makeup is not done but I was doing my makeup she's here already so I'm gonna go in and sit down and let it do my face I don't know I wanted to do my hair first but um whatever works at this point I'm adventure the adventure of marriage and probably Parenthood right and they've chosen each one of you individually to be here to witness it with him each one of you is special to them and in being here you become an even greater part of their lives good reopening prayer Lord God thank you for every single moment of Our Lives that has moved us to This Moment In Time we are thrilled to be here today it's been a beautiful adventure and an incredible journey and today we are ready to become one to become a team to become a partnership to become a family in your eyes in the eyes of our family and friends Lord we know that marriage is not something to enter lightly and we know that a marriage certificate does not make a marriage we are willing to work hard at this we are willing to sacrifice for each other we are willing to allow each other to be to grow to live and love and just be human to accept each other's Beauty and blemishes manage the ups and downs and be there for each other in good times and in bed we've been together for some time now Lord and today we ask for your blessing a family have blessed us with their approval our friends are thrilled for us and we are so ready witness your powers to each other beautiful this is a great time to ask what marriage is about marriage is a sacred Covenant taken between two people and God it is a deeply spiritual act entered into with much thought and much deliberation of course marriage is different to everyone it's a deeply personal agreement between two people there are no two identical marriages really there are no Rights and Wrongs all we have is a nebulous set of common considerations around religion and Society so my first strong impression to the two of you today is that while positive role models are important and yes often it's the failures that know the pitfalls listen intently to everyone's story but don't try to be like any other couple on Earth you are both 100 individual and your marriage will be 100 unique to me the miracle of today is that of the eight billion people on earth you two found each other and the ball of the potential Partners you had to consider you chose each other and that is very very special the universe and God have brought you right here to this point in time and space and From This Moment onwards this is who you are married and fully committed to each other in at least this lifetime of course to be married you give up certain rights but you also gain certain rights but please take one piece of advice from me today because I can assure you with 100 certainty that you both different as well as being the same if they're things you will agree on and they're going to be some things you argue about right that you both have some really beautiful personality traits and some rather nasty ones snuck away as well Alvin most of those are with you by the way my friends there will be times when you want to do things together there'll be times when you want to do your own thing and there'll be times when frankly you have to do stuff you don't really feel like because that's what it takes to make a marriage work there'll be times when you're congruent times in your diametrically opposed and everything in between marriage isn't about living happily ever after in an unrealistic bubble of love when nothing ever goes wrong it's about knowing that she likes a bacon crispy oven and actually making it that way right or knowing he likes to be met at the gate when he gets home and going out and meeting him there it's about creating memories together that no one else knows it's smiling Edge at each other when you remember him often it's about just taking one look at her sometimes and asking what's wrong just because it's obvious that something's bothering her and it's about the special words and phrases that only the two of you know and use when you are together it's about knowing that you always do three kisses when you kiss them always turn to the right when you hug him smart boosting into gut French and laughter when she says something that was funny a decade ago and the Google it's about laughing at the right time when he tells his favorite joke for the hundredth time to new friends it's about gaining a whole new family and best trying to understand the idiosyncrasies my good friend Dr John de Martini defines love is occurring at the cusp of
