well we have a chase last at least 15 seconds here they've all been quick he's off the chaser's plate and wants to make an aerial attack out of things will he dive through the loading bay oh what an explosive move from amlo hurting his evader right to where he wanted they're right in the corner eyes them upstairs and goes for that leaping tag chase six team empire evading zero all athletes ready [Applause] amelo put points on the board in the first matchup for team empire as they emerged amlo wants to go a baseball slide into the mountain old sean claims the tag on the outside certainly thought he had it but nobody else did he's got to keep going as amblo is halfway through this chase they turn around the corner again this time old shine tries to go up top down low didn't work as well they're 17 seconds oh we're definitely gonna get a dtr he does not like what he saw out there mine is definitely calling it he got that tag on his shoe amlo doesn't think he did but we're gonna go to a dtr the winner of the dtr though is going to be an advantage because whoever it is whether it's amblo who stays on or olshan who then becomes the evader they've got certainly extra time here to rest after the dtr and a lot at stake here as well as it could be the first point for team empire and it looks like fernando we may have a decision this is a very very extended review and it's giving a lot of time for our players to breathe and catch breath it's an evasion so point for amblo he's gonna stay on and he's also gonna be well rested chase seven team empire evading 1-0 team empire athletes ready [Music] amlo breathes easier he's ready to go from underneath the mountain over toward the tilted cube a vault up on top of the sisters around the front line inviting the chase from zhang it's a long turn at the corner as they hit the 10-second mark kong up to the top of the sisters time is short here five seconds now can hamblo get away he's got half the quad in front of him and amble has done it for two in a row remarkable wow seth doing an absolute phenomenal try at getting that tag but just about 15 seconds ago to lose some gas gives up but totally could have had that tag had he kept moving chase eight team empire evading 2-0 team empire can jacob blake slow down nick amblo who hardly looks exhausted after he's gone a full 20 seconds on the last one and he's eliminated in the blink of an eye what went wrong taking that obvious mistake going through the tilted cube to the right as opposed to the left there's a big opening right there for the chaser to just reach out and just get that tag easy peasy win skeezy chase nine freedom in motion evading 2-0 team empire jacob blake needs to get freedom in motion on the board and he takes the slow avenue of pursuit to start over the front line and now climb up the mountain and that was a bad choice for jacob blake had he gone under the speed certainly would have played well for him chase 10 team empire evading 2-0 team [Music] team empire as they lead two nothing glover begins at the ridge and welcomes reinhardt two in a row going to the top of the mountain bad choices chase 11 freedom in motion evading 2-0 team empire athletes ready [Music] can freedom in motion get on the board so far it's been all team empire reinhardt again perhaps getting a little bit cocky is it deserved though a climb through by small as he goes to the ground reversal of course reinhardt to the ridge who's got the advantage here seemingly neutral and a quick close by small he pounced with time winding down just a second and a half to go chase 12 team empire evading 2-0 kareem smaller the top of the mountain now down the mountain anybody who's been up on that side of the mountain has certainly been in trouble to the sisters do they provide some security the answer is no door wide open and there's still opportunity for freedom in motion chase 13. freedom in motion evading 2-0 team empire athletes ready still yet to get on the board jonathan gordon with a jaunty leap he goes for the tag flips himself through sacrificing his body that may hurt a little bit but he's got to keep going only midway through this chase up to the top of the ridge trying to dive through the loading bay comes up short again out of the ridge in the front line this will be it for him just three seconds to go he's got to make a last-ditch effort at it and he's too late wow so many interactions i swore i saw two tags there but my eyes deceived me oh that was amazing that was a credible evasion chase 14 freedom in motion evading 2-1 team athletes ready serge moffatt the captain for team empire and he can put them in the driver's seat here quick reflexes and a fake as he went to the top of the tilted cube what a genius move from surge brilliant fake getting your hands and feet on the railing acting like you're going to go over and through the tilted cube but instead juke back and go right on the mountain for that easy tag under six seconds chase 15 team empire evading match point team empire athletes ready over toward the chaser's plate and dances back behind the tilted cube he goes under the mountain nearly gets stuck there and almost gets tagged to the loading bay he's got plenty of space now midway through this chase over at the lazy boy across the front line a tag there and it's called [Applause] chase 16 freedom in motion evading [Applause] a tag here from christopher glover and the match is over it belongs to team empire and an evasion would send this to a sudden death for freedom and motion as they trailed most of the match [Applause] a leap to the top of the sisters the pursuit continues the gap has been sizable glover closes it down at the front line with just five seconds to spare makes the tag team empire moving on seven teams decided of the final eight one more will emerge for action today it'll be either no cap or olo for the right to take on hollywood free runners on friday

Pre-match Prediction: Freedom in Motion 2-0. I liked how Freedom looked in the first round while I don't think Empire got that much better from their previous form.

• Chase 6/7 (Maayan vs. Nick, Seth vs. Nick): I actually think Maayan got the tag here but credit to how fast and skilled Nick was navigating the Quad. Compare that to Seth who seemed to get tripped up on the Sisters along with other areas.

• Chase 13 (Gordo vs. Isaac): Something was strange with Gordo's movement here. I swear he was more agile in the previous event and here, he chose a lot of dives or movements that simply aren't high probability decisions. The arm reach out of the Loading Bay just seems lazy as he isn't even close to touching Isaac. In general, he seemed a bit off balance and it felt like a pretty simple evasion for Isaac.

• Chase 14 (Surge vs. Isaac): Great fake by Surge. Against a more patient/experienced evader, that move might not be as reliable but he got Isaac to bite early and although Isaac isn't necessarily slow QMing through the Mountain, Surge had great agility to close that distance and secure the tag.

• Chase 16 (Falco vs. Maayan): Again, experience or lack thereof showing here. Maayan was doing a great job of outpacing Falco although he was exiting out of some obstacles a second too early IMO. When he finally gets back to the Loading Bay, Falco is already angling for the Ridge cut off. Maayan needs to force Falco to commit into the Loading Bay before breaking here. Instead, he gets antsy and chooses to leave early, allowing Falco to get a great angle. The only way Maayan escapes here is if he perfectly accelerates after ducking under the Ridge and that doesn't happen. Falco closes it out with a slide.

Nick's been performing really well as a new member. I don't think this team is that competitive with the top tier but they've won two matches thus far and you never know what happens in a single set of 16.
