my name is tune and you're watching two two one five right now we're doing a walking tour in 4k we're in the northwest section of philadelphia we're gonna do a little walking tour of the nice town neighborhood now if you're familiar with the channel you guys know that i did a driving tour of the tioga nice town neighborhood right right now we're going to focus on nice town only uh toyoga nights town is around broad and eerie we did some driving tours of that but i figured today it's like a 60 degree day or so supposed to be like a high of mid 60s maybe 70s so i wanted to take you guys on a walking tour so y'all can see what it looks like we're walking down germantown avenue check out that mural beautiful mural it's the number 23 from the wayne junction we're right here at the wayne junction stop septa stop we got cobblestone on the street you guys can see that that's cobblestone it's probably older than my grandparents that's probably a hundred plus year old stone we got police right there on my right hand side we're now approaching the intersection of windrum ave and germantown avenue if you look over here before i proceed any further i show you guys the scepter tracks right there y'all see that right yeah it's accept the tracks it's a cloudy day so it's not many uh like defined clouds it's no sun out really but it is t-shirt weather i'm out here with a t-shirt so i'm out here chilling we got the 75 bus stop next to us on my left hand side 75 bus stop we're about to cross windrum on my left-hand side we got the 2000 block of winger hawking wing a hawking ad we got junction beer deli on my left we got nice town court too right here nice town court now most recently nicetown was in the news for a shooting that occurred there was a party a private party probably like 150 or so uh participants in the party and somebody started shooting and i believe several people got shot one person passed away yeah so we'll be walking up germantown i'm gonna see if i can show you guys where that party took place at and then we'll zigzag through a couple of blocks just try to cover a nice little amount today you guys can see we're on germantown avenue these buildings they look relatively new compared to the rest of the neighborhood they look like they were made within the last 20 years does anybody have a date on these i mean i can look it up you guys know how i look up properties and what they're worth and whatnot but these apartments i would say these were probably made within what the last 15 to 20 years right anybody from the neighborhood feel free to chime in let me know we have some original homes right here on the 4400 block of 20th street we're across the 20th street now we got the scepter that's the scepter i always call that the septa double decker even though it ain't two stories high it's two car lanes long so i always call that deceptive double decker but it's really just like a like an extended septa bus we got trio sports bar cafe across the street we got the hearts of academy it's like a child care learning center we got z and z distributors inc across the street wholesale distribution outlet it's a nice big building that john huge it's real big nice color too like if you guys look at the the floral decor up top y'all look nice we got universal missionary baptist church we're passing the 400 block of uber street got the laundry mat y'all can check this block out it's uber street got a nice church right here a new inspirational baptist church let's take a look at this church and then we got nicole m bartlett funeral home at cremations that was the laundromat that i was talking about a couple lots [Applause] look like we got what's that a highway which highway is that right there is that 76 that might just be 76 676 i don't know help me with that 19 from cayuga got like a little little park right here like a little walkway where you can hang out and like recreate now the funny thing is is that you know the neighborhood is called nice town right but it's not to be confused with being a nice uh pleasant neighborhood you know this is one of the hardest toughest neighborhoods in the city you know next to grace ferry next to fair hill next to you know several other neighborhoods that have a reputation for crime nice town happens to be one of the neighborhoods that is known for you know crime passing denny street denny street very colorful little block we got the temple physicians nice town spot right there yeah but this is usually in the news shootings um robberies lately in philly there's been a lot of grand theft auto and immaculate immense incredible amount of grand that photos yeah last year i think there was over 400 grand theft autos this year today i think we have over 80 something grand that photos just two days ago there was a high speed chase a female shot a driver she tried to rob one dude first she tried to take his car then she shot another dude took his car and she went on like a 15 mile um highway speed chase on the atlantic city expressway from here in philly she started the the chase here in philly and all the philly cops and everything they chased her over there and yeah she ended up getting caught apprehended but there's been a lot of grand theft autos lately we're passing the 1900 block of rowan street rowan a little gate i'm trying to show you all that that little playground that's back there you guys see how there's a playground over there all right now we're approaching that little spot where there are 150 people gathering it happen where they did the little shooting were passing the 1700 block of dow key street see we got like the little the nice town banners nice town putting the nice back in the town councilwoman cindy bass eighth district office nice town community development corp welcomes you to nice town park putting the knights back into town i guess that little jungle gym that we saw back there was related to nice town park you see it doesn't look like there's much activity there because it's a cloudy day i can imagine on a nice sunny day there probably people hanging out chilling you got a nice little mural right here and you guys can take a look at the flowers the flowers are starting to come in see we got like blue flowers we got some like violet we got different colors that are about to start coming in got another mural over there so this is that spot where that little shooting had just recently happened it was right there across the street yeah there was a i think an event going on here and yeah a bunch of people um started running after the shooting and i think a few people got hit but one person passed away so that's disappointing but yeah i think they're gonna try to hold the location owner responsible because i don't know if it was approved to have uh gatherings of over 150 people just yet check this out no dumping fine 5 000 bucks and forfeiture a vehicle that's incredible right 5 000 if you get caught dumping and they take your whip all right we got the 1700 block of saint paul street yeah this is that spot and on the news um broadcast that scooter that's parked out outside i don't know if y'all can see that little scooter on the news broadcast that scooter was tipped over that scooter was pushed to the ground or somebody scooted her there was a scooter that was out there i was pushed to the ground you got the nice town cdc community center across the street you got the hot spot season to the bones you're making in american cuisine yeah so yeah we'll probably start cutting through some of the blocks i want to show you guys where that uh shooting just happened i hope that family is able to find peace it's not easy you know losing somebody nice town gift shop on my left center stage party boutique rental social events balloons weddings corporate events and more hair of elegance on my left a beauty salon hair bundles lash extensions cosmetics sew-ins and more we got abonesian baptist church across the street probably just gonna go left right here on bristol 1700 bristol just gonna start walking through the neighborhoods seeing what type of stuff we run into got a little handicap ramp right here or a handicap lift i should say it looks really rusted though got a lot of big trees remember i was telling y'all how those trees they end up ripping up the ground well you're gonna take a look at the next one they usually rip the ground up and the ones that be like older than 100 years they end up going straight to the plumbing you see what i'm talking everything and they just started shooting so i could just show you that now all acts of crime are intentional like direct malicious intent that was just somebody who was just spraying out an open and he happened to get caught up into it and they lost their homie right out there y'all seen that he pointed where he lost his homie at that's crazy and y'all know i talked about this is the dozen plus times but i lost you know a good 20 people in philly you know to gun violence if not more including family and friends best friend you know what i mean so i completely understand and i can sympathize and i like how they empower the education you don't hear that many people from the streets you know y'all hear me talk about get educated but y'all don't hear too many people from the streets from the hood talk about education and that's real dope that was that was nice that was a nice plug it was all natural that was all authentic that was real dope sucks you know he he got shot and he lived to tell about it you know all right we're passing st paul 1700 saint paul street walking down st paul yeah man it's tough it's not easy you heard that he was saying it was it was on a sunny day on a sunny day it could happen on a muggy day happen on a gloomy day it happened on a rainy day that's the messed up part about it it could happen any day could happen right now i could be walking and normally i don't like to walk up or walk down these type of one-way streets because they approaching me from behind so if they're in a vehicle you know what i mean i mean 99 of the time it's like bad energy attracts bad energy so if you don't look for problems there won't be no problems but sometimes it's those random acts of violence which you just heard them saying that was random act which was crazy and then you seen how his lung was stitched it's tough man it's like living out in the um living out in like a war zone you know and that's why i'm just telling y'all that that next time i bet i had to look back to make sure that the car wasn't running up on me um a lot of the time it's like it's like i was telling earlier this is called nice town but nice town as you can see might not be so that spot where where that shooting just happened so we're gonna go on the opposite side of germantown we're gonna go down to a bruner street or brunner [Music] abenesian abyssinian baptist church the it's flipped you haven't really been promoting my music video business heavy like i was in the past yeah in 2017 i was going in it was going in 2016 2015 2016 2017 i was going in heavy heavy heavy doing music with several music videos of a month you know but when my homie passed away that crushed me bro crushed me and it's like it demotivated me a little bit that's when i rebranded i went from tornography entertainment to beyond the sky media and i was starting off good i had a good little traction when i started off with behind the sky media but you know it's pretty much rebuilding a whole brand up again from scratch people most people not all people but a good amount of people when i was on social networking you know knew who tornography entertainment was and knew about tomography in the team and being one of the main go-to guys in philly when it came to music videos and then when i killed that brand and then became beyond the sky media it was starting from scratch because nobody knew who beyond the sky media was you know what i mean so it's like i had to start all over again it was kind of tough and then last year i just decided to i wasn't really promoting my my music video services as much like i still got a website i still got a website i still got a second youtube let's make this left right here i still got a second youtube you know what i mean i still got a whole nother channel that i was uploading music videos on i think i got like five six music videos there give or take i don't know but i didn't desire to push myself in the music business all all crazy you know i didn't decide to like go heavy with it like how i was because the music business comes you know tough territories to cross and i just wanted to find happiness i wanted to find peace losing my homie i felt weird being behind the camera being on set are we on ave and junieta street y'all can see junior street yeah y'all can see julian yeah the street let's walk down junior we got a neighborhood in philly called junieta it's actually the junior park section or junior neighborhood but yeah one day i wanted to you know be one of the most prominent names in the industry and then one day i woke up and didn't even care about it you know what i mean one day i woke up and didn't have the same aspirations that was because i lost my homie i lost my homie i felt like i felt like it wasn't the same because we always made a pat like if i made it i'll bring him on if he made it he'll bring me on and neither of us got to make it before he he left this earth i was close though i was close remember i was telling y'all that sony entertainment wanted me to sign with him that's that's what the homies was telling me the homies was like but but who you signed to but who you with and i'm trying to explain to them that i'm not with nobody like i'm a free agent like i prefer to be dodo i don't you know i shoot i i direct i edit i shoot all my own stuff you know even if they do contact me to book a music video that would be the first one that i reshoot again and and what in over a year and that's by choice because i could be heavily promoting my music video services but i don't have that same uh drive when it comes to that not many people like in philly at least want to pay what the music video rates are are going for you know i mean it's not a lot of people actually and and my rates are pretty cheap compared to like like the industry my rates are pretty cheap like i was telling them i have music video packages that start off at 500. i got music video packages that start off at 500 and it's 50 down at 50 when the final edit is done you know and they got a book at least two weeks ahead of time so yo this is what is this like one of the mom ginseng pills there's this like ginseng pill right here i gotta show y'all this at black panther eight dollars time size and stamina stamina that's funny as ever somebody lost their sauce and they left that john there but yeah man so that's the way that i do it i do you know 50 down at 50 when the final edit is done so for example somebody needed a music video in two weeks you know they would put the deposit lock it in and then two weeks from now we would shoot a music video and then it takes me usually like a week we can have i usually give two weeks for the final edit because i like to you know give time to review make sure i have no flaws but i usually give it like a week and a half week week and a half maybe two weeks tops and two weeks tops is like if it's a real detailed intricate edit a lot of animation a lot of you know key frames and color code correction and color grading then yeah i might need that week and a half and then i invite the client to the lab for uh screening a screening basically allows them to preview the work if there's any changes or anything that needs to be adjusted if there's no changes then yeah that's it they pay the other 50 and job is done look at that little house right there we thank you for your service wow see that little house i was in front yeah so well most people think 500 is too cheap and 500 is a base package i mean if i didn't know they think 500 is too expensive and 500 is just a base package and it goes up five eight hundred a thousand you know fourteen it depends on like what needs to be done but that's why i just fell off i fell off for the music video thing because i felt like i felt like i was putting too much effort out in time and you know some sets i was bringing like tons of equipment you all know i got a lot of gadgets and you know you can't bring three four thousand dollars of equipment to a 200 shoot you know what i mean you can't live off of 200 you know what i mean so this is rough when i was first starting coming up like in 2013 2014 i had 200 packages 300 packages but that's because i was just starting all right we're passing what's that this downton street over there we probably gonna keep on going straight it's it's a rough business the music video business is rough people don't want to pay for the craft and nowadays anybody can buy a you know camera and buy a tripod and you know but there's a lot of fundamentals and things that go into you know creating a quality music video from storytelling to shot composition to camera movement we're passing the 4200 block of seidenham 4200 block of seidenham street so yeah there's like a lot that goes on with it that not many people understand they think it's just point and shoot and it's not just point and shoot like there's many point-and-shoot filmmakers out there or video or videographers what i like to call them but i'm not a videographer i'm a cinematographer director and editor and there's a lot of uh craft that goes behind the actual creation of a music video nice town grill break bread on hicks street look at this this is hicks [Laughter] [Music] oh we got music we got biggie over here i'm trying to walk away from biggie because i don't want to edit this i don't want to have to edit the audio like i like to do my best to keep stuff raw and real because i'm ocd with it when it comes to like the uniformity i like to keep all my tours uniform ah i hear big i think they pause the song yeah i like to keep all my tours uniform you know what i mean right there that would probably be like the most non-uniform tour i had yet but i'ma upload it in his raw's form i think the raw nature is what is the most impactful when it comes to taking one of these tours because editing it up would be just that it would be editing and it wouldn't be natural and i like the fact that one day i'm going to be able to look back at these tours and going to see the natural nature to it [Music] all right we're walking past rowan about to hit st luke's a little bicycle little peppa it's bite hood bikes the bikes you get caught william then they broke they they busted up that windshield up well not the windshield i said the windshield they busted that back window up they drown busted so right down there oh we got a bunch of bugs in front of me yeah we had a bunch of nets i was talking and nancy was trying to fly at my mom i dislike nets so right down there would be route one that would is it route one man yo that's another thing that i don't like about the warmth the warmth brings out nets and bugs and all types of flies oh another group of nets yo hold on let me shut up for like a second all right there you go yeah that is not root one is it that's 76 676 not any of the 676 because 676 is right off of 95. brick pathway kind of feel like i'm in the wizard of oz and all right maybe walking under this little this is the highway bridge the highway that we just um was looking at that i can't figure out if it's route one or if it's a whole nother highway but yeah there's a lot of mud this ground is all muddy all right we're on the 1700 block of cayuga i think that that is route one you know that gotta be route one because broad street is over there and if broad street is over there that's route one but somebody gonna help me in the comment section right one of y'all gonna help me when y'all gonna kids would have had more respect for somebody in their 50s you know what i mean he was probably in his 40s or his 50s but the point is there were kids they were probably like 15 16. you know what i mean and they jumped a septa employee like that's not cool when i was a youngster growing up i was always taught to respect the elders which is why every time i walk through neighborhoods i say sir i say man say oh gee i say you know i disrespect the people you know because in order to get respect you got to do what you got to give respect some cops are over here so let's walk over here and see what the cops are up to we're about to hit bouvier street yeah but i always like to give respect man bouvier street you know what cities look like philly camden and b moore there's a lot of neighborhoods in b more that look like like you in philly or if not i mean they got the same role home stylization the bricks be slightly different like i noticed most of those spots over there i mean i explore be more in-depth but i have been there and i noticed that a lot of the bricks you see how philly be colorful and painted i haven't seen many neighborhoods like that there goes another cat there's a cat walking in the street oh i won't go chase him down because he's the cat going to think that i'm crazy yo that other cat was funny right yo tune crazy i was straight up trying to socialize with a cat right all right we're on 17 from winga hawking we got reyes delhi grocery and then we got kelly's arc of safety child care oh we got a nice classic car over here i'm so tempted to go take a look at that classic car let me get a shot oh there's a dog across the street too get a shot with the cop in it you know i mean let's go take a look at this classic car y'all know i'm always always um tempted to look at a classic car this jaw looks saucy this is on the fire it looks like it's in good shape too the soft top still there the body lines look straight hold on it's a caddy oh the body lines look good this thing is in good shape it looks like it may have been repainted wow this is all right it got little rust bubbles it may have been repainted it's a coop too oh this thing is worth some money right here this is decent and it was inspected in 19. this is fire it's nice it's nice it's nice it's in good shape it's in real good shape wow find the gem in the hood look at that wow that thing isn't good [ __ ] we got some rust bubbles i see it has some rust issues it's missing the side molding oh he got a dent back here is we got some some rust come on on the chrome bumper we got the corner light cracked the rear has been hit been hit right here in the quarter panel and the taillight's been cracked the thing about these cars is once you get like broken parts like tail lights and corner lights and everything it's hard as heck to find replacements and if you do find them they're very costly you know what i mean it's a nice car right that thing is a beauty yeah older gentleman was outside looking at me probably wondering what i was up to oh wow look at this wow wow that that john nice that john nice see you found hidden gems everywhere in the hood all right wow look at that what's that like a hawk hold on let me let me let me point up that's a big old bird that bird is huge i don't know if it looks huge on camera but that jaw that thing is huge oh there's another one two black birds just flying all around there's another one definitely ain't no pigeon pigeons pigeons are puny compared to that yeah john's huge all right we're passing the 4400 block of chadwick this is what chadwick looks like now we're passing the 4400 block of bancroft we went over our our one hour mark yeah y'all know normally i try to keep my tours i went over holy crap we just caught another one but guess what i'm gonna try to make up those 10-15 minutes that i was probably taking with the homies from 17th and um what was that bristol 17 from bristol i'm trying to make up the little 10-15 minutes and just walk show y'all a little bit more look at this lincoln continental you know these these cars the rear doors are are suicide this is the first vehicle that came up with suicide doors from the factory to my knowledge i mean i could be wrong but that's in good shape too look at you got three classic cars in this neighborhood one was an antique i think the caddy was in better shape than this but considering what this is lincoln continental oh i got antique tags yeah there you go antique so yeah i guess they were all antiques yeah because the classic is anything 25 years or older was the antique a 50 year old vehicle i guess this would be 50 because if it's a 70s vehicle where in 2021 70 to 20 is what 70 to 2000 is 30 years and then another 20 years yeah that's 50 years so yeah that's definitely awesome though we found a couple nice whips in the hood yo it goes to show you all right we were just on blavis we just turned off of blavis street oh running around yeah that's how i was when i went and i shot a music video in puerto rico and i was walking around as an adult because i haven't been to puerto rico so i was like a little kid like a pipsqueak i hated it when i went there when i was a kid i think i enjoyed it more when i was an adult they flew me out there to shoot a music video and i was exploring i was doing my thing i was just block of 17th and cortlandt is still walking down courtland we're about to hit the 4500 block of bouvier street bouvier that sounds like something french right like bougie bouvier no dumping fine stuff this is 19th street oh y'all want to see the little scepter was that the septa regional rail somebody tell me what's that that's not the amtrak right that's the regional rail i don't know i don't utilize that specific one right there that much so i wouldn't be able to tell you but it does say septa on it it's about to make a stop at that wayne junction right [Applause] let's walk down spots in the hood like in north their backyard isn't that big like sometimes in norfolk i'm gonna tell you how big a backyard is in north you ready you see these two blocks right here you see from that line to that line is one block right sometimes the back guards be like just two blocks like that boom and that's the backyard like in some of the two-story neighborhoods you'll be lucky if you get three block lanes straight like for example this right here y'all see how this is all shaded pretend that that's the kitchen you see where that line is at this will be the backyard and that's all the backyards being normally so dumb backyards right there was like two times that length and then they had some some grass so they got lucky [Applause] yeah so that's where we started at remember we started like oh over there on germantown that's germantown that's where we came from under the underpass yeah so we'll probably just wrap it up here just so that you know i usually keep them like under an hour but i did this john a little longer because i stopped and i politicked with the homies for a little bit so that was 15 minutes behind so i think i added the 15 minutes we had 118 now so 118 is you know better than enough and i felt like i didn't want to just stop at an hour because for 10-15 minutes i was standing in one spot but i think you all got a good idea of the neighborhood remember this is nice town i did the tioga nice town section but that's closer to erie i wanted to do this section because some people don't even consider that section nice town knightstown tioga are two separate neighborhoods but in some cases they combine them and they just say nice town tioga so that's why i had to do this one because this one is its own little neighborhood as you can see it's actually separated by like several i would say probably like 10 several to like 10 blocks but you know just so so y'all know you know me but um with that being said this is your boy tune i'm tuning
