edit: I have heard it pronounced this way in London & Australia as well. If you are English speaking without any exposure to Afrikaans or to correct pronunciation, I guess it makes sense to say "dye-ant-woord."
I was listening to Finnish radio at work at one point. They were talking about Die Antwoord, constantly pronouncing it just like in this video. Bothered me quite a bit more than it should have.
As an American who has always pronounced it this way, what is the correct way?

I'm an American and always read it as if it was german, ie: "dee ahnt-vort". I also understand that Afrikaans came from dutch and from studying german I know they are similar, I doubt most Americans would know this. Most of us study useful languages like Spanish and most probably think Afrikaans is a tongue clicking indigenous language. I probably sound elitist but i just know my people.
