hello there my name is valerie white williams and i'm a voice teacher and a vocal coach for vocal splendor studios today i'm doing another reaction video and this time i'm reacting to grace vonderwall and her latest official video called lions den so before i get into it make sure you subscribe and click on the bell and hey let's get into it [Music] i don't know how to be with myself colors aren't as bright as they used to be forget the girl they wanted me to be and i don't know how to be okay the audience in my head looking up at me pretending just for them because they need me i'm human and i'm falling [Music] the way that i used to be oh my goodness i saw this video i've saved it and i've kind of been watching her journey as she's kind of getting through her like teenage years this is deep i love [Music] nothing's wrong twisted traumatic and then the morning comes and it's bad again [Music] [Music] [Music] too much oh my goodness she is so deep i'm really glad that you know well yeah she's growing up and she's experimenting but gosh we all have that feeling about our child self and allowing that child self to have joy and this is you know she's got still a lot more growing up to do i don't know how old she is exactly but definitely yeah i remember my party days in college well we all did that but this is a deep song [Music] you tell me [Music] [Applause] [Music] i can feel like a kid again and again [Music] so [Music] wow that was really intense but i loved it i loved what she brought to it she's such a great songwriter and i think a lot of people can relate especially going through this kind of teen young adult years you want to use substances to bring that joy feel that buzz feel that excitement and her voice i mean her songwriting's stunning she's so deep and so real but her voice so powerful she got in those like really belted notes which is exactly what belting is i hate the word belting but getting that intensity in those the passion the passion like and then just brings it back she's really good with the dynamics the whole video was really really really really powerful and the tub that was kind of creepy because so many celebrities like houston have died in tubs and it's like yeah i mean it's it's it's hard it's hard and i love kind of the analogy of you want to find your child's self the joy but using substances to get there which doesn't usually work long term because then you're just actually needing more substances to get that same feeling so that's not the answer but you know at that age group people experiment i did i'm not gonna lie um because i went to college and we you know we listen to music and and drink beer and other things um but that's kind of what you do but there's there's that danger side to it because you need more you need more to get the same feeling and it's hard it's really hard especially with her you know growing up as a kind of a a kind of genius child that wrote amazing songs growing into her adult years and bringing because now she's exposed to all kinds of things and you know there's there's many parties to attend and some of them are not maybe the healthiest but try to find your identity through all that i mean she's a gorgeous woman she's so so talented and i just hope that she i actually i see a shift you know because i know she was doing a bit more edgy stuff now this is edgy too but it's ring it's it's a lot of inner therapy right there there's a lot of looking within as a songwriter her voice sounds great but her voice is the servant to the storytelling and i don't mean by storytelling but telling the message it's so powerful and i think she'll get through this i you know this is happens to so many artists i remember seeing the elvis movie i just saw you know relatively recently made a big impression on me too because there's just so many influences that gets you off where you are i mean because when you're in those kind of circles everybody will give you what you want they will and sometimes it's not in your best interest so it seems to me the song really is saying that she's working that out she's starting to see that it's hard and you want people to like you you want to be cool you want to be in the no group right super powerful super glad i watched it and i'm super glad i chose it because um i saw that come up and i'm like bam this is a winner for her
