What’s coming to Walt Disney World after 2024 - The Future is bright

discussing the exciting future for the Disney parks and what we know is coming and what might be in development let's start off with what we have coming very soon tiis Bayou Adventure when this was first announced back in 2020 it came under huge backlash with lots of people not wanting to see the closure of the classic Disney attraction Splash Mountain lots of people didn't believe that with the state of the Disney Company at the time of announcement they wouldn't be able to replace this ride with a highquality EET attraction however after the 2020 announcement and the covid-19 pandemic the news on this attraction was silence until in 2022 the Disney Company released further information on the ride along with concept art Disney knew this attraction had to be big and it had to be a worthy replacement to Splash Mountain Splash Mountain then closed in May 2023 and imagineers quickly got to work on the re theme and now in the present just under a year later the ride is nearly complete yesterday imagineers released new footage of the new animatronics coming to the ride these animatronics look really good and look similar level to what we have seen overseas at Disneyland Tokyo which is the quality we have been wanting to see here for years and it now seems Disney has finally put their hands in in their pockets to invest in animatronics and less screens which we have seen in recent Disney attractions a opening date hasn't yet been announced but we know the ride is in the final testing stage as we have now seen imagineers riding the Splash Mountain replacement so when do we think this ride will open our thoughts are between Memorial Day May 27th to June 10th the reason behind June 10th is we already know that multiple new experiences around the Walt Disney parks are opening on June 10th and the only park with nothing new opening on this date is Magic Kingdom onto the next attraction which we know is coming to Disney and that is the new country bears musical jamere red for Disney The Country Bears are getting ready to put on a new show that pays homage to the oery style shows of Nashville while the country bear musical jambur will include Easter eggs from the beginning to the end including a familiar tune fans may remember the Bears will sing new reinterpreted Disney Tunes in different genres of country music Bare Necessities forget about your worries and your stri I mean those Bare Necessities that's how a bear can rest in E the simple necessities of life nice The Country Bears played their final show on January 27th and the show is due to reopen later this this summer to play now in the good old key of G Z and z t friend bar name tenness Zing a next up is the new communicore Hall and Plaza this was originally due to reopen with the rest of the Epcot transformation communicore Hall in Plaza was delayed and is now due to open on June 10th when communicore Hall does open it will include a new permanent Mickey and friends meet and greet space which concept art suggests will be Behind the Walls of spaceship earth paneling there will also be a Demo Kitchen Gallery space And A Mixology Bar communicore Plaza will have a stage for live performances once this opens the front of Epcot will be completely Construction Wall free for the first time in years next up the test track 3.0 which yesterday we found out will begin its transformation from June 17th although we don't know when test track will reopen we have now gotten another concept image where we can see the front of the test track build building will have a new Sleek round facade and the old canopy structure will be removed we can also see a new lighting package and a new sign the re-imagined version of the ride was announced last year and will draw inspiration from World of motion which test trck replaced Disney released the following concept at the time imagineers said they plan to bring that Spirit of optimism from World of motion to the next iteration of test track chevolet will remain the sponsor the last major update was in 2012 and timing indicates this reimagining is the result of Chevy renewing their sponsorship contract the current version of test track sees guests creating a virtual concept car in the Chevrolet Design Center before buckling up in a six passenger Sim car to take it for a spin next up we get into the all but confirmed starting off at Animal Kingdom at destination d23 guests were given a revised Peak at the Blue Sky ideas for a project planned for Disney's Animal Kingdom which now has the transformation of Dino Land turning the area into a tropical America's themed land this land would feature stories from the Encanto and Indiana Jones franchises we will start off with the Encanto attraction which is a rumored Dark Ride taking inspiration from Hong Kong Disneyland's Mystic Manor this is Hong Kong's version of The Haunted Mansion and it is a trackless dark ride where Riders explore a mystifying Museum where exotic artifacts from around the globe come to life right before your eyes this attraction was a big hit when it opened in 2013 and is held as one of the top attractions made by Disney we can definitely see Disney using this concept for the new enconto attraction and it's also the type of ride we think Disney's Animal Kingdom needs an indoor dark attraction which gives guests a well- needed sitdown and airon [Applause] break moving on to Indiana Jones where we will see the current dinosaur attraction reimagined we already have this attraction over in Disneyland Anaheim however the attraction coming to Animal Kingdom will be a brand new story dinosaur currently does not have an official closing date but it is expected to close later this year the project is still in the very early stages of development in fact Disney just revealed that imagineers are currently on Research trips to Mexico to gather inspiration for the new area no way you made it this is imagineer Neil he's giving us a behind the curtain look at the planning and research that's going into the changes coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom I think you're going to like what you see behind the curtain recently took a trip down to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula to study culture art and the archaeology of the Maya imagine build 3D models to help visualize the stories that we're trying to tell to bring the Fantastical and magical to life that's all for now I've got a really good feeling about this Disney recently filed a permit with the south Florida Water Management District and while that may not sound super exciting it was the location that got our attention why the permit is for the dinand USA area of Animal Kingdom the permit that was filed was for a trailer compound typically these types of setups come to big construction areas which has many wondering what this could mean for the future of dooland the permit outlines that the new compound will also have parking and utilities for those who will be working on site we also know that the tough to be a bug 3D attraction will be closing later this year to be replaced by a new zootopia show the show will explore biomes from zootopia both familiar and brand new and will feature characters from the 2016 film like Judy hops Nick wild and more additional characters included in the concept are include gazelle Chief BOGO flash Priscilla and others the attraction will additionally feature an officer claw Houser audio animatronic which is also seen in the concept art the animatronic will likely be similar to the one that recently debuted at Shanghai Disneyland as part of that Park's new zootopia Centric expansion finally we also know about the Blue Sky idea of what's beyond Big Thunder according to a report from Scott Gustin on X Walt Disney World is in the process of filing permits for the development behind Magic Kingdom in order to prepare the area for expansion previously said to be the largest in the Park's history first announced at d23 Expo 2022 this expansion for Magic Kingdom has included many blue sky ideas including lands themed to Pixar's Coco Encanto and an entire area dedicated to Disney villains however Encanto has shifted over to the tropical America's expansion in Disney's Animal Kingdom during destination d23 in September 2023 Bruce vaugh Chief creative officer of Walt Disney imagineering described the project as similar in scope to Pandora and Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in January 2024 Disney teased that even more announcements are to come for the project in this area could we also see a Coco themed saurin 2.0 a poent recently filed by Disney shows how they plan to improve flying theater attractions like sorin with a greater range of motion the updated flying theater attraction would be more aggressive with heaving pitching and rolling to simulate turbulence we are also hopeful that in the future we will hear more about figment a new video for sarin with theater upgrades the previously announced update to spaceship earth plans for the Wonders Of Life pavilion Cars Land for Hollywood Studios and Haunted Mansion updates the future of Walt Disney World is bright
