I had an AWD car towed once (on purpose). I requested a flatbed truck and told them it was an AWD car. They showed up with a regular truck and the driver told me that no damage would be done. They did $6k worth of damage to my transmission and I got a new one. I really wish people would listen sometimes.
On another note, apparently, towtruck drivers don't have to stop at stop signs or secure their loads before moving. Interesting.
It took over an hour for them to get towed. My experience with tow trucks has been way different. Once I parked in 711 went in and got a bottled water. Walked around the corner to look at a mural that was being painted and when I came back (10 mins tops) my car was gone and had to pay $80 to a man with brown teeth to get it back.
That was the look of a man with a solid "I told you so" for his girl. You know they sat in that space that extra minute discussing it.
I doubt they didn’t hear the speaker and read the sign
would have been better with actual audio from the event
One of the auto-loaders came to repo a car at my old apartment.
It was parked behind my new Jeep and he was trying to jimmy the hooks in there.
I came out of the apartment and he got defensive saying he was allowed to take the car.
I told him it wasn’t my car, and I would move my Jeep out of the way to avoid any damage. He was kinda stunned but said “That’d be great.”
As he was driving off the other neighbor came out and chased him down the road. I don’t think she knew I gave him access.
