[S] One of the most common questions
[we wind up getting is- Hey, I'm coming to Japan. What should I eat when we're there? [M] Hmm, what do you think?
Like, sushi, sashimi? [S] CoCo Curry! [M] Now I know what some of you are saying, you're like- [M] Did you really just recomend [S e M] curry [M] to somebody? [S] In Japan? [M] Like, that's not- That's weird right? [S] Wrong. [M] That's not weird at all. [M] Curry is mega popular [S] Super popular!
[M] and it's everywhere. [M] And that idea that you have in your head
of curry being specifically Indian, like- Butter chicken and mutter paneer. [M] Take it away. [S] Take that out
of your head, toss it. [S] This is a whole new thing that you're gonna love. This is CoCo Curry. [M] Now for those of you at home
that are saying things like- Well, I don't like Indian curry,
I don't think I'm gonna like CoCo Curry. You gotta really wipe that out
of your mind because CoCo Curry's flavour is nothing like Indian curry and it's nothing like Thai curry. It's its own level of flavour. In fact, let's not even think of it as curry, let's just think of it as its own thing, like uh- Japanese sexy sauce. Ok, don't- Don't google that. Japanese sexy sauce. Oh dear god! It's actually not as bad as
I thought it would be. Ooh, they got a recipe. Push the bing bong bell. Time to get hyped. (ordering in Japanese) Oh yeah. (more ordering in Japanese) Ok. It's happening! The order has been placed. [M] So now that you've made it into a CoCo Curry, how the heck do you order? We're gonna break this down for you. And then we're gonna tell you what
our favorite order combinations are. Huh, this is such an exciting day Ducky. First of all you're gonna choose your sauce base. You can do pork, you can do beef,
or you can do a hashed beef. From there you're gonna choose
how much rice you want. If you choose the 200, nihyaku grams,
which we did, you're actually gonna save a little bit of money. And it goes all the way up to
900 grams of rice. Hey, son. 900 grams of rice, isn't that like- [S] A lot of rice to order. [M] Like, that's a lot.
Did you want curry with your rice? Or is it just rice? Next up you choose how spicy you want it. This is on a scale of 0 to 10. We ourselves are tenners. I'd like to go above ten, if possible. And this is not for the faint of heart. I mean, for us it's pretty faint. But like our friends have come
with us and had a 2 or 3, and they were like- Oh, it's spicy! [S] So we're not friends with them anymore. Yeah, relationship- [S, M] Relationship over. From there you have an option
only if you order the pork sauce curry. They'll ask you what sweetness level you want. So you can actually add like an additional
honey flavour with the pork one, but I mean- I've never ordered the pork one,
I always stick with the level 10 beefs. So- I mean, let me know if you try it. And last up, use your customization time. Now you can order a pre-one in advance
like the beef cutlet curry, with the beef sauce,
you choose your rice, you choose how spicy you want it
and then it's done. But if you're like us, you're gonna choose
your base curry, your rice, your spice, and then you're gonna add
whatever you want to it. We've got options like corn. They've got squid, they've got cheese, they've got beef cutlets, they've got five or six different types
of fried chicken. They've got eggplant, they've got mushrooms. There're so many options available to you. So if you come to CoCo Curry the first time
and you're like- Ah, it was alright. You're gonna need to come back again
and try a different option until you've perfected what it is
that you love about it. Now there're lots of different places
you can get Japanese curry. Lots of restaurants dedicated only to that. Lots of different franchises as well. CoCo Curry is our favorite. There's something special about the taste
that we just can't pinpoint. We've even tried googling it. We tried recreating the recipe at home. We followed other people's recipes. Nobody can get it right and
our guess as to why- Is because the CoCo, in CoCo Curry, actually stands for cocaine. I mean it's not like I'm addicted to CoCo Curry,
I mean, I can stop at anytime I want. It's just, you know like, for a good time.
You want like, CoCo Curry, right? You gather some friends-
Hey, let's have some CoCo Curry. Like, let's make this night fun,
you know what I'm saying? Oh yeah! Oh oh, ho ho ho, oh. I ordered the beef sauce based curry. I did 200 grams of rice. And then I added into my curry
kinoko, mushrooms. I added garlic. I added an onsen egg, which is kind of like a lightly poached egg. It mixes in with the curry and it gets so creamy. I added some cheese- [S] Now, I know what some of you
might be thinking. Ew, cheese in your curry? Look at white people ruining Asian food
again with cheese. But hey! Cheese was a part of the menu
before we ever got to CoCo Curry. Read the pages of here and you'll find cheese. It's not something we invented. And you know what?
Cheese in the curry is perfect. And then I ordered a chicken cutlet on the side. Doesn't that sound perfect? And now for the sexiest food porn shots ever recorded in eatyourkimchi history. I said it. Ooohh, CoCo Curry You know how I like it Oh yeah, give me that brown magic sauce That sexy Japanese secret sauce Slather that all over my body I mean, my rice Ooh, just like that Oh yeah CoCo Curry, give me that burn I ain't no vampire Yeah, give me that garlic Give me that garlic good Ooohh Let me see that egg Let me see that gold yolk you're
holding back from me Let me see that- Oh! Just like that Mix it in- Break up that katsu! Oh yeah, let me see that rice Let me see that rice get all
hot and bothered with that cheese Melt all together again Ooh, look at that cheese,
hiding underneath Dirty, dirty cheese Ooey and goey Oh I can't take it anymore CoCo Curry! There's music playing in my heart. My heart of hearts. The cheese is melted. Hmmm. I can taste beef. And then you get a hunk of roasted garlic. Back to the throat gets punched
with the level 10 spice. Nutmeg, cinnamon. Then you hit a mushroom,
then you get a piece of the katsu which it's been like, perfectly cooked. It's the most perfect dish ever created. [S] So you see, it's supposed to be my turn
to get some eating shots and Martina is supposed to hold the camera,
but she keeps on eating. Hmmm. [S] Hey! [M] What's that, CoCo Curry? You want me to make out with you? But I can't. There's so many people around. Right here? But I'm married. He'll know. Oh! You're still here, are you? So what I wound up getting,
I got the pork based curry with cheese and garlic flakes. So it's similar to Martina that way. I didn't get eggs, I got mushrooms
and I got a rosukatsu. The rosukatsu is kind of like a pork cutlet, except that has a little bit more
fattier bits to it. Rather than the hirekatsu which has uh- Fat bits cut out of it. And I love it, it's perfect. As for ranch though, I gotta tell ya. I do love me some ranch, but this is not a meal for ranch. I'm sorry buddy. I will save you for another day, but you have no place in CoCo Curry. Oh, I love this so much. Look at that. You see that? [M] This is not the sexiest food,
but we don't care. [S] What it lacks in photo quality, makes up for in taste. The sweat is forming. [S] Look at that shine righ there.
[M] Yeah, I can see it. Oh yeah. Now, while I'm not a little
tiny baby like Simon is, when I wear my big chunky glasses, this area gets so sweaty, that slowly my glasses start falling off
my face like this. And I'm like this, trying to hold them up. So I only come here in contact lenses. [S] Pro tip. It's important. Now I can honestly say, I think CoCo Curry is my favorite food. I mean, I love pizza and I love bread. But I can eat this for breakfast,
lunch and dinner. I don't think I ever not felt like it. It's like, no matter what,
I could eat CoCo Curry. It's all the cocaine. Let's go clean the house. Like how we don't even know
what cocaine does to people. I'm like- What does cocaine do to you? [S] As if you'd ever cleaned the house. Now something to not shy away from when you're
here are these little tiny pickles on the side. When you eat them on their own
it kinda has a sweet, salty, and sour thing happening all at once. But when you have it with the curry
it kind of cuts through the heaviness of it. You have a bite of curry, you have
a little bit of the palate cleansing pickels. We happen to love this so much that we buy them
at the front of the desk here, and then we take them home and
we have them for breakfast with us. I just- (babbling in love with CoCo Curry) Thank you for coming with us
to our happy place today. This CoCo Curry means so much to us. I just- I feel like we didn't give justice
to CoCo Curry. You know, I wanted to do this video
wearing matching yellow jumpsuits with like, CoCo Curry embroidered
on the back of it. We've actually been talking about
this video for months. [M] Months. [S] But we just finally realized-
Ok, we have to do a CoCo video. [M] Months. [S] We can't avoid it anymore. We kept going to CoCo Curry, I mean like, the day that we landed in Japan. [M] And we talked about this video
as we ate. [S] Yeah. And we were like, we're just putting this off.
We were putting it off because we didn't want it to be not as hyped
as it should be and I- I just hope it is. Ok girl, you're getting a little bit
too hyped about this. Why don't we make this a CoCo Curry special? [M] Really good idea! [S] What? We should live stream from CoCo Curry
next time we go. Live streaming at CoCo Curry, done. [M] I mean, you know that there's like the mukbangs
where you can like, eat food. [S] Yeah. So this will be just like a 'curry-bang'. [M] Just like, that's it. [S] Just- There you go.
