $10,000 fine and anytime I have the audacity to mention the fact fact that statistically speaking in the last 10 years or so the fcc's rarely if ever goes after anyone for this type of violation every time I say that sad ham heads all over the country pop with rage and if I'm being honest it is quite humorous to watch their emotional breakdowns in the comment section of my videos they leave comments on my videos informing us that the fcc's goes after people for these things all the time and that people go to jail or get fined for these specific things all the time and then in the midst of their notar Rubicon induced emotional crisis they often accuse me of lying they accuse me of encouraging people to break FCC rules and they Proclaim that I am personally responsible for people violating FCC rules because I speak the truth they even triy to boycott my advertisers and cancel me and yet never not once have they actually proven me wrong but verily I say unto you that I remain strong in my result to speak the truth and that truth is that based on the number of enforcements that the fccs have made over the last 10 years or so statistically speaking you are more likely to get hit by lightning twice then you are to get a fine or go to prison for simply using a ham or gmrs radio without a license or for simply using the wrong type of radio to transmit on ham or gmrs frequencies and to be clear for the 1,000th time I am always referring to actual fcc's enforcements and enforcement is when the fcc's actually takes an action against somebody that action might be a mean letter it might be a fine or it could be a 10-year sentence to federal prison I am not referring to fcc's investigations that go nowhere and result in nothing happening nor am I referring to the ARRL sending out stupid warning letters because those ARRL warning letters carry about as much weight as an old lady wearing a neighborhood watch hat reporting a car to the police because the guy driving it is not the usual kind for this neighborhood and yet still sad hams continue to spread these fairy tales about people getting fined by our overlords at the fcc's or going to prison simply for transmitting on ham or gmrs radios without a license or for simply using the wrong type of radio for example using an unlocked gmrs radio like this to transmit on ham frequencies without a ham radio like like this stink finger to hoochi Mama stink finger to hoochi Mama do you copy over so in this video I am going to enumerate every time someone actually has gotten into trouble with our overlords at the fcc's since the year of Our Lord zenu 2014 so that you can decide for yourself if as the sad hams keep telling us I am lying and spreading disinformation or if it is the sad hams that are how do I say this nicely full of all of the informations that I will be presenting to you in this video comes directly from the fcc's public enforcement database of which I will provide a link to in the more information section below so that if anyone doubts anything that I say they they can check the data themselves and anyone that still makes claims that I am lying or spreading disinformation is more than welcome to leave a link in the comment section to any fcc's actions that I may have missed and that materially changes my claims and remember kids every action that the fcc's takes is listed in their public enforcement database and if it is not in that database then it did not happen and again to preempt any conflation and hopefully preclude any stupid comments I am talking about gmrs and ham related infractions only made by humans not businesses and only on ham or gmrs frequencies not things like transmitting on public service frequencies causing interference to Emergency Services transmitting on business or commercial radio frequencies or using their radios while about committing other crimes so here is the list of gmrs and ham radio rule infractions that the fcc's have gone after in the last 10 years and what those criminals did in order to get the fcc's to take action against them I shall go through these as quickly as humanly possible because I know and fully understand that you think that your time is very [Music] valuable [Music] I shall be referring to my notes so as to prevent any accidental misspoken so far in our year of the Lord zenu 2024 there have been zero enforcements of this type August 2023 a Mr Gutierrez of Pennsylvania received a mean letter from the fcc's for jamming a gmrs repeater by repeatedly and continuously playing music June 2023 Mr Martin Anderson of Washington received a mean letter from the fcc's because his broken repeater was continuously transmitting dead air May 2023 a Mr Phillip bedu of California was find $24,000 for not using his ham radio call sign while he was jamming ham radio frequencies with music and noise and interfering with other ham radio operators and after he ignored previous mean letters sent to him by the fcc's in 201 16 June 2022 a Mr David Dean in Colorado received a mean letter from the fcc's because his ham radio was continuously transmitting a carrier wave and thusly causing interference to other ham radio operators March 2020 a Mr Jerry M maty mat maty of Louisiana received a notice of an $118,000 fine or not using his ham radio call sign whilst he repeatedly and continuously was jamming a ham radio repeater in 2018 October 2019 a Mr Harold Gretzky Gretzky of New York after previously ignoring a mean letter from the fcc's was fined $177,000 for repeatedly and continuously jamming ham radio frequencies and and making threats to other ham radio operators over the air in 2017 August 2016 the fcc's proposed a fine of $23,000 to a Mr Daniel Delise deice deice of New York for transmitting on his ham radio without a ham radio operator license after previously receiving two mean letters from the fcc's in 2012 and after being warned in person in April 2016 by fcc's employees oh and he was also causing interference on business frequencies Mr Delise de Del dely Delise this guy was ultimately arrested arrested not by the fcc's but by the NYPD that's the New York police department and not for using his ham radio without a license but for transmitting false Officer Down distress call over the NYPD radio system and after Mr Delise delis D delie after he made statements to the NYPD that he planned to continue to transmit on the NYPD police radio systems the NYPD obtained a warrant and seized his radio equipment all of this was an NYPD action not an FCC action although the NYPD did work with the fcc's also August 2016 the fcc's finded one William Crowell crawl of California $25,000 for repeatedly and continuously jamming ham radio frequencies by playing music and sound effects Mr crra however asserts that it was his First Amendment right to be a over the radio and therefore asserted that the fines were unconstitutional the CC's responded with approximately 20 pages of legal arguments and previous Court precedence demonstrating that a Mr crowl was wrong and that number two getting your legal advice from the internet is not a good idea July 2016 a Mr David toasy tosy tassi of Georgia received a $1,000 fine for not announcing his ham radio call sign while using his ham radio after previously receiving mean letters and warnings from the fcc's which he acknowledged and ignored August 2015 a Mr Daniel Hicks of Ohio received a notice of an 8,000 fine for failing to announce his ham radio call sign and for using someone else's ham radio call sign whilst jamming ham radio frequencies July 2015 Mr Michael gery gery of Michigan was fined $22,000 by the fcc's for not announcing his ham radio call sign while he was jamming ham radio frequencies with music and animal noises in 2014 January 2015 Mr Brian Crow of Pennsylvania was ordered to pay an $1,500 fine for failing to to announce his ham radio call sign whilst he was jamming ham radio frequencies in 2014 and that is all of them 12 enforcement actions taken by the fcc's in the last 10 years zero people sent to prison by the fcc's in the last 10 years zero people getting as much as a mean letter for simply transmitting on ham or gmrs without a license and zero people getting into trouble for transmitting on ham or gmrs with a nontype accepted radio one one person in the last 10 years got a mean letter and then a $1,000 fine after he ignored previous letters or simply transmitting without his call sign one those other 11 people were all being over the air they pretty much needed to get into trouble but out of the hundreds of thousands of people breaking the rules or being on the air every year if not every day only 12 got in trouble with the fcc's in the last 10 years 12 in the last 10 years my friend these are the cold hard facts and if these facts make some people sad then instead of whining about me speaking the truth perhaps maybe they should take out their rage on the fcc's
