beautiful it's a great feeling one that you wish everyone could experience in some way form or or other large or small every single day oh my gosh you know I'm telling you when you received your Oscar it felt like we had all won I'm telling you you we it was we were ready to we were ready to protest in March and it was like oh we were we were ready we like we your ride of dies out here okay I know so even in your speech it was so inspirational when you when you got your Academy Award and and you said The Best Is Yet To Come CU you said and I got to know how the heck do you emote and Whisper at the same time how do you do that I don't know just the breath the breath control the breath it was so powerful when you did it now and we are headed out after we you talk to you we're going to the NAACP image Awards cuz I was nominated the show was nominated so I want to ask you Angela do you have any advice for like an award speech do I emotes do I scream do I come L do I fight like what is don't fight don't you won okay okay I don't have to so what should I is there um always what you're feeling in your heart that's that's the best what you're feeling the love you're feeling the you doing here little fast metabolism do Fast Metabolism yeah okay so do you have do you work out and you a little workout yeah little cardio on one day a little strength training on another day and a little massage on the third and okay you know what that's a good diet right that's a good and speaking of a little massage on the third let's talk about your husband Courtney B oh good segue good segue I ran right into that I'm feeling you a little massage on the third I I love just your enduring love you guys have been together for 26 years plus that makes me so happy Angela do you remember when like when you knew Courtney B Vance was the one um I think we we were at a a play in uh in he he had come with someone else I had come with someone else and just saw him there of course we're friends from way back in the day and I just saw how attentive he was to you know to others there in the audience you know making sure that we were taken care of and I thought what a a wonderful trait for some you know getting nothing out of it but wanting to make sure that they were comfortable and that's when I said let me take a closer Peak really and you know and it's so funny because Courtney when he was here like his love for you was so on display so much is there something that like a single women we should be looking for in a man when we well I always say you know you just when you're dealing with someone you just have to make sure that their core is pure because we all make mistakes and we're not clones of one another but you know if they have your best interest at heart and others and others you know everybody can behave for the weekend for the six months for the whatever but it's how they treat others as well and Al also know that it's how how much are we or how willing we are to ask for forgiveness to say we're sorry to negotiate you know oh that's so much work but okay all right all right no and I love it but it is it's the work you put in in the in and what you receive from it and now you got your twins you got Slater and bronwin like they were little I that's what I was going to say I remember when they were little okay remember when they I remember when they were little okay and now they're graduating high school Angela okay and I heard that you toured 26 colleges it was exhausting oh my gosh that was Courtney's idea I me 26 colleges he loved it he loved being on every campus talking to every president every wh every every student I was like it and we took a um an RV so you cramped in a little little thing rolling around I was like and and put me in the hotel and I'll meet you at noon for lunch and then I can go on then I got strength how you like you're going to be an empty nester how are you going to do so you want to do Theater now cuz you'll have more time I to that's my first love theater I went to you know drama school start them started on the stage you know haven't been on stage a long time was Mountain Top maybe about 10 years ago myself and I would love to come back you wait till you see me on stage you wait wait till I hit the back of the house okay that's when you learn to use that that voice that deep that whisper to reach the back of the house all right well we are waiting we got our money in hand to get these tickets to see you on Broadway sis let me find something good okay you will and another show that I love you on congratulations on season 7 of 911 911 so 911 premieres tonight and you know you are the executive producer one of me you one of okay well I'm not interviewing them I'm interviewing you all right all right you are the executive producer one of the executive producers and you also star in the show and it's so good like what do you love about making 911 listen those individuals there they are the best in the business and the crew but the crew behind us look everybody we have so much fun um you know don't sleep don't come and take a nap waiting on you know waiting cuz you going to get pictures videos they gonna make jokes they you know yeah tell hello she the best yes she is such the best everybody is the but the show is just so good we just celebrated our 100th Ann uh episode also 100 episodes 100th Ann that is a big feat that's a big feet today that's big feet because so many shows do not stay on the air so 100 episodes that y'all are working hard did it and now okay for and you are always and they really got me working hard trying to get this first episode out for season 7 I mean we're coming for it how I don't I don't it's like a mini movie the season seven that you're doing and not only this not only season 7 I just saw you in a Netflix movie damsel okay and let me say this number one number one on Netflix okay you are playing royalty again lady bayford okay yeah and it was really good like when do you do you breathe at all it sometimes it feel very short gas oh my gosh I just let yes so damel can you tell everybody about damel damel I mean for those of you who loved like Game of Thrones you know that that sort of world that visual that bigger than bigger than life sci-fi you know it's it's that but it's this young woman coming of age and she doesn't need anyone to save her she saves herself she saves herself going have a good time we're going to have a good time it'll be so legendary got you feeling good
