have you deleted any of our old photos you deleted a lot of our photos and unfollowed me on Instagram I did not yeah you did I did not I follow you I tried searching for your name one time like hey it's not popping up it's not popping up why were you searching for my name [Music] hey long time we'll see so weird I'm BG albarassan I am 32 years old hi I'm Alex I'm 30 years old what's up I don't want to read it how have you been um I took two shots yeah I can have one as well so Alex and I uh dated for around five years basically and then we broke up two years ago we met during a music festival to zambales back in 2015 I have this gay friend um she was saying so I turned around and it was him we ended up like talking and vibing so yeah history after that we broke up because we grew apart we kind of noticed that uh we haven't seen each other a lot because of the whole pandemic issue and then it kind of opened up holes in the relationship um it didn't end badly it was pretty much amicable but chamber like personally it was a lot of like growing and a lot of crying and basically it was super painful but yeah it was amicable Alex and I have been talking probably this year a lot probably from sending me random memes alone there's no bad blood between us Naman but a lot of unanswered questions I guess because like a lot of people say no you can't be friends with your exes anyway but well I guess we'll see [Music] we tried the food because I'm hungry say three things that you immediately notice that's different about your ex your hair obviously yeah because I see we're trying to grow it out before doesn't even want to go out no I I could never go through that um awkward phase of your hair yeah it'll hit your eyes like when you go outside oh yeah that's a weird bowl cut feel yeah I remember I was annoying you hated that like with a passion another thing I noticed about you actually you basically pretty much the same but I don't know like personality is that a good thing yeah of course I mean before anything but I don't know maybe it's the insides that change but like kind of hurts because I've been working out I guess what I've seen differently about you is like you seem like you lost weight hitting the gym no not really well I mean I started losing weight when it broke up because I didn't eat so much for a month and I lost like 20 pounds and ever since then to not eat a lot that's good so yes blessing in disguise I guess briefly update your ex on what you're up to now I change jobs I work in the brokerage now I have more free time um I have two cats is that one cat still there yeah the one that I adopted first part now pandemic still there um you know I live in a condo now it's been fun like I feel like you know extrovert self-con this year because I know 21. I totally yeah he said I also saw online that you are now uh CEO and not a CEO yeah you're not a child of owner anymore I took over the family business now and um exactly what I thought it was more stressful but I I actually saw that coming of course okay I have a question since this was a discussion one of those discussions now always sweep under the rug what yeah dude you told me at first you didn't want like you wanted to change jobs and do other things what ended up nah you went straight to like managing your own company like in between when you said obviously when you're still talking I was always on the fence on it yeah like to the very end I wanted to change uh change jobs like I want to leave the family business but in a way with the pandemic hit I felt the need to really really go all in on this one just uh help help my mom help the fam like help my dad's Legacy in a sense are you happy with it yeah definitely compared to before my God so stressful probably one of the reasons like we'd have like fights it was probably because of my mood yeah usually it would mostly stem from work anyway have you missed each other um I um friendship thing you know what I gotta I gotta enter up there because like um probably if someone were to ask what was the best thing about our relationship I guess it was more of the how close we were like we were basically best friends you know like we were always hanging out we were at that party phase basically yeah we were super young so I think we were never able to transition properly no I super agree like I love the first part like super best friends it was fun because we didn't start out as really first like we went straight into dating but eventually like towards the end it's more of like we should have addressed those parts in the beginning because we were just having fun all the time like for three years for the whole three years oh definitely we never fought I think that was one of my uh issues I suck with confrontation yeah like I would never like oh it's a big fight yeah I don't want I don't wanna I'm gonna check out right now I'm not I'm not gonna be a part of this me also like if I get moody or something so I hate being in that position yeah let me let me double down on that so I try not to get to that point which ends up like sweeping it under the Raging issues self-aware at least good for you because like I'm not like that like I'm trying I'm trying definitely like I'm trying now but I guess it just shows our uh immaturity at the time yeah but hopefully you end up learning from it that's true [Music] wait I think the first question for you share a memory you have from one of your pizza dates in the past so Pizza Pizza moment before sorry what pizza moment don't feed everything I'm not reading about reading it I'm trying I'm trying to think of a Pizza it's not a pizza moment but pizza was involved I forgot what hotel we were in pero we ordered pizza I remember we had a bottle of I got a bottle of wine okay we don't want to drink and then the bottle of wine I got turned out to be the cork we have a corkscrew yeah we were using a knife yeah open yeah and then what did we asked droplets yeah I like this do you like the whole the pineapple thing on the pizza in one sentence tell each other why your relationship didn't work out oh we know this is easy covet was the trigger yeah I agree with the trigger I feel like even before that we were having problems already definitely definitely I can pinpoint the exact moment it's probably mid 2019. I don't I don't count in the years yeah I just count in like um memories no no it's um year four fine it's like a year it's probably a year four I don't know years three started to go Rocky however year four is where I actually yeah so when the pandemic started like super gets that you have like seniors living with you and like I have family in a PWD and immunocompromise but like yeah it's just more reasons for us not to see each other which eventually led to like being a part I remember like we barely even talk like nothing like the whole day okay so what's up what are you doing okay good night good morning oh my God exact words like wake up it's weird because we know namana both our love languages are like quality time and it's something that we didn't work on so I felt like individually ready to make that effort because during the pandemic it was so much effort to you know have quality time I honestly it was like towards the end of the relationship was triggered by everything like I don't know if the punching my own were like the whole time oh yeah they remember that I was ordering along from the drive through I got the order wrong and then you blew up foreign but yeah basically you didn't see me but my eyes were like rolling my God just from a pizza question I got a list I got a list game go what do you hate about me you're driving I hate you're driving so much I hate you're driving too you're so slow no no I'm safe I am safe you're like Jesus Christ oh my God I hate it you're always late oh Louise late I mean like I'm not gonna say it we tried to train you napara this is what you do if your call time is five you leave at four because usually what are you so it means you have to dress up at like 4 30 and take about at four yeah I hated that I remember like someone like not you like you know where I was but like my friends called me hey where are you I'm EDSA yeah your friends might usually Texas I'm like no he's still at home invited I do know that yeah I do know that oh my God wait wow what did you love most about each other I think I really love that we were the type of couple now we didn't have to like choose between hanging out with friends and hanging out with each other to say each of our friends liked each other and like hanging out and stuff sometimes they would even saying they even said that after he broke off yeah exactly so it was one of the hardest things to deal with the firearm oh no he's not gonna be here anymore and it makes me cry when they asked me stuff like that so yeah I think it's hard to find someone a parang you don't have to be a girlfriend or just a friend you can be both and still get along well so yeah that's what I love about us I guess for me we're always supporting each other I think that was the main one we'd have issues but you'd always try to go for it I guess sometimes it's almost overall it becomes nagging yeah I think that's that's the cool thing about it I remember this part now like when we started dating especially from traffic and I remember you what you used to tell me was like the drive you would tell me no you would tell me in the Park oh it's fine more time together that was so sweet yes I did say that yes oh this is interesting do you think your relationship was beyond savings no we could have saved that I know we definitely gonna save that I remember like a few days after we broke up you messaged me like at 4 a.m what if you don't want to break up like what if you want to try to salvage it I forgot what I replied or what you said afterwards but no I also think it wasn't at all Beyond saving we did try obviously like not hard enough to save it but I think I think the breakup was necessary I'm not saying I agree I think we learned so much just put on the distance like obviously the Heartbreak if you get your heart broken from that like that means the relationship was real that's true like I was always devastated definitely no same also like I think I already said this to you a year before the parallel it's it's weird the fire I'm in this position I'm in a relationship but I kind of want to be alone because I I didn't know who I was while in a relationship like separate from it I mean I know that now that you know I've been single since we broke up it was really super necessary to get to know who you are and it's mostly you change every now and then I think if we stay together a lot of what we decided to do outside of the relationship during that time I think it would have been worse I think that was the main reason uh we ended up not working out because we got too comfortable that's true like it was super easy from the get-go and I think that because of that Indian entice a night to try [Music] how would you have described the love you had it was everything especially for that uh that uh first year I think I placed our relationship in a pedestal yeah you proposed to me also like what times when we were stop lying promise three times why are you lying to me three times when you were when we were drunk no no I mean we were partying a lot to be fair so like all right but I get what you mean if I'm gonna enter into a new serious relationship it has to be more than what I felt like the happiness that I felt when we were together so you're seeing except the bar then yeah I mean didn't I accept the bar of course see I don't know if that's a bad thing or a good thing the parang it's a big shoe to fill in if I don't feel that way it's a next relationship go far in Phoenix it's not gonna it's not gonna end up like forever oh yeah probably me for me it's like one of the things that I am trying to I guess look for is that connection that's similar Vibe obviously it's not going to be easier it is what it is that's fun though for more fun [Music] Jamba Juice was probably one of the biggest reasons we gained weight yeah oh do you know what what my friends used to call us we were the eating couple yeah because like we're always out eating what kind of future would you have if you stayed together this is a tough one you'd probably have a dog right now why see finding it no I wanted the cat I have a cat no we were talking about this we would yeah you said we have a cat a dog a rabbit a hamster yeah do you remember what name we wanted to have the dog something like poop or something yeah still together if everything worked out Noah like if we actually tried to talk about it and not break up because the breakup was like super big like imagine five years together and we broke up over a phone call I mean that given that it's like three hours we'd probably be living together right now yeah I'm feeling good but married what do you think definitely not yeah I thought I wanted to get married early no but more of like I see we were together for a long time now it was like the right age but with like who I am right now I think I wouldn't mid relationship when we still had like we were still we're so cool when would you have wanted uh to get married anytime [ __ ] whoa I think we were young dude when you were drunk proposing to me I said yes I don't remember that you remember this dude you remember this okay would you ever get back together when we go no okay it's never I think we're really like like closed forever I'm not saying that we're gonna get back together soon or whatnot but I think who we are right now individually would be better off like this like we're like our Dynamic right now would be pretty fine we're still technically getting you know to know each other like who we are right now and I think from the get-goomes friends I mean honestly it's kind of weird that we are friends I never thought that I would be friends with an ex do you have any like friends saying oh that's weird they just said I don't know man I've never been friends with an ex I guess if you're on the same page it's fine so I think because all my friends say it's weird no I find it weird also that we're friends like if if like of this situation we should be like what the hell are you guys like getting back together and I wouldn't believe them if they said it was kind of a small issue no I was kind of gonna dig this one girl she said she found out we're still talking I said yeah we're friends we're friends we're friends but if when she heard that it was like a red flag for her yeah it is a red flag it is I guess I guess I guess it is now it's weird how did you find out I said do you know that we still have our Instagram page as a couple and I can't delete it on my password no way really yes if you look at it now you can still see it it has like a thousand go away yeah well me I guess you answered up me it was like whatever we have it's pretty good it's like we needed that breakup for for us for us to move I will not close doors for for that because like we're vibing we're chilling it's fine yeah but currently right now I think it's better no we're not uh like together do you think our friends would believe us no really like the first thing like the first thing I asked him I was nervous at first uh I didn't know what to expect to be honest I thought that we would be in a group setting it's a little bit awkward on my end because like I haven't seen him since he broke up like I still remember the exact moment like when he was getting out of my car but when the uh ball got rolling it got a comfortable now so yeah it was that it was nice catching up it's basically about um reconnecting with a friend obviously there was history but when you talk we would talk like friends catching up on the latest uh shows or like whatever we're into you know I think it helped a lot that we were in the same place I think it would have been like weird if one of us wanted to get back together she grew weird then if any of us were dating anyone seriously when you were able to remember the good times our bonds strengthened I guess because of the whole experience we shared because like that five years we were pressing for five years and stuff like that yeah with everything so it's it's a nice closure and getting back together with an old friend so cool catch up and ask some of the questions that we were able never able to ask and we're able to ask them now uh I guess I'd say we're kind of different people we were able to give a different perspective on on how we are now I guess bucket list so yeah hey you know what it's been fun catching up yeah like I learned a lot like definitely from all of our ups and downs even if there were downs we were able to learn from it the Ops we're able to have good memories from it true no I think there's no one like I would have had fun as much as you during like my early to mid 20s I think we maximize Our Lives that's the perfect report actually probably maximize like the whole experience of being young and being in a relationship not healthy yeah it was it was fun that was
