We sent the Avengers up to SPACE!

oh there's no cars here who here loves space this guy we do I mean just look at it it's huge today's video is gonna be insane we saw this other youtuber kill him he sent a Big Mac burger to space on a weather balloon and we were like dude that is such a cool concept what can we send this space I'll be really really fun since the New Avengers movie is coming out everyone loves Avengers right so we're like let's send the Avengers to space the little characters but before we can go inside and send these fellas off to space we have to get our supplies which we did yesterday ok guys we are at the mall because there is a shop here in the mall that has all the tiny little figurines because we need small ones to build like a nice little set to send up in space this store has all of them these guys yeah we got Hulk we got Thor Captain America okay we're at Best Buy now because we for this video want to get the brand-new GoPro for maximum quality guys yeah and we don't have a new GoPro so here's what we just got out of Best Buy and check out what we got the brand new GoPro Hero sevens not just one we got two of these things and we got them specifically for this video but here's the thing guys this video has the chance to go wrong in many ways one the batteries could die up in space too we can lose the GoPros and all the footage I'm not gonna keep going just cuz that's good enough but this is a risk and at risk we're willing to take for you guys we almost okay we almost got one of the best 360 cameras that Best Buy has but there was a problem it only records for 60 minutes and we don't know how long this is gonna take and then imagine us losing all of this to GoPros a 360 cam so we are just praying that this footage makes it we are literally running all over town to get this video completed so we just went to REI and we got this emergency space blanket even look at the name the original space brand it's a thermal blanket so we're going to cover the entire box that we're gonna send up to space and this so that way it can retain 80% of well that says body heat but maybe it'll just retain like normal heat I don't know we're just taking every precaution we can to make sure this is a success I also got a new hat for space adventures right now we are going to try to find a parachute for our vehicle because here's the thing we have went to or we've called probably at least seven stores for parachutes and my goodness not many people have parachutes around town here at a very rare school it's literally called space models they build spaceships so trying to get a parachute if they know anything about space they know a lot about space look at these rockets okay we have our spaceship it is like as light as a feather and you open it and check inside whoa plenty of space for supplies all that we need and it's an insulator already yeah we just tape up all these edges as well and then we build a platform out here and the GoPros in here filming outwards so you see all the characters in space so we're back home and here is the majority of our supplies who got and here is the balloon as well this is the giant weather balloon we're gonna be launching to space coming up soon you probably are we're scientists ladies and gentlemen let us introduce you to today's flight crew we got Iron Man Thanos Thor Captain America spider-man Captain Marvel Hulk and whoever that guy is and war machine nice the Avengers are ready woody may be joining you guys didn't know this but in the new endgame movie woody is like one of the special Avengers yeah he comes with superpowers now one of the most important things about our spaceship is this it's a GPS tracker that way we can find it when it comes back to earth because we have legit no idea where it's gonna land we live in Colorado so it could land way out in the woods like we might have to go hiking who knows but without this we didn't be able to find it so huge that's coming in clutch so we've got our first hole installed for the camera camera one not a bad angle yeah we're gonna have to tape up this inside and outside and everything because the cords are gonna come out of here and we don't want all this space air or for a lack of better words no air and then we'll have the other GoPro on this side stick out this way just for like your viewing purposes check this out we have the GoPro set up in here we're installing wall insulation or whatever you want to call this but who knows if it'll work please please work okay the lunar module is basically done on the inside so now we have to put all the characters in formation but these things always see their heads are huge so they don't really balance well so you have to use much glue we are applying this super glue hoping this is like super firm we shall see though it's a nice little setup there I must say are they excited to go to space today yeah unfortunately they don't get to look out at space but that's not the point they might get scared yeah we don't want to get too scared so we have this spaceship is ready has all the components we're weighing it to see if our math is correct orbital mechanics for engineering students you have got to find the formula for this how many pounds do we need to end to make it come down into my backyard ah quick we are now on the road science experiment is right there and now we are heading to get this giant helium tank because that's how we're going to blow up this balloon and let me tell you this balloon is huge this is an epic helium tank I wonder how much helium in is in here it is time to head over to the weather station here we are guys koat a newsChannel five this is where we're gonna be launching because we need to tell you but we're teaming up with the local weatherman he's gonna be helping us out with this oh this is gonna be so epic call uh-huh please let us in we are in the newsroom check it out they just found the light we are here First Alert Newswatch let's go we are here with Sam Sam why don't you tell everybody what you do what you do here what's your role so I'm a meteorologist at KOAT here in Colorado Springs the NBC affiliate and I do the morning weather and the midday I do my own forecast there's anything breaking weather snow beauty and I let you know oh I think I can handle it I think we're in good hands so Sam is going to show us like what the weather is today just so we have a better idea at what we're gonna be looking at when it comes to the balloon and direct this is a great idea absolutely see you guys are actually kind of good shape today I'm gonna get in show our winds cuz for weather balloons the wind it's kind of the big thing it will start at the ground like we're gonna launch the weather a little bit and then we'll go up so the only thing for a weather balloon that you really can't launch it in is a thunderstorm because it will attract that light thing else oh you don't want to know what so we start at the ground and I try to follow where this thing is gonna go so rather we watch it there's kind of a brisk 15 mile-per-hour wind at the surface so as we launch the balloon in our KOAT a studio what it's going to do is it's going to start drifting north just a little bit okay but this balloon is going to be shooting up into the atmosphere so what's gonna be climbing pretty aggressively so it'll stop moving south and eventually what it's gonna do is turn northeast we know that when we look at the jet stream and our jet stream here I can take these icons off and show you a little bit better this is the middle of the atmosphere 500 millibars so we started to the ground the middle shows the winds are moving northeast finally what it's gonna do is get all the way up to the top of the troposphere and head towards the stratosphere that's where it's gonna have some of the strongest winds and the winds get much stronger the higher up you go it's gonna go up about a hundred thousand feet and it's gonna take about 90 minutes to do it this is kind of per average for a letter blue and then it's gonna burst and then it's going to fall but you put a parachute on the package and that will just gently let it come back and okay well let's get out to the field and let's get going obviously we'll do it several times and we've got our GPS tracker in there so I just got an update but it is tracking right now so that's good news I mean you don't want it too huge because it expands as it goes in the duct tape [Music] biggest issue has been it's a little too heavy and hasn't been going off so we took out the extra battery pad the extra GoPro took out some more cardboard test flight number eight we have lost pounds we cut holes into the side of our aircraft yeah I just we're trying to wait for wind but there you go that's it you did it guys so as it keeps going it should eventually take hold of the tree Oh what if it lands on the roof well might be on the roof now fellas I mean it's light enough to go but disappeared all of a sudden we just see it where look oh yeah well is it goes up the balloon will expand more shout out to the fellas for helping us out I don't know what we would have done without him the balloon is off there we're gonna go and try and track it or back at home base and we've been tracking this balloon and package for a while also the thing is since we had to take so much weight off this thing we only have one GoPro in there and it's only has its own battery it doesn't like so I like attached to an external battery like we planned right so this is where we launched it went like this way then kind of me like a whoa turn and came back this way and now it's way up here and so we're just not sure like how long and how much has been being recorded like and what the battery's life is that so and this could end up in like Wyoming you see the problem is the plan with these weather balloons is it's supposed to go straight up and then once it gets to like a hundred thousand feet the balloon pops and that's why it comes back down but if the blue never pops it's right only take 90 minutes it's only at 9,000 feet what almost 10,000 we're only 1/10 of the way to the max lengua we're trying to decide what would be better for you guys obviously the best scenario was the balloon went to space and came right back down and we got cool footage but you get to option 2 which is either it just didn't go very far and we go pick it up right now and see what the footage looks like or it flies all the way off to like Nebraska or Wisconsin and then somebody like finds it then ships it back to us what would be the most fun footage that's like the odds of somebody finding it who knows what those odds are or it just lands in some field and no one ever sees it so you have to drive to Nebraska to get a GoPro even know if there's anything on it like did you promise you hit record before we launched it well any of the Avengers still be alive I hope we are gonna keep you guys updated on this balloon adventure it's still in the air it's been going at it for hours yeah we thought it was coming now now it's going back up and it's going to the wrong direction it almost made us at 20,000 feet elevation which is pretty good our goal was ninety to a hundred thousand though so it's been about three days we actually had a business trip that we had to take a couple days off for fly to a different state so the balloon has been out here four days chillin and the battery died for the tracker right so who knows if it could have blown off like this could be a ultimate fail if we can't find this thing I hope not the trackers been off for probably around 48 hours now and we're going to the last known location so it's like over a hundred miles away yeah so that's gonna be the worst if we can't find it we're already on dirt roads like this part of the country before you do definitely and I was just thinking it's kind of cool to think that our balloon was a traveling all of this that way oh we're going to dirt road mode guys we're about less than 20 minutes out as you can see there's no mounts or anything so that's a good sign we are worried about it getting stuck in a tree or something but look it's just like farming bill this is like corn fields we had a bunch of green stuff out back there probably lettuce we have seen millions if not billions of cows yeah we could land in a cow pasture which it might be fun there's what happens when you watch out for days to episode you have no idea what you're getting into guys oh we still have a little ways to drive then you follow this path though we've come to a gate from here it looks like it's open guys we are really off course now Harry this has turned into some serious adventure guys there's like somebody's house up here and the only way to get to this balloon is on this guy's I don't even know if this is his property or what this is but the only option is to go figure it out we must proceed obviously we weren't really prepared for this as you can hear goodness they're hitting all the weeds my color is a car not a truck so it's barely making it over these bumpy roads this is cool out of here guys we're just rolling up on farmer Bill's house we're at the end of the road there and this is where the all of our signals were peeing over here I got a lake over here or something but this kind of looks sketchy I mean I'm not sure if anyone lives here right now everything looks like closed up but [Music] let's go see a while I hear flies all over the place this is turning out to be like the strangest adventure I've ever been on where is this balloon why does no one home hello there's no cars here or anything all right I'm not knocking what Liz ain't no tank dog was anyone there no I feel like we're like in a movie right now doesn't it feel like that hello this road back here goes all the way around there there's the house so what's the game plan we just don't have any service so it's hard to see literally the location on the map just disappeared I think it's over that way yeah yeah I feel like it should be pretty easy to see I think this hill will definitely give us a good vantage point we can look out over the country here apparently this looks like it used to be a lake but we're in the middle of nowhere guys you can't see it on camera but there's a fence over there and it looks like a bright red thing maybe maybe that's it we're gonna go check it please be it get under the fence boy quickly there's a big gap but there's a lot of cactus families out here you don't want to fall one of these you'll be sorry or these ouch guys I think we found it no I'm not kidding hurry run no way this stick we found it there's the parachute it got caught on the fence it's got a GoPro all the avengers made it oh no way the GoPro is attached boxes attached this is the tracker I can't believe it guys I've actually found it I thought this was going to be an ultimate fail Thank You Arden yes we got to keep this as like the memories but these guys made it through their journey wherever they went I am so excited to see this GoPro footage quick back to the car just think for a second this balloon flew over a hundred miles to where we are in this field of nothingness yeah that's incredible we just got back it's time to plug in the GoPro and see [Music] video you have to leave a like we want to be successful with this weather balloon stuff we need to send up another one and actually get some footage of space itself the Lionel things here so if you
