What can I do about hairline cracks in my driveway?

[Music] David from College Station has a driveway dilemma no he just moved into a brand new house Thom and found this in the driveway Oh hairline crack yeah David writes they look like surface cracks to me but one crack expands the entire width of the driveway should this happen so early and is it something I should be worried about you really can't worry about it concrete is gonna crack once in a while and any any Builder anybody that ever pours is going to tell you we can't guarantee if it's gonna crack or not and it's it's expansion and contraction crack so the steel expands differently than the concrete if they add water to it or if it has too much water when it comes or if it's a little too thin in an area there's a lot of different things that will happen or it could just been a really hot today and it just dried before it cured and so you have a little popping in some areas it's nothing to worry about but people when they get a brand-new driveway they want it to look perfect four years later after driving cars all over and stuff nobody cares but being a brand-new home I know people really want it to be perfect all the time and sometimes you're gonna get these cracks and that's just part having a concrete driveway yeah even if you jackhammer that section out and report it and there was no cracks to our matching color well now you have this big white spot there there's big white checkerboard things so that would you know would one day have hairline cracks of a different color that could be yeah yeah who knows all right you know this this sounds like why they created the texturing is that you can put over concrete because at least it it adds some some surface image to the surface sustained yeah you can put all these coatings on make it look like stone make it look like all different patterns maybe just a texture put a color in it but the check you're gonna write for a driveway that you're gonna drive your car on and then you have to maintain it all the time and seal it and have it washed I don't know if people really want to go through that on a driveway hairline crack sirs start those hairline cracks starting look good I still look down that there it is okay you want you want some great advice like that good is it okay radio.com fill out the ask on form send it in and we'll put together a video just like this that will go ahead and post on our our website every day our Facebook page every day and our YouTube channel if you haven't subscribed to our YouTube channel please do and remember to click the bell so you can be notified every time we post a new one
