WATCH: Republican Lawmakers Trash Biden's First State Of The Union

all right guys well it's congresswoman pat cam back here and we just finished the state of the union the very first one for the bible administration and i like to say that really it was more of a state of the swamp but details so as promised want to give you some reactions uh i'll tell you right now that there's still a lot of craziness happening in fact i'm going to turn the camera around so you guys can see what's going on all of the security is still in place here is our capital that is our capital that's not nancy's and over there you they have the beast you can kind of see it right there anyways and across that is the library of congress so i know several of you did not watch it i totally get it i understand why um but that's what you guys pay me to go to things like this and well not all not all that i could but you know i don't even know where to begin because that speech was the most divorced from reality speech that i have ever heard incredibly frustrating to sit there and listen to biden drone on conveniently omitting details talking about things that he truly does not believe and that his policies are in direct conflict with see the state of the union is a time when the president is supposed to recap his previous year highlight and tout their accomplishments as well as lay a vision out for the next year this should have been the shortest speech in american history truly it should have been the shortest speech because there are no accomplishments to attack to tout and the vision ahead well quite frankly under this administration it looks bleak and so if he were to be honest i would have expected more of an apology but instead what we got was a lot of motivating see um messaged pull-tested questions that have been floating around for the last couple of days that's what made it in the speech because they would never send anything that doesn't pull well but instead like i said what we got was a carefully curated pull tested focus group speech actually the beast is leaving right now if you guys want to see check check this out so there goes the beast a limo departing from capitol hill see how they have multiples of them multiple presidential homes so once again freezing my tail off my fingers are absolutely frigid but quick highlights quick and dirty he talked about infrastructure conveniently omitting the fact that the infrastructure bill is only nine percent actual infrastructure he laid out a vision for a grand highway network that will be completely um updated and and new bridges conveniently omitting the fact that within his own prize infrastructure bill there is no allowance for additional land capacity in fact it is specifically prohibited no additional land capacity is allowed so he wants to rebuild our entire highway network but you can't add a lane can't add a lane but those are details facts he doesn't want facts to get in the way of their agenda because really at the end of the day their agenda is about dependency and control take for example he talked about price controls but they didn't say price controls they said we want to lower the cost of prescription drugs who doesn't want to do that but you don't do that by having the government fix the prices you do that through innovation through research and development competition in the marketplace that's what truly lowers it not some artificial government price control because once you fix it through a government program what ends up happening is all that innovation dries up so you find less cures you find less opportunity less research and development this is economics and 101 this is incentives this is how people and economies and the world works right he talked about police and actually said at one point that the answer is not to defund the police which of course my colleagues and i we were shocked we stood up we clapped aoc was sitting behind me up in the gallery and i just couldn't resist the opportunity to turn around and see her reaction to her president talking about supporting police even though we know that that's just words that he doesn't actually mean it because if he did he wouldn't be doing what he's doing and having an open border crisis he wouldn't be allowing narcotics to pour into our communities he wouldn't be taking money away from community programs that actually help them hire and train and recruit law enforcement they wouldn't be taking the very vest off my husband's back as it is written in their current defund police but anyways i turn around and lo and behold this aoc was not pleased she sat in her seat with her arms crossed she didn't like that let's see what else happened there were so many things you know what i made nose throughout the speech i'm sorry i have to do this look at my notes but um oh my gosh yeah talked about the global minimum tax corporate tax rate you know that's a disaster um he wants he wants to uh lift up quote unquote lift up the middle class and talks about knowing about the middle class this is a 40-year swamp creature joe biden forgot about the middle class a long time ago he has never ever been a part of the middle class and has no idea what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck and if he did he would certainly stop spending nearly nine trillion dollars in a single year because we all know everyday americans like us we know that the more that the government spends the less we get to keep in our pockets and for so many of us trying to figure out at the end of the month do we pay for gas or do we pay for groceries because the price of goods and services has gone through the roof because of joe biden's weakness and lack of leadership we now are paying for it at every turn be it at the southern border be it at the americans be it watching americans get left behind in afghanistan be it at the gas pump be it in our communities where we're seeing an opioid crisis rage out of control which again that was ignored we're paying for it we're paying for the disastrous policies of joe biden and his cronies and this is why it is so important that we come together not as republicans versus democrats but as americans this is what we have to do because this is our house this this is our house this isn't joe biden's house this isn't nancy pelosi's house this is our house i feel like i need to go like run on a treadmill because i have so much anger and rage built up in me after that speech just i totally divorced from reality speech and that's just been really really frustrating um no talk about inflation um no talk about actually um bringing the cost of goods and services down by stopping all their social justice warrior programs um but this is interesting there was a line in here that he said covet has impacted and dictated our lives for the last two years no joe you have you have not kovid you have because we all have a choice in how we react to things right kovid's no exception we have a choice we have a choice to react how we are going to deal with covid and his reaction his answer was to shut our economy down shutter small businesses force mandates down americans throats mask our kids keep our kids out of school and destroy our economy ruin families and ruin lives that is what he chose to do and now he's taking a victory lap because suddenly we don't have to wear masks this is the biggest game of political theater i've ever seen and i know that you aren't buying it just like i'm not behind so we've got a lot of work to do let this fuel you i know so many of you did not watch the speech tonight and i again i understand why but please do not let this discourage you let it motivate you because as you've heard me say before americans we're ready we're scrappy it's in our blood it's in our dna and biden he talked about this a little bit but it again just speaks to where his heart and his mind is at he alluded to the fact that americans never back down from a challenge that we thrive in a challenging environment because our challenges create opportunities which made me think he doesn't actually believe that what he is doing is he's trying to say that trump did so well left him such a good economy left him so many opportunities that he had to go out and create some challenges so that he could turn around and say that he fixed him the only problem is he's the little kid that took the tv or the toaster apart and can't figure out how to put it back together that is the state of joe biden and the swamp today they actually think that we believe them when they tell us that they're the only people that can get us out of this mess yet they're the 30 40 35 year career politicians the very swamp creatures who created this mess and they actually expect us to believe that we are going to elect them for another term to fix the mess that they made they're out of their mind but we're going to fix that we're going to fix that because come november is going to be a red wave like no one's ever seen and we are going to take back this house y'all take care god bless let's go get them good evening oklahomans i'm just coming back from the house listening to the state of the union from president biden it was a terrible example of how we were going to come out strong and show the rest of the world that we can be leaders during this time of disaster it should be called the state of the union as a disaster which should have been the headline of speech a speech that sound like it was written by bernie sanders there were a couple of areas in the speech that it sounded like actually president trump wrote it when he talked about that we needed to fund the police not defund the police and you had democrats standing up applauding when they're the ones that's been defunding the police that's why crime is at an all-time high around america he also said we needed to build the border wall i guess joe biden forgot that he was the one that stopped the wall wasting two and a half billion dollars of taxpayer money he talked about how he was going to shore up the energy needs in europe so it wouldn't depend on russia all the while he's forgetting that we're importing 600 000 barrels a day into the united states and sending a check every day to russia for 60 million dollars a day essentially funding the war that putin has waged on ukraine literally killing thousands of ukrainians this president has no idea what leadership really looks like he talked about the businesses in america were gouging the american people that we needed to get people back to work but he doesn't even realize that the policies that he's put in place with his socialist democrat friends are actually and have been encouraging workers to stay at home friends we need real leadership we need to return to the position that america is the greatest economy in the world that we're a net exporter of our energy our oil and gas from oklahoma from texas from the midwest the cleanest burning energy in the world so that germany romania poland and so many other nato countries are not dependent upon russia russia has made so many billions of dollars from our allies when we could have been the suppliers of that and now we're seeing what happens when you have poor leadership friends i'm going to continue pushing this president every single day fighting him back against his crazy policies and the democrats crazy policies they put forward we need fighters in congress i'll be fighting for you thank you and god bless you tonight we heard joe biden try to rewrite history but families in indiana across the country know the truth all of us are paying the price for joe biden's radical agenda and one party rule in washington here's the real state of the union gas prices are on the rise inflation is spiraling out of control our southern border is open to cartels and deadly drugs our adversaries are watching every misstep to come out of this white house from the southern border to afghanistan and ukraine the american people aren't going to forget the costs of these mistakes with biden at the helm america is weaker our prosperity has been stalled our adversaries are emboldened and our values are in danger that is the state of the union but tonight i have hope in the future because of who americans are and not who is sitting in the white house we're the home of the free because of the brave the american people are resilient and we will rise to any challenge in spite of what's happening under the biden pelosi schumer agenda i'll keep fighting for hoosiers and for the american dream hey everybody congressman or green welcome to whiteboard wednesday and this week is the week of in fact tonight the state of the union address from president biden and of course we know the speech is not going to match reality tonight he's going to tell us that our economy is thriving it's great but it's the highest inflation in 40 years the supply chain crisis we've got a depressed actually you know forced depressed energy sector and many many other things he's going to talk about how america is back but if you look at our standing in the world we actually rejected requests from nato to stay in afghanistan a little longer and help them get out american citizens were abandoned over there and of course the weakness there in afghanistan last year is exactly why vladimir putin thinks he can do what he's doing now and of course congress approved lethal aid and they took months to get it started in fact the lethal aid from the united states i.e stinger missiles just started rolling last week four hundred thousand let's talk about america's open four hundred thousand unaccounted for the lost lagos we don't even know where they are in the us we had 1.6 million come across there's some debate about that number but 1.6 million came across that's how many we documented how many millions more came around the border patrol guys because they were occupied taking care of little children fentanyl has increased 84 sheriffs told me the price of fentanyl has gone from 90 bucks a point to 23 bucks a point that's more dead americans increased overdose deaths of course ice with all these extra people coming in the actual arrests are down 70 which is why the extra people are coming he's going to tell us that he's focused on safety and security of americans but the massive crime increases in our country are off the charts in fact the murder rate is the highest it's been in 25 years so what is the state of the union i promise you it's not going to match the speech tonight that's whiteboard wednesday hi there i just left my first state of the union address and i wanted to give you all a little bit of my perspective on tonight's speech first of all i want to say that i appreciated the president talking about the crisis in ukraine it is tragic what is happening to the ukrainian people and we continue to support providing them lethal aid and resources for a continuing war with russia we have to remember that freedom must always prevail in the face of evil as for domestic issues tonight we heard some talk about inflation but the reality is i've heard from so many oklahomans back home that are really really struggling with rising prices oklahomans are paying approximately 250 more per month because of the biden policies and inflation that we're seeing across the nation this speech really didn't impact or address the root causes of how we can lower inflation and that's really unfortunate as far as the southern border the president was it was interesting he said that we should secure the southern border and for the last you know 13 months uh kamala harris the vice president has been in charge of the southern border but visited once uh there's been no additional funding for border patrol there's been no additional funding for states like texas and arizona who are putting their own national guard on the southern border we need to secure the border we've had two million illegals cross into the country in the last year those are only ones that were apprehended we anticipate or believe that there are 400 000 that were not and with those individuals coming across our opioids including fentanyl in the month of january alone over 800 pounds of fentanyl cross across the southern border we have to address this crisis it has become the number one killer of adults between the ages of 18 and 45 and it must be stopped we really need bipartisan solutions to the crises that are facing the country that is the energy crisis we've seen gas prices rise over a dollar uh home heating prices have skyrocketed 45 we need to address certainly the economic crisis with inflation and the border crisis these things really there were no concrete solutions uh that the president provided and what we did here was a lot of rehashing of the build back better plan that's not going to move the country forward we need to come together and find real solutions to the problems that we face today tonight president biden delivered his first state of the union address after more than a year in office in this last year iowans americans and freedom loving people across the world have wondered what happened to american leadership here at home families are facing the highest inflation in 40 years broken supply chains a crisis at our southern border rising crime and energy and heating costs that are through the roof abroad our adversaries are emboldened and on the march and america is following instead of leading president biden abandoned american citizens and our allies in his haphazard withdrawal from afghanistan resulting in the death of 13 service members including corporal dagin william tyler page of my hometown of red oak let's make no mistake about it the president's disaster in afghanistan and his weakness as a leader can't be separated from what we are seeing right now in ukraine russia's war of aggression and attack on freedom president biden's doctrine of appeasement and his bending to the demands of the radical left have made the world less safe but amid all the crises iowa has been fortunate to have strong compassionate leadership in our governor kim reynolds governor reynolds is cutting taxes expanding opportunity and standing up for our students and families throughout covet 19 she worked to protect the health and safety of iowans without shutting down our economy she was one of the first governors in america to ensure our kids returned to in-person learning when it was safe to do so and she's pushed back on the left's woke agenda banning critical race theory and promoting learning not discriminatory indoctrination governor reynolds response stood in stark contrast to the first year failures of the biden agenda she made the case for freedom and liberty and held iowa up as a shining example of what happens under strong conservative leadership and a plan to put our families first i'm thrilled americans across the country we're able to hear from governor reynolds a leader who understands and has found solutions to the problems hard-working families are facing under the radical policies of the biden administration here's the unvarnished truth as i see it president biden is mismanaged cobit president biden has mismanaged the economy president biden has opened up our southern border and president biden has sent inflation sky high president biden has forfeited america's energy independence president biden's justice department has treated caring parents like criminals while his tolerance for the defund the police movement has helped turn our cities and our streets over to criminals president biden has mismanaged afghanistan and i pray he doesn't mismanage russia's war of aggression and tonight i heard president biden say that he aims to stay the course isn't that just like washington d.c figure out what doesn't work and keep doing it for louisiana families that's bad news it's bad news at work it's bad news at the grocery store it's bad news at home and it's bad news at the gas bump it's bad news for the education of our children it's uh is it's bad news for the security of our country american sovereignty and national security depend on america's energy independence we know that um that's not a a startling realization that's just the known fact that we all understand and that depends in part on louisiana's oil and natural gas resources resources that this president continues to ignore he also continues to ignore the the good jobs that oil and gas creates right now the bible administration doesn't seem to accept or address the uh the reality of a new axis of evil china and russia's de facto alliance anchors a group of bad actors of outlaws of tyrants that are getting uh bolder and more aggressive every day because of the president's own policies at home and abroad inflation continues to surge at the grocery store we know that and at the gas pump and at the clothing store and everywhere and i didn't hear a solution from him tonight he still wants to spend more and and borrow more what president biden doesn't want to do is secure our border i didn't hear a plan for doing that tonight either um we don't know who's coming across our border and our country we have absolutely no idea and president biden doesn't seem to care about the drug or human trafficking that rage on meanwhile our kids um we're only as valuable as our children folks our kids have fallen behind because their schools were closed for far too long the president uh did a whole lot more to intimidate parents and to get teachers back in the classroom a better future for these kids and for all americans demands principled clear-eyed tough leadership and i hope the american people see some soon tonight it was really encouraging to see republicans and democrats join together and send a clear message that the united states is united against vladimir putin's aggression in ukraine we must let the world know that this type of behavior will never be tolerated at home we have a 40-year high in inflation a crisis at our border high energy prices and families struggling with a high cost of living for the last year democrats haven't focused on these issues instead they pushed far left policies that are out of touch with the concerns of rank and file hoosiers instead of his partisan approach i encourage the president of the united states to work with republicans on real solutions to these genuine everyday problems one bipartisan step that he can take right now is to help advance my us innovation and competition act to invest in emerging national security technologies and help us out compete china despite the numerous challenges we face i do believe in this country and i believe in our people and i'm going to keep fighting for the policies that will help get us back on track well that was interesting james lankford i'm downstairs in the capitol after the state of the union just still thinking through the hour-long speech that president biden just gave i thought i'd give just a quick response to some of the things that i heard there as i walked through the speech if you get a chance to be able to hear it i'd be interested in your posts and your thoughts on the speech tonight not just on the delivery but on the content the biggest issues that i saw as we were going through the speech i was kind of flowing through the argument obviously that we're going to stand with the people of ukraine good we should stand with the people of ukraine it was great that the loudest longest applause through the entire speech was actually right at the beginning for the ambassador from ukraine to be able to tell the world that we are standing with the people of ukraine and we should be staying with them for humanitarian res supporting them cutting off russia and isolating them from the world's economy we should do what it takes to be able to make it very very clear to russia that the world will not put up with their aggression and continue to be clear on that so was pleased to be able to see that he actually started with that but kind of the speech went downhill from there to be able to say the least it then started talking about that they were going to save oil prices and try to bring down the cost of energy in america by releasing 60 million barrels of oil worldwide that seems like a big number except for the united states alone uses 20 million barrels of oil a day so that 60 million barrels worldwide they've coordinated equals three days in the world or less three days in america or less than one day of actually world consumption and that's actually got to be replaced that's our strategic oil reserve what we really need to do and what you wouldn't talk about tonight is actually put pressure on russia by increasing oklahoma and america oil and gas production to be able to send to europe if you want to be able to really hurt russia long term you've got to be able to cut off their customers but his focus was really on doing a short-term patch literally for three days in america rather than actually do the long-term issues that need to be done to really provide energy security his whole focus skipped over the fact that the united states is still buying oil from russia right now so we need to cut off purchasing from russia we need to actually replace russia's customers around the world so that we can prevent putin from having the money to be able to murder his neighbors that's the real piece that we need to be able to do and for whatever reason president biden wouldn't talk about that whether it's just just beholden to environmental activists and so he wouldn't talk about how we need to produce oil and gas but that is the most obvious issue that everyone sees that he skipped over he talked about the american rescue plan and then talked about inflation right after that which i thought was interesting because the american rescue plan is what directly led to the inflation that we're facing today he talked about inflation and he said this was all because of covid basically but what he conveniently left out is this is not the kind of inflation that they have in australia or in japan or in south korea or in canada or in multiple countries around the world that are western economies they're not experiencing seven and a half percent inflation because they didn't do a plan like what biden put in place last year where he talked about all these quote-unquote great things of the american rescue plan inflation is the biggest issue his response to inflation was we'll just cut the cost of products we'll just make products cheaper and just declare drug to be cheaper that's not how it really works in a real free market economy and the conversation all the centers are declared prices are going to suddenly be so i was interesting to be able to hear that piece of it there he talked about his cut prices on certain products but he also is going to dramatically raise the price uh for corporations and for their taxes corporations make their money by selling products so if you dramatically raise taxes on corporations they actually then raise prices for products and that continues to be able to accelerate inflation even more so i don't know how that's gonna it was interesting it's a conversation about crime in america was really honoring some police officers that obviously we all grieve with those families but the answer that he had for that was more gun control that we're going to have a dramatically larger amount of gun control and he started listing off all the other areas where he's going to cut that off and clearly it's a second amendment issue that we're going to clearly push back against on this he mentioned this freedom to vote act and said we need to have a freedom to vote act and then just got off of it in a hurry leaving out that that really federalizes elections and takes it over from every single state and says to states like oklahoma we can no longer have voter id we've got to be able to have this valid harvesting processes that you can't verify elections so we talked about verifying elections and then immediately went to a bill and just declared it not mentioning to everybody that actually makes it much harder to be able to verify elections if you do that it was interesting with the supreme court sitting right in front of him he said that roe v wade is under attack and looks right at the supreme court on that while they're in the process of actually debating this issue i would tell you for the supreme court they need the latitude to be able to make this decision based on the law not the president trying to be able to bully them during the state of the union address he talked about border security wow that's all i could say well i was sitting there listening knowing what they've actually done on border security he started talking about technology and how they're going to stop people from illegally crossing these different cases i was just in brownsville just a few weeks ago i saw the courtrooms that he was talking about those courtrooms he was talking about were empty the day i was there like zero people in them 50 000 people had illegally crossed that border just last month they had three different hearings in that so while he talks about we're going to do these courtrooms and we're going to have these judges i've seen it firsthand they're not actually doing hearings there and he can talk a big game about what's actually happening they're not really enforcing it so that was literally not true when he talked to that whole section on border security and it was surprising just because every american knows we have two million people illegally across the border last year and then he can has the audacity to stand there and talk about how we're going to have strong border security on that that's pretty audacious to say the least and then he then switches over to the unity agreement there talking about the opioid epidemic may i remind the president opioids are coming across the border largely from mexico being smuggled across the border because the border is not secure if the president wants to deal with the opioid epidemic i'm all in i want to be able to help that in every area including recovery all the things that need to be done to be able to help americans that are addicted to opioids but we should begin by securing our southern border that's the entry point for those opioids actually coming across so that's number one he talked through some of the mental health issues and he talked about social media companies he got loud applause from both sides of the aisle when he talked about holding social media companies accountable which we've got to do in his department of justice that's so focused on attacking parents right now for standing up in school board meetings his department of justice has the authority right now to deal with antitrust issues in social media companies but he's so far not taken that on and so that's the key thing that they can take on but i'm glad to hear him say that should deal with that he then talked about care for veterans it was in the entire time is when he talked about care for veterans and the burn pits i understand completely on the burn pit issue and what needs to be done to be able to take care of our veterans and we've got to be able to stand by our veterans but i was surprised that while he's talking about afghanistan at that moment he didn't talk about the 13 people that died in the pull outs and to be able to honor those individuals and he certainly didn't talk about the chaos that's still left in afghanistan right now and then finally he ended with ending cancer i don't know of anyone that's opposed to us ending cancer we continue to do investments in cancer what was interesting and what some people may not pick up is he announced a new agency that he wants to create he called it arpa-h to be able to do advanced research on health issues we already have an agency called the national institute for health nih that's their job so all the things he outlined saying we're going to do this with a new agency called rph already exists in an entity called the national institute for health they have alzheimer's they have diabetes they have cancer there so either he's saying we're going to abolish the nih or he's saying we're going to try to create a new agency to be able to do health research or i i don't know maybe it's just going to change the name of the national institute for health and they couldn't figure out what the process was and and where he's actually headed on that let's definitely work to be able to aim cancer let's continue the research that's been going on for decades where we've made good progress we're much better at treating cancer now than we were 10 years ago i pray that we're much better 10 years in the future on that but i'm not sure creating a new agency actually solves cancer we've got to be able to continue to advance research in areas that's really making progress to be able to do that allow doctors to be doctors to practice medicine and to be able to innovate that's the key issue that we've got to be able to deal with in the days ahead i'll be interested in your feedback all the comments are coming so quickly i can't get a chance to be able to read all of them now but i'll be interested to be able to see your thoughts on the state of the union address itself i would say there's a lot of major concerns about the the speech and the proposals that he's put out and the trillions of dollars in new spending and as i mentioned before one of the really audacious parts was his declaration that he's going to do border security now after he's not done border security for a full year and everyone knows it the other big one was he said he's going to now also cut the deficit in half and he'll be the only president that's ever cut the deficit by a trillion dollars in his first year which again i just laughed because i thought that's because of covin last year and all the spending on kovid that we actually worked to be able to keep him from doing even more spending last year he did 2 trillion early in the year that caused all the inflation he wanted to do 4 trillion on top of that that we blocked him we blocked him from actually spending 4 trillion more and then he came and bragged and said that he actually cut the deficit by a trillion dollars that's pretty remarkable to be able to be that bold in that process on something that's just factually not true and quite frankly something he fought hard to be able to get more spending and now he's taking credit to say no actually i was trying to cut the deficit on it anyway we're going to continue to be able to do the work i do encourage you to be able to pray for the president pray for the people of ukraine pray for what's happening in washington dc like we do for the nation as well we have strong disagreements in these areas we have some areas like standing with ukraine working on cancer and some of those where we have strong agreements on but let's as a nation continue to be able to pray for each other and to know that we are all fellow americans but we've got work to be able to do to be able to solve the issues that we face right now so god bless you look forward to getting a chance to be able to follow through and read your comments in the days ahead president biden's speech comes as america is in crisis from inflation to crime to the wide open border joe biden offered little in the way of credible solutions the president is always quick to blame everyone else for the problems that his policies have created and tonight's speech was no exception families all across wyoming are worse off than we were a year ago inflation is at a 40-year high gas prices are up more than a dollar a gallon since the president was sworn in crime in the cities is breaking records more than 2 million people illegally entered our country last year now we see putin's russia intent on restarting the cold war after joe biden showed weakness in afghanistan the price of his weakness was american lives in wyoming we lost our own riley mccollum a u.s marine who died protecting others in the deadly and disastrous withdrawal from afghanistan time after time joe biden has shown that he is asleep at the switch the president missed an important opportunity tonight to change course he should have started by ending his war on american energy a move that would help americans dealing with skyrocketing costs and help our allies escape their dependence on russian energy tonight americans heard more of the same failed ideas and tired liberal talking points americans deserve better i'm going to continue to stand up for the families in wyoming and fight against biden's radical dangerous and failed policies tonight you heard a speech by someone who doesn't know what's going on in the union or at least is hoping you don't know what is the state of the union russia's invasion of ukraine has led to the worst crisis in europe since world war ii massive inflation is everywhere the likes of which we haven't seen since the malaise of jimmy carter parents are frustrated by almost two years of bureaucrats messing with their kids schooling everyday americans see their freedom jobs and livelihoods stolen from them by petty tyrants drunk on power with lockdowns and mandates the state of the union is frankly pretty poor and americans are largely unhappy with biden's performance our two years of lockdowns ballooning national debt and out of control inflation threatens our very national security congress added trillions of dollars in new debt to pay people to stay home from the lockdowns that congress mandated when gas goes up every day when food prices increase weekly these are signs of real trouble of course that's if you can even get the food supply chain issues from our covid policies have continued to bring empty shells late deliveries of just about every item in our economy from meat to used cars from raw materials to boatloads of goods the delays are ongoing economic issues are only part of the problem though parents are being told they're not in charge of their kids education issues such as critical race theory and extreme gender are brought into their small children's classrooms that's if their kids are even meeting in person in a classroom at all biden and his followers want you to believe you're that they're following the science but it looks more like political science to many of us dr fauci wants you to triple mask double vaccinate your five-year-old and hide in your basement that may be okay for a 40 year old government bureaucrat making nearly half a million dollars that's not so easy for everyone else and really the scientific evidence for vaccinating children is not convincing there have been many casualties of the biden policy so far science freedom prosperity strength in the world these are not small matters and they've all happened in barely over a year i shudder to think what will happen if these policies continue unchecked democrats in congress who clapped and cheered tonight bear much of the blame as well they passed the spending bills and enabled the appointees who have made this mess thankfully one thing i can say without flinching about is that americans that we still are the greatest country and that our state of the union can and will bounce back we can get our spending under control we can retake our freedom we can stop the left from taking over our schools and we can fix our foreign policy it starts now parents are fighting back people are listening to other voices with real science on their side and men and women are running for office to take back congress next year i am hopeful that the message will be better or outlook brighter for now keep fighting and hoping that our best days can and will be ahead of us tonight president biden spoke to the country in reality he was speaking to a narrow portion of his base because he's losing it he speaks to putin because his own failed policies have resulted in forced confrontation instead of giving americans reason to have hope for the future biden can't seem to get past the crisis of his own making look that's the absolute weakest possible position for a leader we also see president biden doubling down on the same things that have failed doubling down on the need for more federal spending that's caused inflation to skyrocket making it harder for ordinary americans just to put food on the table americans deserve more and we need to expect better than this while the president attempted to portray optimism tonight the challenges of the present time require an immediate shift in focus away from far-left policies that weaken america's economy national security and foreign policy strength americans are experiencing the sting of the highest inflation in 40 years a record-breaking crisis at the southern border out-of-control crime rates drastic attempts at federal government overreach and the left's attacks on american oil and gas and our energy independence our foreign policy posture has been weakened from a botched withdrawal from afghanistan to the current russian invasion of ukraine and china and the rest of the world are watching we should be pursuing pro-growth policies that will boost competitiveness investment productivity and wages in the wake of this pandemic before the pandemic a combination of pro-growth tax reform and less regulation resulted in one of the strongest economies in a generation we should rely on this proven formula as we rebuild and abandon reckless tax and spend proposals and misguided efforts to reshape the fabric of our society hard working americans are worried about paying bills putting food on the table and the price of gasoline the main thing the people of arkansas needed to hear was a plan to bring down inflation and the supply chain bottlenecks and restore our workforce to full strength it's time for the president to focus on bipartisan solutions to give them relief and quit doubling down on radical measures that pour gas on the fire i urge him to set his partisan agenda aside and respond to the concerns of countless americans by working to contain rising costs secure the southern border and demonstrate a strong foreign policy there's unlimited potential for what our nation can accomplish when we have the tools policy and leadership to realize our dreams is the prices are up inflation is up crime is up and the need for american energy is up we are now buying oil from russia mr president this is appalling and i have a few suggestions to move us back to energy independence support the state of wyoming's regional haze plan for the jim bridger power plant this is a fight against some of the cleanest burning coal in the world and it should stop now include uranium in your list of critical minerals and encourage mining uranium in the u.s so we do not have to rely on places like russia for our supply restart the keystone xl pipeline project fast-track energy infrastructure projects around the country get energy regulators out of the way so states can more easily approve natural gas pipelines fast track energy production on federal lands wyoming is rich in energy resources and we can move quickly if the federal government is our partner not our opponent prevent america's big banks and financial regulatory agencies from blacklisting the energy sector so energy producers can get the loans and services they need to start new projects and increase energy production sanction russian oil and gas exports to america and our allies every barrel of russian oil we buy gives vladimir putin more power empower the american people and wyoming by investing in american energy approve export applications so american producers can send liquefied natural gas to europe and counter vladimir putin's influence there fire gina mccarthy and john kerry their radical environmentalism prevents america's energy independence john kerry has demonstrated that he's not taking vladimir putin's action seriously they both must go mr president the american people need a unifying dream for the next year that dream must include returning america to energy independence wyoming is ready to assist you in making that dream a reality president biden seems to think america is better off than it was a year ago but that's not how the vast majority of americans see the consequences of his failed policies when i talk to north carolinians they're worried about skyrocketing inflation they're worried about record gas prices they're worried about the growing economic and military threat posed by a rising china when the president was elected he promised that he would work to unite the country instead he's pursued a partisan agenda and his answer tonight to some of the nation's most pressing challenges involves doubling down on big government policies that will make inflation even worse my advice for president biden is simple instead of pursuing a far-left agenda start pursuing the agenda of the american people start working across the aisle in good faith we've seen what happens when we work together for a common purpose our nation is united in its resolve to support the brave ukrainian people and to punish russia for its illegal war on aggression we have opportunities to work together to combat inflation to put america back to work to a path of energy independence to secure our border and strengthen our military north carolinians desperately want to see leadership and a new direction from president biden and for the sake of our nation i hope the president starts living up to the promises he's made
