What happened to Nieko Lisi?! Dismantled car found YEARS later!

[Music] hello everyone and welcome back to my channel so today's video is a very very highly requested one since I started my channel and I'm finally getting around to it and that is the case of Miko Lisi now this case is a much smaller one I think it is well known to the people in the area but I am honestly shocked that it has not received more attention than it has been getting because there are some very very bizarre things happening in this case so I'm very interested to see what you guys have to say by the end of this video Neko Lisi was last seen by his family on September 30th 2011 at the age of 18 in Jasper New York where he lived Neko had just graduated from high school and he was exploring his new life as a young more free adult he did hang around the wrong group of people every once in a while but his mother Monica said it was not anything abnormal that your normal young adult / teenager would be doing and she figured after a while of exploring these new freedoms and you know feeling out different groups of friends that he would eventually straighten out and get on the right path the day that Neko left town and the following days are one giant puzzle that has been pieced together with sporadic little bits of information that authorities and Miko's family and friends have gathered Neko is with a friend named Robert Knights and they decided very last-minute to leave town so they headed out in a GMC truck and the events that followed are not very well known and then fortunately will never be known due to circumstances I will let you guys know about a little further into this video now I've seen very random bits of information of what exactly they did I think they left some time actually on the 29th and to the early hours of the 30th because from very few accounts of the story I have seen that they possibly responded on security cameras north of Jasper and Rochester they were seen in one other place and all these were around 2:00 to 4:00 a.m. in the morning now I cannot percent confirmed those sightings are confirmed because I have not personally seen them myself but from different sources I have seen that that is kind of what they did they just pretty much went around at different cities in the area and responded at gas stations grocery stores all of that the next time Nico and his friend Robert were seen was on September 30th at 2:00 p.m. when they drove down to Addison New York which is just southeast of his home and Jasper to see his uncle now he got to his uncle's house and his uncle asked him what they were doing and Nica said that they planned on going camping possibly in Buffalo New York which was just a few hours northwest of Addison and his home in Jasper I feel like the uncle himself thought this was kind of strange and his mother has confirmed this isn't something he normally would do one thing the uncle did for a fact asked was where they got this truck they were traveling in this GMC truck and according to Nico and his friend Robert it was Robert's grandfather's and then after that they headed on their way again supposedly to go camping in Buffalo but that is not exactly what happened for one reason or another after leaving Addison there are a few hours of unaccounted for time but somehow they made the drive seven hours west to Romulus Michigan where Robert Knight's family lived so Roberts grandfather did in fact live in Jasper the one they supposedly got this truck from but his family lived seven hours away and as I said strangely enough they somehow ended up over there now while this was happening Nico's uncle kind of got an idea that something very strange was going on so he decided to call Monica and ask her if she knew that Nico Andy's friends plan to go camping and to Monica this was a complete shot she didn't know about this she didn't know that Nico was gonna get someone else's car and drive to this area but as I said Nico was kind of testing boundaries at this point he's 18 fresh out of high school so she figured that if he was planning on actually doing anything that kept him away from home for a couple of nights he would call because he would go and stay at friends houses and he would stay a couple of nights but he would always let her know she didn't think too much of it at first just kind of brushed it off assuming he would contact her but then on October 3rd something incredibly bizarre happened when an envelope came in the mail and inside of the envelope was Nico's ID now this really started raising bells for her at first you know he just kind of disappeared about saying anything but then he didn't call her to let her know where he was and he had this very strange encounter with his uncle and now his ID was being mailed to him and the ID didn't come from Nico himself there was someone who wrote a little note that said hey I found this in Hornell New York which was about 15 to 20 minutes away from Jasper and this person found this ID just laying on the street and was sending it back because of all these little bits of information together they decided to file a Nico as a missing person the last time anyone in the family was known to have spoken to Nico was on October 1st apparently his grandmother called him she recalls sometime between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. and he did actually answer his phone and at this point keep in mind the mother still had no idea where he was but the grandmother called for whatever reason he answered said he couldn't talk and he'd call her back but unfortunately he never actually did after this authorities decided to ping his phone to try to find this location and saw that the last time his phone pinged anywhere was on October 1st at 4:08 p.m. so probably right after nico spoke to his grandmother because she remembers it being somewhere between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. except it made absolutely no sense where his phone was pinging the place that his phone was pinging was 12 hours away from his home and Jasper and Franklin Tennessee at the end of a cul-de-sac on flintlock Drive now this was 12 hours away and no one at this point knew why he would have gone this far no one had heard from the friend he was with and according to his uncle he was going camping in Buffalo New York and somehow ended up dropping completely south all the way to Tennessee so by October 5th authorities decided they were going to go ahead and talk to Robert Knights to try to figure out if maybe Nico was running somewhere if you knew anything more about his whereabouts and some even stranger events started playing after this so they got down to Romulus and asked how exactly Robert got there what did Nico say to him didn't ego just drop him off and go and Robert story was that early morning on the first of the last day that his phone was pinging sending off any sort of signal he claimed early that morning he was dropped off at his home and Romulus and that Nico just left and the dad verified this story he said he got home at around 11 a.m. that morning to find Robert sleeping in the home and Roberts girlfriend even said that she knew he was in town sometime between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. so fairly early that morning which matches up with him arriving in Franklin sometime around 4:00 p.m. so this all made sense but the problem was no one actually saw Nico drop Robert off and then in the middle of questioning Robert he suffered some sort of ailment now to this day they will not release what exactly this ailment was but it was bad enough to where he was rushed to the hospital and was there until the night now on the night Robert was released and she put up a status on Facebook the next day they had a lot of people questioning what exactly was going on and I'm going to read to you what it said so at 3:47 p.m. on the 10th Robert said can someone send me some love I just got out of the hospital and I'm at a little place but I am getting better I need someone to show me some love but unfortunately around 8 p.m. that night nights family found him dead from what everyone is assuming is an overdose not to add to the secretive nature of you know everything being released or in this case nothing being released by the authorities no one 100% knows what exactly happened tonight they just know he was questioned by police about Nico's disappearance he suffered some sort of episode during the questioning went to the hospital for a few days put up that very sad status on Facebook and then was found dead just hours later how even though authorities did not release his cause of death apparently they told Nico's family it was from an overdose and based off of responses and his Facebook post that is what everyone has come to as a conclusion as well of how he died but unfortunately that just made him look even more suspicious but it also led to no answers and considering this is the last person known to be with Niko authorities in the family felt like they just hit a complete dead end none of this made any sense Niko had never been on a road trip before at all and let alone had he ever driven himself seven hours from his hometown only to drive eight to nine more hours south all the way to Tennessee it was using a car that wasn't known to belong to him or belong to Robert they looked into it it also didn't actually belong to his grandfather so no one really knew where this car came from and on top of that the day that Robert came home he also informed his father that Niko had stolen his phone and since it was under his grandfather's name they decided to cut it off so that was incredibly odd why would he need to steal Niko's phone when he had his own phone and it was proven that he used it up until later on that day when it was cut off and on top of all of this what on earth was he doing in Franklin Tennessee and then just days after he disappears the friend he was last known to be with dies by possible overdose it was all very strange and incredibly suspicious it turned out that in 2009 and Niko actually lived in Franklin for I think it was about one year period I think he spent his junior year and Franklin high school but he did actually live here so he did have friends and Monica wondered if maybe he went down to see some of them so she decided to check his phone records and found that he wasn't that calling a lot of Tennessee numbers and this time frame so she did her own little investigation and started calling every single one of them back and only one person returned her phone call the young man that called her back did claim to have seen mica that day on October the 1st and this man also said that Niko actually stayed the night there which was huge for the case because the only thing they knew at this point was that his phone stopped pinging at 4:08 p.m. on the first but now they know he's stayed with this family and he actually stayed into the second October 2nd but where did he go after that so obviously Monica and authorities started asking this family you know why was he there what did he say his reasoning was for being there did he say where he was going but this is when things started to get a little bit sketchy again this young man apparently was kind of reluctant to release any information and he claimed he didn't know anything even the young man's father confirmed that Nico did in fact stay the night of October the 1st at the home in Franklin but still no information which I find incredibly odd so did Nico just show up say hey I need to crash here and no questions were asked or were these people being incredibly secretive because after all at this point they were now the last people to be in contact with Nico everyone was so incredibly confused by this point in this case because no one knew exactly where to search for him no one knew where to put up posters or do anything because he had been and Jasper New York possibly Rochester New York possibly Buffalo New York he'd gone down to Addison his ID was found in Hornell new you are kid been to Romulus Michigan he drove all the way down to Franklin Tennessee he had been all these places which just many could have gone to you know however many more places after this so no one even knew where to begin with looking for Nico it wasn't as easy as just pinging his phone anymore because it stopped pinging completely on the first so they decided to just go and put up as many posters as possible everywhere they could and leads were coming in but everything was leading to dead ends so where on earth was Nico and what was he doing down in Franklin then and another alternative events Nico's family have figured out that his Facebook was actually gone he had just created a brand new Facebook page for himself and for one reason or another the entire account had been deleted years went on and posters were put everywhere the news talked about this strange disappearance everyone questioned what Robert Knights might have had to hide and where was Nico going and why did he lie to his uncle about going to Buffalo and no leads led them to anything except in July of 2016 5 years after Nikko and missing a major break in the case of a missing teenager last seen in Franklin in 2011 this week that New York State Police came to town in search of new leads in the cold case of Nikko Lisa and you won't believe what they found our Rebecca Schleicher joins us with the very latest Rebecca what do you know Carey after almost five years of dead-end leads today police found the pickup truck Nikko Lisa had been driving when he disappeared they say they found the truck in a garage of a middle tennessee home in just a minute you'll see that it was dismantled and stripped down which only increases officers concerns that foul play was involved in Lisa's disappearance a tip led investigators to Nicko's dismantled truck that was located in a locked garage somewhere in Franklin Tennessee authorities did not and have not released the address of the home that this car was found at but they did send the truck off for forensic testing and told the public that they hoped this would lead them to whoever might have had something to do with Nico's disappearance they have released absolutely no information on this truck you guys and it has been 2 years almost to the month that this truck was found and I honestly wonder why but I am hoping it's because they are building a case I did see one article state that the family had actually asked authorities to search this area or possibly this specific home for the truck and authorities didn't do it until five years later which I find incredibly odd but you know the truck was hidden in this garage for five whole years most of the truck had been stripped down is basically just the cab and the bed of the truck and almost all the areas where there would be a VIN number present had been stripped off the truck and either sold or destroyed since police won't talk about this truck at all they won't talk about who it actually belonged to they won't talk about where exactly it was found it's been two years and we don't know the results of the forensic tests staying on it I find that so incredibly strange but since they were able to positively identify this truck as the one Nico was using then they must have some sort of stolen report somewhere or you know they have some sort of information that led them to be able to positively identify this truck and know who this truck really belongs to and since they haven't released any of that I am honestly wondering if the person who owned the truck has some sort of larger relevance in this case now something that I do think could possibly be incredibly relevant to this case is the fact that Nico actually had pending rape charges being pressed against him for having sexual intercourse with a minor however I don't know very many details at all about the case I just know that him as well as a couple other males were being charged for I think the same sort of crime I don't know exactly what happened but it makes you wonder if maybe he was going to tell on some of these friends of his that he steal this truck to possibly run away from his legal problems did this friend help him run away and once he started being questioned about this possible plot that Nico was running away from his you know legal issues did he freak out panic and accidentally overdose or possibly purposely overdosed is it possible that this friend actually gave his phone to Nico and then his father started questioning him about what was going on and he had no choice but to tell the truth about it so the phone would be shut off you know I don't understand any of this and this particular truck was being held in the middle of a town that knew very well about Nico because his mother wouldn't let them forget authorities would not let them forget there were posters about him absolutely everywhere for as long as anyone can remember people were all up and down flintlock drive trying to search for him everyone in this town you know knew about it did he maybe sell the truck as this last bit of cash to run and this person just unfortunately had the truck not knowing that he was a missing and this truck was linked to him but if someone random just bought it and with how saturated the media was with his disappearance and this truck that they were looking for I feel like someone would have brought that forward I feel like a random person would have brought it forward to say hey I have this I don't want to be involved in this I bought it from this kid and gave him cash and he didn't tell me where he was going whatever but you know that didn't happen usually when you get a car to strip it down for parts for money you will take what you can sell what you can and you will trash the rest of it you're not usually going to sit on just a cab and a bed of a truck obviously someone could always have plans to totally fix the car up but to sit on bare bones of a car for five years the neighbors even came forward then never seen this car had no idea how it even got there they were shocked it was at this person's home you know whoever it was so that just says to me this person was purposely trying to keep this truck hidden so why a tip is what led authorities to this car as well and that also tells me that someone in the area knew something sketchy was going on with it maybe they thought they saw it they knew it was connected there was some sort of sketchy enough activity around this vehicle that someone felt concerned enough to call about it and that to me says a whole lot and I know a lot of people argue that it could just be a stranger that had this car I totally see him selling it for some sort of money but you know the fact that all the parts with pretty much the VIN number were gone what that just screams to me that someone wanted to hide the identity of this vehicle and on top of that a lot of people argue you know well if you want to get rid of a car you strip it down for parts it as many of the pieces that have the VIN number on it off and sold in separate areas and then you take the bare bones of it to a junkyard and have them crush it or just let it sit there however keep in mind as I said you know that is the easiest way to get rid of a car unless everyone is looking for that car in that area at that point you have to hope you can transport it without anyone right igniting it you have to hope that the person at the junkyard doesn't recognize it so what's your other safest bet if you can't get rid of it you hide it the Franklin area itself especially the last place that has phones and off a ping is not exactly the most ideal place to get rid of a body if foul play was involved like they do suspect and when you look at the neighborhood there is a pretty large wooded area fairly close to where this cul-de-sac was and it looks like a place that not a lot of people would casually just walk through all the time it's kind of off of this highway slash main road tucked behind this neighborhood there's a farm on one side of it there's a water tower I just don't think it would be something highly enough travel that if there was a body back there someone would stumble upon it and because there's pretty much very little information out about this case and authorities haven't released anything I have no idea if they've even searched this area of woods but you know on top of that the city itself is situated in a valley surrounded by a ton of low-lying mountains with back roads sneaking off through them that to me would be the easiest way to dispose of a body in this case because there's no bodies of water in the area it's just this very basic cut-and-dry town and I personally think that whoever did this to him if he didn't decide to disappear himself they were very invested into making him disappear phone was never found the car was hidden for five years without being found his facebook was deleted which to me is a pretty large set to take and a stranger is not going to care enough to delete someone's Facebook to me that's a very very personal move which suggests that it was someone that he knew it wasn't just some random act of foul play he didn't stumble into the wrong place at the wrong time and someone was like oh wow let's delete this kid's Facebook to me that sounds like someone messed up made a huge mistake and was panicking and trying to just delete him from you know everyone's memory and history of him either he went to very extreme lengths to conceal his identity and start a new one or someone closer to him had something to do with this and I've seen a lot of theories being bounced around on this case I've been looking into it for a very long time like majority of people have one very specific theory they believe but I just don't know if I buy into a lot of the theories I've seen which now leads us into the theories in this case and there are quite a few of them and I'm very interested to see what you guys have to say about this because there's so much odd information but this is one of those cases where every theory almost seems like it could be very possible so the first theory is that the front he stayed the night with was involved now I think this is a massive massive possibility no I don't know exactly where this friend lived they did not release it they haven't released his friend's name but Nico's last ping was at the end of a cul-de-sac and the town this person was from now we don't know for a fact but I think it's safe to say it's a possibility he was at this young man's house family even claims that Nico did stay that night there so what happened to his phone at 4:08 p.m. that day and why was it never turned back on there's so many different possibilities when it comes to him is staying with this friend did he turn off his phone because everyone was in on him running away is that why they're being so secretive you know is that why they didn't ask all these questions because if you look at it from an outsider's perspective if you knew someone for a year in highschool and they showed up at your house two years later and we're like hey I need somewhere to stay you're gonna be like okay like are you all right like what's going on where are you going why do you need to stay here you know how long do you need to stay here all these questions and when you're with someone for a night you casually in conversation bring up things that are going on so the fact that somehow they knew nothing about what he was doing there why was there where he was going and what he needed that just doesn't seem right to me and it seems like they're really holding back a lot of information and I understand people are secretive and if you planned on running away or staying away he would be secretive but you would think they would come forward and say that and say hey you know he was acting very strange he didn't want to tell us anything but instead they're very protective of that information almost like they don't want to release something there are some people that fake possibly drugs were involved I think this mainly stems from the fact that Robert his other friend possibly died of an overdose I don't know if Nico was one to ever experiment with drugs but you know maybe he came back to this friend's house and they started doing something and there was some sort of accident and you know you obviously don't want to spend the rest of your life and trouble for drugs or possibly being one responsible for the drugs that killed somebody so maybe it was an accident and they just wanted to cover it up you know I think that is kind of a far-fetched one but I guess you can't really rule anything out at this point when you're going off of essentially nothing and I honestly wonder if the car was found in their garage looked at the end of this cul-de-sac and the house at the very end does have a garage so I don't know it's just so difficult to create theories like this when you don't know very important bits of information that could easily dismantle the theory in seconds authorities went to this neighborhood no one saw the car no one saw Nico so just doesn't make a single bit of sense to me and when it comes to all of his friends in Franklin he clearly called a lot of them why did none of them call his mom back and I think it's odd that you know the one person that could possibly be guilty of something was the one to call back does this mean you know this person is more innocent than we think or did they just feel like they had to call back out of possible guilt which i think is also what leads people to believe there was some sort of accident I'm telling you guys the theories in this case are so intertwined and crazy because there's so little information out there so next is a theory that I don't think is very likely and that is that Robert was involved because some people believe that Roberts bizarre hospital trip in the middle of being questioned while overdose makes him suspicious now he was one of the last people to be with amigo and no one saw Nikko drop Robert off but I do not think that equates to him being guilty just because of those little bits of information while it is suspicious there are so many things that could explain all of that he was dropped off at 6:00 a.m. a lot of people probably weren't awake at that time and that could easily explain why no one saw him being dropped off you know his strange behavior his possible overdose no I heard it's possible that he was sick and that was his episode when he was being questioned you know he could have also simply just been upset because his good friend that he was just with disappeared right after they parted ways he could have been feeling a ton of guilt for maybe not saying hey stay the night here or do this or do that he could have been emotionally dealing with a lot of things and if he did overdose that could have contributed to it you know it could just be a complete accident and someone just simply being incredibly distraught over a possible loss of a friend or it could be totally unrelated you know they were together for an extended period of time but it was known that he was home on the first early morning and it is known that Mika was in a completely different state so him being possibly involved I just I'm not seeing it the next theory I kind of have already dabbled in and that is random foul play I don't think that's incredibly likely he was in a town states away as a very last-minute decision he would have had to stumble into the worst situation at the most perfect timing and I just don't find that very likely especially when you add on all these other mysterious bits of information on top of it now Cody you've gone to hang out with all these random people in Franklin and he got there hours away and realized he didn't really have a lot of people to hang out with and it could be like the David Gibson Smith situation where one friend sent him to another friend he didn't know very well and something crazy happened I think that's a possibility I just don't think that's the most likely in this case now for the last theory and the widest believed theory and that is he ran a way to start a new life and I am very borderline on this theory I really don't know how to feel about it he was facing criminal charges and everyone thinks that he just wanted to run now we have been face to face with this scenario before where someone has criminal charges and authorities usually quickly assumed that this person wants to run however he had gone to multiple court dates before this he was towards the end of this whole entire legal situation he was in and authorities themselves don't really even believe that he was trying to run away from his legal issues they believe foul play was involved and to me that says a lot because authorities are usually the first ones to jump on the idea that this person is running away from the law they did actually put a warrant out for his arrest if I remember correctly after he disappeared for not showing up but again he was missing so that kind of tends to happen when you're missing but I just don't know I don't know if I believe that he was running away it does explain a lot of things though it could explain why this truck came out of nowhere as I said authorities have not released anything on this truck where it came from where they found it what they found in it on it any of that but articles have slipped here and there and said the stolen truck so I don't know if they're staying that because they assume it or if authorities maybe have stated somewhere that it was stolen but what if he stole this truck to be able to get around in order to run away you know as I said before he might not have stolen Roberts phone it's very possible Robert gave him this phone because he thought you know it would be easy to get another one and Nicko didn't want to use his phone anymore so he couldn't be traced by it but to easily dismantle that I'm pretty sure same day on the first that other phone was deactivated so why would Niko have turned his phone off if the other one he had Roberts phone was deactivated as well he wouldn't have had any other option at all and if that was the case let's say he turned his phone off so it couldn't be tracked and he started using Roberts phone and realized it didn't work he would have turned his phone back on do you see what I'm saying it's like for every vistors of that in this case perfectly like everything can be explained through something else maybe he deleted his own Facebook to further erase his name and history because again deleting Zhaan's Facebook is a very very personal thing random person with a random act of violence towards Nico would not have taken the time to go into his phone and delete his Facebook and I'm really interested to know where exactly his Facebook was deleted from was it deleted from his phone was a deleted from a computer because in that case someone would need to have his password and I want to know what des was deleted on because that could create a whole nother timeline for this case if it was deleted days afterwards that means someone had to have had his password if his phone was not turned back on and able to be pinged which I know for a fact according to police it was not so was he logging in somewhere it's just so weird to me you know maybe why all these people are quiet and don't know anything and don't remember anything is because they were asked to keep quiet so he could go and not be bothered anymore but I have quite a few hangouts with this entire run away theory because if he plan to run why would he ditch the truck did he maybe plan to run and end this fell into some sort of act of foul play where he was possibly murdered or taken and kidnapped and you know it's somewhere off somewhere and if his whole plan was to run i don't think he would ditch his truck however it's also possible that as i said before he sold it for money last minute money maybe he had no choice he knew he could live better off of a couple thousand dollars from selling this truck than having the truck and having no money also why did he stop at his uncle's house in such a casual way if he knew he was running away afterwards you would think if you want to run away and stay hidden you wouldn't make extra stops to see and talk to family to kind of give yourself away however I also think it's likely he stopped there just to put this Buffalo idea in his uncle's head to plant this seed so people were looking for him you know when he was in a completely different state I also think it's odd to call with his grandmother again if he's trying to run and hide why would he answer a phone call from his grandmother for just a few seconds knowing he couldn't talk when he easily could have just ignored it and not had to deal with it at all if you're running and you know you can't talk or a second why take the time to even pick up the phone it's just so odd to me and this is why I'm not 100% with this he was trying to run away theory I think something bad happened to him along the way and something is in my brain saying it was an accident and I could totally be off and be wrong here but the way that things are being found and the set up of the entire situation just screamed something random and bad happened to him and everyone involved is just terrified panicking and trying to wipe them clean because they have no idea what else to do keep in mind that he was only 18 years old when he went missing and I'm pretty sure he had a warrant out for his arrest soon afterwards that doubles the likeliness of him being found and really lessens the chance that he could successfully stay hidden for an extended period of time he had never even been on a road trip before he was living in a small town in New York the chances that he successfully ran away and is either staying with someone or hasn't been spotted or successfully ran away to a homeless population it just doesn't seem likely to me and I feel like so many people are hung up on that being a possibility but everything points to the complete opposite I'm hoping all of this radio silence from the police department is just them trying to get together this case because how do you find this person's vehicle they were using and two years later not have any answers whatsoever I think that's incredibly odd to me there's got to be something more out there there are people that know something and they're just not coming forward it's like every theory makes a lot of sense but a few things just don't fit it's so hard because of the lack of information is the largest thing pointing me towards he possibly did run away and then accent gently stumbled into foul play is the fact that he did something so out of character right before he disappeared he possibly stole someone's car or got this random car drove for hours and hours an hour something that he had never done before didn't contact his mom something he always did and then he just vanished you know I think it might be a case where theories are combined where he just ran away for some odd reason and then stumbled into the wrong situation in the process so let me know what you guys think do you have any other theories I haven't
