[Music] i like to tell people this everything that you see is basically generations of bad ideas we're on about generation 15 of bad ideas out in this [Music] area we enjoy the land here we enjoy having people come stay and visit whether they hunt whether they fish or whether they just stay and hang out for a couple days that's what we love about this place i had a roommate that worked at cummins engine company in town called me one morning because he worked first shift so he got off early afternoon and called me and said hey let's uh go out to my aunt and uncle's property and go swimming in the lake we never got in the lake never went swimming sat in a screened in porch that was where the existing house was and i fell in love with the property there's an elk lane right in the grass right there that will roll the window down and you'll be literally 15 feet from it don't you start rubbing on the truck what are you doing what are you smelling smell huh what are you smelling hey cut it out knock it off nope we are not sparring bud this time's gone on it's just it's a never-ending project it's you're not gonna have 414 acres and ever just say okay i'm done now there's always something different there's always something i want to change you can wake up and go man i'm really bored and then look on paper and go there is no way you can be bored there's always something that needs to be done or can be done on the property there's probably probably 80 deer in the 80 deer in the pens there's probably a hundred deer around on the property i don't know where that buck's at now he's he's still right down here we found a tin like a little round plate style 10 on the property out in the woods and it said hidden hollow that's what that's what this branch i'd never seen anything that said hidden hollow on it and but i found it out in the woods on the property here and i thought man that's got to be the name of this place thank god and thank the ford mortar company for beautiful backup cameras and these ford raptors make it so easy i had always liked log homes and then i had a couple chances to go to some people's properties that had really big log homes and i was like wow this is this is great you know if i could build something like that one day it'd be amazing so it was a fun process to go through but it was like little things like i wanted my master bedroom on the main level i wanted i knew the items that i wanted in my man cave slash basement i wanted bowling lanes i wanted a pool table i wanted a shuffleboard table i wanted a theater a bar [Music] the song you're playing oh you just [Music] watch [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] haha it was a big adjustment when i finally moved in here because it seemed like everything was so quiet i mean the inside of the house isn't quiet you know the main the main level the great room's loud because of the waterfalls from the they go into the fish tank and go into the stream so there's there's always noise and it doesn't sound just eerie you know from being quiet inside but you come outside and at the at the beginning of when i moved here it seemed really really quiet to me but it's like now i've lived here 10 years now and there isn't anything about being outside it's quiet it's like you learn to stop long enough and your ears pick up everything this is just one of those places that we can do so much with it and the way the house was not necessarily designed but the way the house is designed has allowed us to do a lot of new things that are more than just having it as a as a private residence you
