You guys may have seen this probably in the comments of nearly every channel I've come across. It begins with an innocent comment "Laugh my ass off the part where he was driving down the street with all the people" That was indeed a good part of the video, and it proves that somebody real is writing this, but when you scroll down, PewDiePie left a comment "You are lucky if you're reading this go to 'this link' got a big surprise for you." So this spam bot here is very intelligent and very spooky. They have got people watching and leaving very bombass youtube comments, and then they have bots impersonating the channels and spamming links. And this is on pretty much every video on youtube. Skynet is real, and its objective is not to destroy the earth; it's to sell a bunch of crap and spam YouTube. And some one's manning that ship. This monster has a head. There is a person writing a real comment. And I know about this bot because we've banned this bot like twenty times, and it comes back stronger every week, dude. Well, you know what? I am sick of it. And I wanna investigate this and see what the hell is going on with this bot. Alright? I've got my American hat on. I've got my goggles. I am ready to venture forth, bravely! If anyone is actually curious to what it is, I have some knowledge in the subject. The people doing it are not intrested in your information and won't install any viruses to your computer, they are simply out for the money. When someone completes one of the surveys, they get a X amount of dollars (depending on what ocuntry your from). Everything that happens before ("add resources", "generate gold", "extract gems" or whatever) is just there to lure you into completing the survey. A better looking and more convincing site results in a higher convertion rate aka more money for the person behind it. This is one of the more popular methods for newbies (and even some of the more experienced) trying to make money online, but feel like it's time to step their game up from swagbucks. The concept is simple, and it doesn't take a lot of skill to create something convincing enough to lure people online.
What will determine how succesful your scheme will be, and also what discourages most people from making money online, is getting the traffic. One popular method used to be commenting on a video and then using bots to make it a top comment. However, the efficency of this has decreased drastically, so people need to constantly find new methods. One method that started floating around last year was creating accounts that a first glance looks just like the creator of the video to comment with. Optimally, you want to get the 500th response to a comment from the creator. Why? Because the creator's comment is almost garuanteed to become a top comment, and since an update from last year, no more than 500 responses are allowed to any comment. This means that your comment will be visible to anyone even glancing at the comments. The method is more or less saturated by now since it occurs on every single video, but one year ago, before it got popular, many people got excited to see that PewDiePie was giving away a free iPhone.
That was a long text for me to write, but I hope someone learned something from it :)
