Wes Anderson talks like people think Michael Cera talks.

I really hope the Brocolli's decide to try something new like this for the Bond franchise. Imagine a Bond anthology film, narrated by a classic Bond actor (Conery) sitting in a bar telling a series of embellished tales of youth, daring and glory for Queen and country. Each one could be a contained story more implausible than the last. Each staring a different actor as a younger Bond. Every story inspires incredulity from an ever sceptical yet growing audience in the bar.

Grand Budapest Ski Scene was better than Spectre.

he should just make this movie himself, it doesn't have to be part of the Bond series to be a great spy movie.

This would make for a good short film.

Link.

His idea is "mission deferred," which is more of a joke suggestion. Where the Cold War is over so there's no "gigs" left. Bond goes in to see M but M is busy so James goes off to do whatever and gets into bar fights. It's not much of an idea.

All the Bond fans I've talked to said they liked Spectre and actually hope the next Bond era returns to the light hearted fun that the series used to have. As much as we all liked the Craig films, we need a way out of the self-seriousness, cause it can't live there forever. I think a great way to do that would be a new Bond (or the same one, no preference) and shopping around that idea of giving the series to acclaimed directors who have always thought about taking a go at it.

I know Tarantino has mentioned thoughts about what he'd do if he directed a Bond film, and although this Anderson clip is more of a joke, I'd like to see other directors have a go at it too.

MY BOND MOVIE:

James bond has been fucking women all over the globe for decades... which means he must have loads of illegitimate children hanging around on every content...

So James bond JNR, realises they are different from the rest of the kids... they have inherited their fathers talents and skills...

for each film you meet a different "bond jnr" and you can have a female bond, a black bond, a disabled bond, a russian bond... all the bonds....

you can create an indian bond, purely for the indian movie markets...

So yeah, that's my idea for bond... his illegitimate kids.
