[Music] [Music] it is John here I'm with my boy Tim from breaking the shell he's walking off and we are we just spent the night in this abandoned ghost town in the Arizona desert mountains about four miles from the Mexico border lies a abandoned mining town now this town was founded in the in the late 1700s to early 1800s I mean the first buildings were built around 1800 this town thrived through the 1800s and into the early nineteen hundreds out of the mining town now once the mines depleted the economy went bad this town basically became deserted because it is so remote we actually drove two hours on a dirt road just to get here and we camped here for the night we did overnight challenge 3 a.m. challenge now we're gonna film all this during the day in this place is crazy you can see the remnants of the old mine there's actually the mine shaft that goes down 900 feet and you'll get to take a peek inside that but a lot of buildings here guys a lot of this town loses left and this is they say is the most well-preserved ghost town in Arizona and it is completely deserted there is a caretaker that's here a few days out of the week it stays in a camper but other than that it is completely deserted no residents nothing and we're gonna give it to you firsthand guys follow us now we stayed here last night we are the only people here there was such an eerie feeling to be the only people in an entire town and today we're still the only people here people do come by and visit locals that know about it and there's a phenomenon it happens here that's pretty amazing you know it doesn't happen this time of year cuz the bats have migrated south but there are over 300,000 bats that live in the mind and every night they all fly out and they say about three thousand bats per minute fly out for about 50 minutes and that I would love to come back just to see that and film that that would be amazing so maybe in the future yes but other than that let's take a look at the ruins around here this whole exterior wall is gone see what's in here these are all pumps barrels full of rock and sand nice about a store or restaurant does get these wash snakes in here you got a shower look at these remains of the old mining operation here some discarded tires and barrels down here it's like a wasteland it's just a wasteland out here that is nasty looking sludge no that is grace these look so different during the day I mean we filmed these it not let's take a peek inside here this is gonna tack my birds in these houses she's not much left now this was the suicide house where the may had committed suicide after murdering another husband and wives still has a creepy eerie feeling in here even during the day so strange that bad though some windows this big so creepy walk out here now this area right here we thought was a shaft cuz this dark team stepped on it fell through right there scare me to death it's not a shaft obviously it just goes right down here know what this was used for but looks like it's kind of popping sitting up out of the ground there smoke mining equipment here now here's the jail now they built this jail for $600 they needed it because the prisoners they had before they just chain them to the mesquite trees overnight if they were drunk they would actually chain the prisoner to the mesquite trees out here in Louisville that's kind of funny I think for some reason though I was attacked by a bird in here last night but we can't go farther than the door they use it for storage I guess but that's the cell where they would hold the prisoners out there but pretty good sale for 600 for 600 bucks can't really beat it you know what this was please comment down below so obviously look like it might have been in a crawlspace of the house alright guys I know it's the daytime exploration but once you keep your ears on and your eyes open because things happen in the day - I'm not actively trying to investigate anything but if you hear or see anything please comment down below and let us know thank you okay this is something cool this was the basketball court there's the goal there's the other goal it looks like it would have been regulation size but just outdoors reminds me of my mom's school was her court was outside they played basketball outside school ball so that was always kind of cool this would have been the lunchroom there probably was a lot more picnic tables out here but it's really cool to see that they're still one there under that tree this was their toilets I actually had it's like porcelain toilets in here and they just dropped straight down to the ground somebody's come in busted this one up this is where they went to the bathroom something's built a big nest in here you can see well you think I should I try going down the slide I mean I can't get over how tall this slide was this is dangerous I mean this is like 20 foot tall I mean really see the original color of the wood behind where the chalkboard used to be look where it's been paying it over you know still got the old feeding stove here you can see the structure that back corner is not doing very well this room still has the old blackboard on it peoples come in over time with chalk and wrote their messages on here so many people have been in here yes please books now Reader's Digest 1968 there just go for this room just creepy in here there's a teacher said how nice not live is there my 3 a.m. challenge this where I heard this piano strike a key and I was the only one into school you got one of them keys so creepy they say kids have died in here hope some kind of sickness but I'm not exactly sure what I feel really much in these little closets here that's the old lockers here and then D wood lockers ok guys now what I want to tell you is you can visit this town you know the town of Ruby Arizona you can visit it not very many people come here but there is a caretaker who comes here four days out of the week Thursday through Sunday and you're allowed to come in and visit he does take donations but and you can camp here if you choose so but I'm gonna leave these here so if you decide you want to come get some I'm gonna hide these here for you you come fine I'm gonna show you right where I'm gonna put them put them in the teacher's desk some will have next to the rat let's not go with the rat turds let's move them somewhere else those rat turds or I'll stick them over here there's no wind in here I will move this book over no I'll set them right here just to weigh them down what's it that book on the corner coming here it's for exploration of those stickers you're welcome to come get them if you want if you do please tag me on social media or YouTube and let me know that you came and got them I'd love to see that that'd be awesome if you did but I'm leaving him here for you because I encourage all of you guys to get out explore do something fun this is a town that you can come more people should come here because this is the most well-preserved tail-end ghost town in Arizona if not the whole entire nation it's untouched by vandals which is amazing because it's so remote it is so far out and you're not going to sell signal so come out and do that come out and check it out grab you some stickers and enjoy this was their mining offices here here that's done dangerous conditions one of what kind of dangerous conditions no Tim just walked across the field in mineshaft it goes down over 900 feet if you want down this leaning tower they have strapped to wire into a tree to keep it from falling over this is crazy I had a freaking hot tub hmm it's weird there's a hot tub just up here at this mine pays for the miners I guess I don't know there's remnants who this entire engine just sitting here [Applause] it's a big motor say where I come from something like this was sitting out here for as long as this has been it would be gone by now cuz all the weather it's so dry here that this stuff just stays preserved for I mean it's been abandoned since the 30s since the depression it's absolutely crazy now I'm sure some squatters have been here and added to this but Wow alright guys here is the over 900 foot deep mine shaft it's harder to see now than it was last night with the light on you just smell the dirt coming from down there it's so deep miles and miles and miles of tunnels under there there's the pulleys and conveyor that would have controlled the elevator not would--but that's the where they control the elevator from all right Tim go throw another rock down there I'm kind of craving let's do it okay Tim's got his specimen paid him alright ready listen for the sound do you hear the sound of the rock as it went yeah yo do it again Kim's got rock number 2 which is the old mud brick test number 2 guys let's do it Wow I can't get over that I could do that all day yeah we could fill this cave up with that okay guys this has been a ton of fun big shout out to Tim from breaking the shell this trip would not be the same without him we've had so much fun and this town has been kind of the head of the whole thing and so glad I got to come here and do this I appreciate you guys watching don't forget to Like share subscribe check out breaking the shells channel I will link it down below we did tons of videos here tons of filming and I
