what's up guys we're trolling today just letting lions out no fish on what's going on sizzle today what are we doing today we are trolling like you just said we got a bunch of lines out been out here for about an hour as the sun rose beautiful morning flat calm beautiful conditions and we're in our home waters today out of boynton beach yes yesterday we got luck and i'm lucky we're very skilled fishing we've got oahu had a great day on mahi yes and there's been a bunch of mahi around for the last several days so we decided uh to come out here and do that again because we love to catch mahi and you gotta you gotta target what is biting and what's around yes exactly so and we want to congratulate you try to bring your pop gino yeah they caught 100 pound wahoo yes 101 pounder everyone's catching them so we're out here right now let's do it i drive and he clears lines we might stick here soon because it's a lot of weed yeah there's something on here there's something on there yeah i mean that could be weed it's not really pulling too hard it could be bonita all right let's see what we got on we may or may not have a fish moves in here go faster we good now we're good you got something i do cool on my strip looks like we can reuse it which is good pretty bonita got plenty of anita for bait lately there's plenty of those guys around it's a time of year for him but we gotta catch something so we start the day with the bonita all right slow down a little hang on okay let's slow down get your drags lesson all right guys we got a fish on pretty confident got our planer just popped and brian was driving and i just jumped into the driver's seat here do you want a reel you want you want me to sure all right we're gonna switch i'm gonna switch i caught a fish yesterday i saw it splash on the surface it's probably i don't know it's not that big it might be a bonita but we're just gonna pretend bring it in to bring it like a good fish exactly all right brian's taking the planer off which we got a bridal on so all we got to do is just disconnect the loops which he's doing right now keep the line tight the reel don't let it ever go slack and now i got 100 liter to go yeah the beautiful bonita big one yeah got him don't break it off not good oh that's a big one yeah that's like the one i'm broke before all right that was a perfect way to practice for a big fish like a beautiful wahoo we did that perfect so you always gotta treat every fish like it's an epic fish yeah i usually bonita when it bites it's not going to make like a splash on the surface a wahoo does that so made a little splash on the surface so it's going to be cautious i it could have been what we call a weho it's like a five pounder so big bonita nice let's get some more fish come on you got it you're right you're on all right got a fish on slow down come here bonito still running brian all right all right guys hooked up on the next fish this took quite a bit of a run so we're gonna see what it is i'm excited though you never know when it comes to fishing speed me back up good good this fish is going fast i put it down in a low blow gear but i just took it out of low gear because this fish is swimming fast which makes me think something good i'm not gonna say the word though just keep get in line keep that boat in gear and i could tell when that fish was swimming too fast that's why i told ryan speed up the boat just want to keep it tight at all times ryan's taking the weight off okay i just backed up on the drag a little bit as this fish gets closer to the boat just in case he wants to do a crazy run and he sees the boat we don't want to break them off or pop the hook out or anything like that let's just take our time here we're getting the gaff ready and we're just bananing towards the fish so we keep them on this side of the boat that's where we want them it's how you control big fish it's going to be a big fish huh this better be a big fish feels good look at that look at the head shakes all right all right reel ryan i can't he's running you're going into the current now all right last few cranks here no color yet better bonita i don't know it is head shaking violently head shakes get them right [Laughter] [Music] yes right in the kingfish zone bonita's own fish is in the boat that is a stun that's what i'm talking about oahu yesterday caught oahu today everybody's eating wahoo i'm pumped ooh that adrenaline was just running and i felt those massive head shakes i knew it was a wahoo the whole time i knew it didn't want to call it though because i don't want to jinx things like this so we had two bonita strips out okay and we were literally in a hundred feet of water when this fish ate this okay uh right on a clear edge green to blue edge we got another fish on long line but he ate the blue and white islander with the bonita strip this time we usually catch our wahoo on the sea witch but he was hooked good he wasn't going anywhere beautiful fish double hook rig you see you just crushed that there we go flip them over all right let's get the hook out take a couple of nice pictures with this beautiful fish and let's get some more minor maker's about to begin checking on the fish angler app all right guys i'll give you a quick tackle time on exactly how i rigged these baits and catches wahoo so here we go all right guys here's the rig double hook rig i just get these when i have a double hook valley here or a double hook um mullet and i keep these and this is 60 pound mono right here six front fluoro i got a little piece of uh copper i'm gonna take these that darcy already made lost my knife smith scissors and knives cut this open get these vacuum sealed take it out there we go all right i'm gonna take my smith's knife and put a little hole here boom that's for my copper to go through i take this and i'm not sure how much it matters but i take my copper i put it through the non-shiny side you see that boom boom just rest it up against there and then i pinch right here and then we wrap that littler just broke off so you gotta have some spares i got a spare right here it's awful short says i need another piece of copper this thing is terrible okay all right i decided to replace that copper darcy got me another piece just so i guess now i can show you how i put the copper on just wrap it around here twist it on just below the hook the eye you see that then i'm gonna bring that through the eye just so it sticks out like that nice and straight and now i can take my piece that i just broke off before again stick it through the non-shiny side bring it down you see like that i pinch here i wrap i wrap i wrap i wrap you don't need a ton of wire here this is a little long i mean otherwise just be wrapping unwrapping too much i'll cut that off all right so now i got these two rig hooks boom i hold here measure where it's going to come through right about there boom pull it on same thing measure right about there boom push it through all right look at that see this comes here now this is exactly what i called it on oh got this little piece on here still that's gone but this is exactly what i caught it on all right now i'm going to show you how to put these we use the planer i caught that on the other side but i'll show you how to use the planer here we go let's do it let's go i'm going to go to the north and turn around all right pull it out a little bit sizzle all right on this side i got my pink sea witch you can see the same exact thing it just is the sea witch okay i got about a hundred foot leader are you ready to let it out the sizzle yes all right so i'm letting it out i'm letting it out here it's going out like 100 feet now i got a bridle for my planer you see it coming through it's a wind-down bridle where's my planer i always lose the planer it's right here here's my planer i got long line clips on each end okay this one goes first this plane has worked like this if you guys never saw him when it drags into the water like it goes like this then you you set it and it goes like this so it goes down it's going down and then when the fish gets it goes like this and comes up all right so we're gonna put this one first go over here grab my loop boom it's on catching my shirt a lot pull this up on this clip boom it's on okay now it's in now i'm gonna let it out some more i like to keep it at a 45 degree angle it's going to creep it's not sometimes you can set it just like this oh like today i worked all right usually it doesn't alright so there you go put a clicker on set the drag so it's not coming out if it's creeping it's catching so keeping once in a while especially down c or whatever is fine that's how we catch most of the wahoo explain the speed because everyone's going to ask you how fast we're going that's a goofing question i'm sorry a little bit of jest but you're going the speed which you or your lures are running correctly okay you want to run you kind of want to run lures you know they'll travel at the same speeds and maybe depending on the species you want to speed up or slow down but unless you have esp or your duck to do little i don't know how fish to i don't know how fast the fish want you to go you know some fish are faster than others like wahoo might be faster all right but again it depends on the baits we're pulling uh strips uh which is really you can pull those pretty fast okay and uh you know but if you have a naked ballyhoo out there you know you're gonna be pulling dead bait slower than that okay or if you have a dredge or something all right so whatever your lures can handle and they look whatever makes them look the best that's what you're doing and last but not least your speed will also depend if you're going into the current or out of the current so for example i'm going like seven knots into the current today and then when i turn around and go with the current i'm going 9 10 knots so you really just can't ask that question because it varies from place to place where you live yeah one other thing on that is you know i don't know how rough it is if it's rough as heck your lures and your baits are gonna be jumping all over the place like so you gotta slow down if it's calm you're gonna run fast and your chargers will just plug right along you know so yeah so my stuff depends like i can tell you four knots or seven knots it it just doesn't matter depends absolutely it's like you know but you know really generally i mean if you're live bait you know bump trolling live bait i mean you're going under two if you're regular trolling with dead bait you know you're doing four or five or six if you're trolling just lures with just lures you can go 20 if you want you know and and that might be what you do when you want to you know cover some more ground so it's just everything to trade yeah like we were trolling yesterday and i was going a slightly different speed than i'm going today so we were we had waves and i was bouncing so anyhow long story short is whatever makes your lures look pretty in the water there you go yeah it's all about bait presentation you're presenting debates the best right that's six or seven or eight or four or five i have no idea okay there you go a little life advice good job love you all right guys what's up we are back at the house and i'm going to show you my cooler here my 165 quart that is full of fish right now but before i do that check out our brand new 2018 f-250 super duty diesel truck we're very happy and excited about it because our f-150 was getting run to the ground and at the time when we purchased the f-150 we were not towing consistently like we are now so this is brian's new truck we're pretty happy and i of course tow the boat on the way home so both of us do the work but anyhow back to the cooler let's get it open and in here it'll show you just a little bit of my process and how i store fish because like for instance this week i fished four out of five days so a lot of those days i don't have time to clean the fish at the end of the day so in order to keep the fish nice and fresh and cool which i will show you right now i have these hard packs in here that help keep the ice i take these out and then i will pack the fish in here with basically a layer of ice on the bottom you can do a slurry as well a lot of people like a saltwater slurry i don't live in neo salt water and don't have access to salt water all the time so this works best for me so again a layer of ice on the bottom put the fish in the middle but try to stack them vertically these guys kind of turn on their side but i like to put them straight up and down so that way their innards and their guts stay down with gravity and then pack another layer of ice on top of them and that's how a lot of my fish if you've seen been watching my videos and paying attention you'll know that a lot of my fish are like solid frozen they're like a fish popsicle so here we go here's the wahoo we caught beautiful fish and we're gonna pull him out and then the very next day we caught all of these fish that are in here so we got a beautiful almaco jack we've got some vermilion snapper some silk snapper and you guys are going to be seeing that video of course right after this episode will be uploaded next giant almoco and then there's a huge kingfish in there which is a little sneak peek for tomorrow's or the next video you see his head right there huge fish all right let's get them back in here don't want to keep this cooler open for too long try not to open your cooler very much so you keep the ice and the cool air in there and you don't melt it down as quick but i had to open it anyways and get the wahoo out and i wanted to show you guys all right let's get that closed now let's head over to the filet table and filet this beautiful sushi fish i did not get an official weight on this on this wahoo but it seems like he's going to be probably high teens i would say 17 18 pounds that's wahoo is so nice fish let's dive right into it of course i got my two knives my seven in my nine gonna select the nine to fillet this beautiful fish and we're gonna check out how delicious this meat looks but with wahoo they are one of the best out there and one of my favorite fish to catch as well it's just the general adrenaline unless you get from oahu is just absolutely amazing amazing and we're just going to run this blade all the way down the back of this fish and then i'm going to kind of break them up into sections so that way he's a little easier to handle go through the tail cut that out and then we're just going to do nice long slabs or strokes here follow that backbone there's a lot of flex in this blade here too you can see why i like it so much i can really flex that blade and just get it nice and tight and as close to those bones as possible and just really feeling with the blade that's how you do this practice makes perfect of course all right wow this me is looking amazing so excited to have fresh sushi you guys know that we caught that other wahoo in the last video so now we got more wahoo that wadhu was already gone by the way we gave that to our friends and our family and we ate it but now we got more fresh wahoo and i'm excited for what puddin is gonna cook for us in the kitchen we're gonna do something a little different than just plain old sushi with rice all right slab that bad boy off there you go just like that look at that piece of meat it's no joke get this guy out of the way all right so that is the beautiful sushi meat that is the gaff hole right there not the end of the world i know you guys are gonna complain about meat lost and all this stuff but you know what the fish is in the boat that's what matters to us whatever it takes there's a lot of people who gaff fish wherever they need to get fish in order to get them in the boat okay no big deal so we could just cut that meat out not a not the end of the world and then what i'll do with this fish in order to skin them i'm not going to skin them all the way down like that that's just it's really hard they have a super thin thin skin so what i'd like to do is just break it up into sections and that'll make it way easier for me to skin this fish and i'll show you exactly what i mean in just a second and then by the way these fishhook and anchor braces i'm wearing particularly my sterling silver necklace i have a wide variety of awesome saltwater species are sterling silver saltwater species available in my website darcizzleoffshore.com that i hand make myself so if you're interested in getting a fancy whatever it is this is sailfish i've got conch largemouth bass pompano snook um you name it most of it's there so please check that out if you're interested and be really happy if you want to go ahead and support me and my channel and like i said i may hand make all of them i also have sterling silver fish hooks okay so now i'm going to show you exactly what i mean here we got our pieces and right down the middle you can actually see right here there's a blood line we did bleed this fish a little bit look at it glistening it's so pretty but so there's a bloodline so what we can do here is just follow that bloodline down i'm gonna use that same nine inch knife and then turn your knife down and just slap that off okay just like that and now you got a wahoo steak and then i get of course when i stick them out i stake them to the thickness that they are so i got one nice thick uh slab here the next thickness down here and then the same on this side i use the gap the one with the gaff hole for the example but that's okay so then you just knock it out just like that and what you have left is just the pin bones in the blood line right in the middle no waist okay and then for here that's just gonna be cut out we can give this to our dogs or our cats i'm honestly just going to throw this in the fresh water canal behind my house and feed the fish so nothing goes to waste then here's another example take this big piece go right down you can see i'm not going going right down the middle of that bloodline i'm just going just off to the edge of it turn in the knife and of course you need a sharp knife to do this boom there he is another beautiful wahoo steak okay and that's how you'll do it on big wahoo also big kingfish that'll work too but with king fish you kind of want to keep their skin on you can keep the skin on oahu as well if you're going to go ahead and smoke it we are not so that is going to how i'm going to finish it up all right guys so i'm going to go ahead and finish up this beautiful wahoo and then meet you guys in the house for the cooking with pudding portion of this video another great job fellaini wahoo dar sizzle as usual welcome guys to another edition of cookin with puddin poke bowl wahoo edition it's gonna be delicious i can't wait we haven't done this in a while but i did want to say that we destroyed the fish this week we went fishing four days in a row you guys got to go fishing four days in a row and try it out we felt like we were indestructible at the end because you're there every day seeing what's going on in the ocean it just gets really great but anyways first day we caught our fish first day we caught no fish that's right but after that we got everything figured out and we started nailing those fish wahoos one day after the other everything else so that was awesome had a great week and we got another video for you from this week but uh back to the pokeball all right i love pokeballs because you can pick your own stuff and really make just almost whatever you want you know uh so we started off you can see i have some b-roll here for you i got this beautiful piece of wahoo about a one pound piece of wahoo for darcy and i and of course i got uh smith's beautiful uh stag handle knives i know we always use the fillet knives but guys don't forget darcy's code sizzle 15 and they have a ton of stuff for the kitchen they got this electric sharpener i used i don't even know where the heck it is right now and they got camping stuff pocket knives all that kind of great stuff okay so cut you cut the meat up and you want to do it just in equal size pieces it doesn't matter how big you want just so they're equal okay and then uh you're gonna cover them with the uh fondue fondue how do i spell that sizzle ponzu sauce and then you can put in some scallions and some seeds in there and we put that uh after you got that all mixed together nice took it out uh we took it off the counter and put it in the refrigerator for about an hour okay and you don't want to put it in there too long because that ponzu will cook the meat after that there's time for pudding to get cutting i cut up a million things all right and uh from uh cucumbers and scallions like i mentioned to avocados and peppers and pears but we're gonna dive right into it i'm gonna make my bowl come on over here let's just show them what we got so excuse me so first thing i got my beer here and i got we're doing brown rice we put that we did that in the cooker that's the base that's the base as darcy likes to say darcy's very big on these uh i'm doing it right unlike me so i'm just gonna pick some things i like i like these i like cucumbers so i put some of those on there and we had some mangroves these aren't from my tree which is mangoes mangroves the mangrove is a snapper mangrove this is mango and what's cool i love these i love i love putting a lot of brussels sprouts in there alfalfa sprouts brussels not just these alfalfa sprouts it's a good thing i have the sizzle now what i'm going to do oh actually i'm going to put on this is sriracha sauce you can put that on after the fish she likes me to put on after the fish but i'm doing it myself right now i want to put some a little layer of it just like like this right there okay now i'm going to put on my fish this is the way pudding likes to do it okay you guys can do whatever you want so i can darcy so look at this put it right in the middle i actually made this a little bit smaller than the b-roll showed just so it'd be more you know more fit in your mouth a little better and and one the key to taste guys a lot of fish bro one key to taste is is how thin things are so if you have a sandwich in the deli and you know i'm a deli boy the thinner that mice is the thinner that meat is it's more surface area that gives you more taste all right and then we're gonna do some i got some pine nuts even there's so much stuff on here guys look at this there's gonna be a potpourri and oh and the sesame seeds darcy loves the sesame seeds oh this really looks good look at this sizzle i'm doing a good job and then for the topping darce went out and got these out of her own garden what are these cilantro cilantro a little just a little dark garnish look at that kids does that look delicious now if you're fancy and from new york like me you'd have your own chopsticks we're gonna go to the table and we're gonna enjoy my pokeball and see how darcy likes it see you in a second so excited all right oh this is the second time we've ever treated ourselves to a pokeball and it's only when we are making videos for you guys so we need to do it more often treat ourselves to some delicious meals we're not cooking for you guys i just eat crap no we honestly just like that the wahoo we'll just eat raw for a couple days and then after that we just end up giving most of it away and then the rest will just like pansier and make it easy because a lot of nights were tired feeding a whole neighborhood this is a great healthy meal i love it every single day so good the bomb we did this with blue runner this is a big upgrade big success hit the spot do your poke bowl however you want it with whatever ingredients that's the best part of it yeah it's whatever your heart and desires but amazing out of this world thank you so much putin for making an awesome meal i know that wahoo and again we have some awesome content coming for you guys real soon thank you so much for watching as always we appreciate each and every one of you we're gonna go ahead and wrap it up so until our next episode follow your dream and keep on catching i know i don't have a beer
