Incredible Lake. There's some pretty good pretty good anglers here. So I'm quite excited My buddy Spencer some plow ski, and I finished Fifth year three years ago two years ago. That's my best finish in this tournament. But I did upgrade partners no offense Spencer, but Sam's a little bit hotter How this tournament works as you can weigh-in for fish each day I mean one big fish 23 inches are over and three fish 18 inches or Under or four fish 18 inches and under if you don't catch a big one, but it's all about the big fish that's gonna be our focus on a big part of the day is Looking for a big one slots are good, but they don't really matter to leave that big fish compliment it so enough talking We were about to get this Alumacraft Honda on the way. I don't know what to say We're talking like 1.5 to 2 miles an hour When it was windy we use the big motor. There's no way it's the pump that's gone shot because we just weren't getting proper pressure So I got completely naked Luckily, we're in the middle of nowhere I've never gotten completely naked in a tournament and I jumped off the back of the boat and I took the filter out that Covers the Live Well intake and it turns out There was fish flies mayflies that our hashing all over the place and they completely plugged up the screen So now we have proper pressure because I wanna keep those fish healthy All right, guys we are we're gonna fish a different area for the first time this tournament I'm very happy with what happened today tons of fish, but we still need a true monster So I'm gonna go fish some memory some spots Spencer some plow ski and myself caught some monsters and free fish and in the tournament Two or three years ago. I've held a lot of ten and a half pound bags today. I caught a lot of fish Sam caught all the big fish this trip. This this lure is Is what did most the damage reef runner this is like a Golden red one. I used more of a bright chartreuse color These are just walleye killers is thinking it down to like 25 feet of water I was using it on a longer trolling rod This is a 8 foot medium heavy East 6x trolling rod with a 302 Kota 20 pound braid I use 20-pound fluoro, which is a little bit heavy but for bigger fish and dirty water it worked. Oh well and then jigging rods Samus is an 8 pound braid with nine pound line fluorocarbon, and this is a 6 foot 3 Meg light, so Jigging and trolling those were our two best tactics. We didn't do much bottom bouncing or rigging. That would have been good as well. But jigging is, you know a very easy tactic for Someone who doesn't fish a lot of tournaments trolling as well is very effective I don't know what else to say Lake the woods is incredible We caught so many fish as you saw some big pike a couple beautiful walleyes, and we'll be back next year Do you wanna fish again?
