Westinghouse igen4500 VS Onan Cummins P4500I Full Test. NOT EVEN CLOSE!😳

hey guys welcome back to gavin's garage okay today we're going to be testing comparing the cummins versus the westinghouse which one stands out from this crowd they're identical generators but we're going to try to figure out which one has that one unique feature that will outperform the other okay so stay tuned we're gonna watch this we're gonna do this test cummins versus westinghouse we're gonna run the westinghouse first i'm gonna try to power both acs and some appliances and then we'll come back and compare that to the cummins back to back okay so let's get that started i don't want to keep you guys waiting too long let's see which one wins cummins versus westinghouse okay so i'm gonna get the comments set up let's get fired up okay so i'm gonna hook it up to the uh remember i always use a surge protector when i do my test if in case that voltage drops too low i want it to cut off that power i don't want to mess up my rv with a low voltage so always use the surge protector all right let's go ahead and get it started okay so we should be getting a power here pretty soon to the rv like i was saying before one of my subscribers uh steve said that he really thinks this to generator is going to come down to brand preference and i agree with him because all the testing i'm doing i'm seeing these two generators are very identical and there's not too many difference if you're if you're more of a onan guy a higher brand it's a little more expensive than the westinghouse 4500 you're probably gonna buy this one right here you know but when it comes down to it they have this almost the same db the same power we're gonna finish this test and i'll see exactly what they're about because i'm gonna give them the exact same test okay here you go we just uh got power you see that the um charging unit on the bat on the rv just kicked on it's pulling around 300 watts that's the battery charger let's go ahead and get an rv we should have power now first thing we're gonna do is turn on the fridge okay the fridge is on let's go straight to the ac okay the phrase just kicked on turn on the first ac there's some lights down here well that was a huge job for the first ac okay guys so we got the first ac let's hit that second ac and see if we can power the two let's get out there and that's where the difference in this test gonna come from okay that's the fan on the second act okay we're at 20 amps let's put the microwave on it i think this will be the test one minute whoa overload that's what i wanted okay overloaded okay so we're going to turn off the resting house we're get right into the oh and move this attachment right into the cummins let's get this plugged in pull the bonding plug fire it up we're doing this test in eco mode we got the delay countdown 128 seconds okay so this is the test for the uh cummins 4500. all right here we go okay guys so we're going to start this test the westinghouse did this test at 38.8 we're going to go ahead and see if we can replicate that with the own end i'm gonna turn on the two ac let's head inside the rv okay let's do the same let's turn on all the lights goes right right to the fridge and turn on the fridge there you go let's prove you a chance let's see what happens with the fridge there you go the compressors comes on now give the fridge a time a little time to equalize then we're gonna hit the first ac make sure the fridge is on yep turn on the first ac compressor is gonna the fan is gonna come on there you go that's the first act see the they're real close okay second act oops there you go [Music] got the fan come on [Music] there goes the second ac okay we got two ac running now know what time it is overload time let's see if we can run the microwave got some water in there for one minute okay guys so this is where the westin house shut off the champion is the onan the onan is handling the load at 38.8 amps 4 000 watts so we got the the fridge the two ac's and the microwave on it's gonna do that whole minute okay guys a clear winner the onan definitely has a better inverter wow [Music] this one's the winner you can power your two ac the fridge and a microwave and i have a big microwave wow that is impressive okay guys it is without a doubt that the on-end generator is far superior than the westinghouse [Music] facts you saw it you saw it right here in the test it handles the two ac the refrigerator and the microwave on eco mode okay so that's it test this down let's shut them off [Music] off fridge off and all the lights okay guys i think we have a winner right here the online cummins is far superior it seems like it has a better inverter that's the thing you can't just judge the outer appearance of these generators wow i didn't think it was gonna do it it did it so if you guys are out shopping for one of these um my recommendation is spend the extra 200 bucks and get this one because uh the westinghouse shut off right away right when i turned the microwave on it just powered down the on-end kept going it ran the microwave for a whole minute the overlap the overload light did come on but it just kept going just like i went when i tested it the first time it was the same thing i just couldn't get it to overload you know it's definitely uh definitely the champ all right guys so if you like this video go ahead and give me a thumbs up and go to it and it's hooked up to the uh house right now and the power is really clean coming out of the wasted house as well real nice sign wave okay from the western house put it right into the old end the uh all right guys we got the cummins running this thing is quiet 52. okay we got the cummins off eco mode right now 59 at 10 feet go back to 20. 54 off eco mode all right guys we got the westinghouse set up to do the sound test i have it the exact same position let's go ahead and fire it up it's in the eco mode right now step back to rock 20. it's going down to 52 so they sound about the same let's turn the eco mode off step back the same spot 53.6 is lowest i'm just gonna call it the same as far as the decibel tests go good this is the ambient right now so right at 48. it's very good okay so uh that's it for the test westinghouse cummins we all saw what happened the cummins did power the two acs and the microwave almost set to 40 amps that's 38.8 amps and it did not overload the westinghouse overloaded right when i turned on the microwave so that just shows that the cummins has a far superior inverter than the westinghouse everything else might be the same but the
