V.M.E Combat & Support Vehicles Space Engineers

[Music] hello there and as usual i'm aaron from my stand gamers and welcome today we're spotlighting some amazing community creations now what we're actually having to look at here is the vme collection of rovers from tida and i have to say these rovers are beautifully detailed we're gonna have a quick look at them i'm also gonna have a link down to them in the description below so you can check them out yourself now we've got a selection we've got combat recon some light utility slash combat rovers as well as some more logistical rovers and some support trailers as well we've also got this insurgent type looking technical over here as well so let's get our camera perspective back to normal and we'll start having a little bit of a look around so we'll drop this back up to 78 and we'll have a look through each of these now first off we've got two trailers we've got one support trailer this is quite cool so this has got a cryopod med bay and everything that you kind of need as a little mobile base so you could drop this in case your road was going to get into a bit of an action and you could then respawn from it and rebuild if necessary so the trailers themselves are connected by this hinge joint that is quite effective we'll have a look at that in a moment and a piston so very cool indeed now this is a slightly large dual wheel base trailer and this one is a little bit of a gatling gun turret so what i will say is some of these have been built before the latest and greatest weapons update so you'll just have to bear that in mind so next up we have this little skid loader so we'll actually jump in this and i'll show you well it's not skid lowers it's more of um a hook left truck so you can see on the side the cool little vme logo there all the buttons that you need to control the ship and then once you're inside you just need to make sure you get the right seat i'm probably trying to yeah i'm in the right one and what this has is a really cool little speedy reverse and then we'll take it over and try to hook this crate up so we need to line this up pretty well with the rear of the loader oh that's not too bad on first attempt then we're gonna go to our second page and we're gonna make sure we select the right one so we're going to check one that is going to lower the hook down so as this hook is lower and we can finish it off getting ourselves into position all right and then once it's down here we want to make sure that we can lock it so we have locked it there but let's lock it a little bit lower so that's locked up perfectly and then we just need to reverse the system so we can do all this as well from outside here that's quite cool so toggle magnetic lock hook up down and we can also toggle hook on and off so there we go and we bring the crates back on board now this could be used for an interesting sort of supply system i guess you could also use this to recover rovers and other things if necessary once you've set up once it's going to be quite useful so there you go there's the crates on the back we can hop ourselves in and we can take this to a new location it doesn't do too bad underway you can see it has a bit of a wiggle but it does have magnetic pads underneath there so if you do get the load balanced right you can offload and unload things and hold them on securely so let's drop that off here for a second so we'll just dump that there let the hook loader push the crate away lovely so let's bring the hook back up and let's try out one of these trailers so they connect up quite easily of course hooking up a trailer is is quite an art form in any in any universe let's just make sure we're on the right menu here okay so we're not on that one we're not on that one we have a little hooks suggestion here perhaps there we go so trailer is hooked up it was butter number one and with that trailer hooked up we can of course get ourselves out bring up that little gear that's important to do there should be a button on this side let's see if that's done the right thing yep and then we can tow our trailer to wherever we need so each of these vehicles has different sort of off-road capability i'm not going to go for every single one um but what is really important with these vehicles is good approach and departure angles and a lot of these vehicles have some really good approach and departure angles so you could get up and down some divots like this so if we come in nice and gentle you can see that that approach angle is a little bit stiff but we can use our gyroscopes on board to get up and over the terrain trailer there following him behind very very cool indeed let's uh move off this course ever so slightly and move over to the next vehicle so there's that little trailer deployed behind it very cool so next up we have a little utility truck so this one is an armored utility truck i believe so you can see it has a little survival system on the back where you know there's no survival system it's more of like a a supply center on the back there you've got your supplies everything you need you've got hydrogen engines something that you could go out on a little trip with into a dangerous area maybe you could do with a weapon you've also got that spare tire underneath something that a lot of players forget stick a spare tire on your rover this is the unarmored version i really like this it's got this nice centralized cockpit it's got like a pickup bed at the back with a spare seat and a clang number plate very cool indeed it's got that little connector on the back so you could connect it up i'll lower it up and down into ships good approach angles and departure angles the departure does get a little bit stuck on that mud flat but it'll soon fly off and you've got indicators as well in case you want to do a bit of rp you can't really go wrong with that short wheelbase good turning circle so now we're upgrading ourselves a little further to the bigger chaps so we've got the six wheeled one you can see you've got little wheels on the front here in case you do have a little bit of a forward-based landing camera front and back just like the other design keeping consistency between the design that i think is really important as well so let's have a look is this all wheeled turn no so this is front and rear wheel turn so we'll still get some good movement this one's got a little booster on the back as the last one no so the armored one does but that middle transport one doesn't so a little booster connector a little bit more cargo as well as that turret so now we've got the eight wheeled version still fitting in with the style that i think if you are building a faction especially rovers it's very important just to keep adapting from maybe one or two designs so you've got this similar map similarity between them if that makes any sense some consistency within the design so coming around the back we also have the connector there let's pop ourselves in this and see what's up turning this is also got the armored cockpit there so this is all wheel turn i believe this should have quite good acceleration yeah it does quite good stopping let's let's fly this one over the course quickly so let's just gun it let's just pretend we have no care in the world oh a little bit of a hard hit there yeah that's that was probably more of a a user driver error let's actually have a look underneath while we're we're going through these and see which block is holding these axles together because this is really important in rover design so i do see a little bit of a flaw here so it looks like is this a battery block that's holding let's hold yeah so these battery blocks are actually holding the axles together that could be a bit of a weak spot to be honest rather than not using a blast door block or another axle itself so something maybe to have a look at there so we now have the recon rover so this has got big wheels designed to cross large rough terrain quickly it's got a little bit of bladder at the back boost packs and it's got like a bit of a stance to it that i quite like on the side we have ourselves a connector lock so we can quickly load up on supplies if we need to now this one is quite cool this one's got these big off-road wheels acceleration is not too bad but it holds itself on the ground really well because it's got this wide wheelbase let's give ourselves a little bit of a boost as well we can really get some speed here we gotta launch ourselves over this mountain out here yeah so you you can really do some off-roading with this will this be able to hold this landing yeah just just about if you were smart with the way you land these you can drive them quite aggressively that i do like just gotta be careful with that underneath axle but with this one there's a lot of blocks between the two axles so you can be a bit rougher with it and there we go let's speed this back down here and whip it in for a little bit of a parking brake stop oh there we go so cool little recon rover so now we're getting up to the chunkier chaps even further so this one's got turret now this one is using a cool little turret control block so we can jump in there control everything that we need to but we'll have a look at the detailing on this one so we've got a little bit of stowage on the side spare parts the players might need the wheels are in each one of these arches a little bit of vented armor ko7 displayed there on the side and at the back we actually have a troop area so rear camera standardized across the range and in here we actually have six seats that's that's really quite good as well as a little searchlight timer block here with lighting at the back racks with weapons actually weapons inside them so someone's took the time to fill them up that is lovely indeed you've got access to the top more stowage and you've got eight big wheels so you're not gonna really go wrong so how do you get in to drive this thing well if we come around the front here you can see tucked behind there is a little camera on top we actually have a top deck hatch so we've got gunner commander um and whatever else you'll need so it's not not a british vehicle this so i'm guessing that this right seat is going to be the driver one yeah so as we release the brake this one drives really nice let's see if we can bounce it over some of this terrain we've got these little uh hiccups in the ground oh a little bit too hard got a little bit of fire at the front a little bit of a slower speed aaron takes everything a bit too hard in this game yeah there we go so we've got some articulation of the chassis and the wheels bouncing over each one of them bumps very cool indeed let's see if we can get access to that turret and maybe even have a go at the shooting range so this seat back here what exactly is this this is the commander's seat so what does the commander see have access so he's got access to these little cameras that can can these pop up i'm guessing they can yes yeah so this little camera rises up so the commander has a better field of view very cool so we got the targets over there let's jump ourselves into the gunner's seat i'm guessing is going to be this one if we can get in there so now we have control we've got this little aiming reticle we've got the big gun on a click and boom these little bad guy rovers going down a little bit of a reload time fire the second one up let's have a look from a third person perspective of what that looks like and let's bring our camera around oh very cool indeed the rover with the turret is great they can be a bit laggy and a bit problematic but they're very good so we've also got the little gatling gun turret there so we can hose some targets down if we need while we're firing very cool i like that and then we've got the autocannon on the roof there as well so let's pop ourselves out of that we've got one last one to look at so this is kind of like a more of a direct combat rover and the reason i say that is it's got forward-facing gatling guns that tend to be quite useful on pvp sort of combat it needs a few more weapons facing forward but it has got the missile launcher up there it's got a gatling gun turret so it's more of like a moderate setup a nice armored rover what's the chassis connected up here to just just these little pod-based blocks it's got a jacket self-jacking system as well as a trailer that would be quite raised up now this is cool so this is the side little entrance bay you've got the cockpit there don't drive like a chicken and it says and then we can bring this door up and seal ourselves in here we go we've got one passenger seat and one cryo bay in the back so this could be a bit more of a combat uh exploration vehicle i'm guessing so yeah we've got some nice high ground clearance with this vehicle as well so i'm guessing we'd be able to maneuver over some of these obstacles let's have a quick look so get this left side wheel up ah yeah no problem at all no problem at all them wheels easily articulating quite a soft suspension setting let's give it a bit of a hard turn and see what happens so yeah it's sticking to the ground really well suspension's been settled quite nicely for the weight and the height of this rover it's usually quite easy to roll high up rovers like this so that is the complete collection of vme now there is another one here this is kind of like the bad guy version they've taken that utility rover we looked at over there and added a little gatling gun turret to the back so you've got this speedy sort of technical it's got like some smashed up bits on the back it's in all in this rustier setting even one wheel doesn't match the rest i think's a nice little touch and then as we jump in this one's been built before the turret uh came came into play so when you actually control this all you've really got is uh up and down motion so you cannot you can only really move it left and right so not not not particularly great but it could it could get there once you've added the new turret blocks and controls onto it so there we go a quick look at this cool collection of rovers it's not often we get to have a look at the small crafts and i've really been interested in look at them so let me
