Vlog #138 | Nail Routine, Fragrance Tray Recap, Shop With Me, Come To Pilates With Me

good morning y'all happy Tuesday so I'm getting ready to go to the gym and um yeah I realized I hadn't started my Vlog and my Vlog is well I kind of started it y'all see some clips in a second but I realized I hadn't came and talk to y'all so um I figured why not turn the camera on now I got time right while I drive to the gym anyway I'm sorry if my angle is weird um my Mount right now in this car is like on my uh my vents my air condition events cuz I didn't want to y'all probably been able to tell I got a new car but I still have my old car too so my old car my amount is like on my Dash and this car it's on my air vent Clips because I didn't want to like Mount anything on my Dash because you know this is my baby and I didn't want to put nothing on her so anyway I um anyway I said all that to say the angle is going to be weird whenever I'm driving this car but anyway so um headed to the gym I have a session with my trainer today and um then I'll be going back home to take my kids to school but I do have some stuff to share with y'all so y'all asked in one of my recent videos I think it was my favorites video not from from April but from March I talked to y'all about my new manicure technique so I did that for y'all and I've been doing this over the course of maybe like two and a half weeks now cuz I still have these nails on oh my hands are ashy y'all U I still have these nails on and generally the way I do my nails like this it they last me about 3 weeks so I feel like that's pretty good for at home gel man care so let's go ahead and get into um my nail routine so I actually forgot to share with you all how I prep my nails but basically I removed my old gel polish and then I pushed that my cuticles I am not an expert on this so there are other videos if I can find one that I think is good I will link it for you all but I pushed back my cuticles and then I lightly very lightly buffed my nails to prepare them for gel application I also went ahead and applied my base coat and I forgot to share that with y'all cuz I forgot I was supposed to be recording this but as you can see right here I'm applying my first coat of color and I did my base coat this exact same way so what's important is of course yes I'm obviously painting my nail like I normally would but one thing I've learned to do is to really pile up the nail polish on the tip and at first it looks kind of weird and you're probably going to get some on your skin if you have short nails like me but I found that this really helps preventing my nails from chipping at the edge which is where I would typically get chips or just you know wear so I really pile up the nail polish at the tip of my nail and anything that gets on my skin I try to just wipe it off with my free hand with gel you always want to just make sure you clean up your mistakes before you cure your nails off camera I apply a second coat of color and then a top coat in the same manner and then I wipe my nails clean with alcohol and now you can see I'm just going over my cuticles with a cuticle oil which I really do not do enough but this is really pertinent to keep your cuticles looking good especially if you don't clip them like they do at the nail salons so here is my final product and again I am no Pro I'm just a girl who likes to do her own nails and I think they generally look pretty good fast forward it's been almost 2 weeks since I did my nails and this is what they look like now so with my old routine this is when I would normally take them off and do them later but this is a new thing that I've added to my routine that has really helped my nails and so I basically just buff off the top coat like I'm going to remove the nail polish I do that for all my nails get them nice and like ashy looking pretty much I also take this time to either clip my nails or fou them down I am a person who likes shorter nails so I generally will at least foul them a little bit and make sure I get any ragged ends and once I have used my rough file to get that top coat off then I go in with my buffer block and buff it lightly like I would with my natural nails now of course it's over gel so I can be a little bit rougher but I'm not doing a lot of buffing I'm really just trying to get a smooth surface here next I push back my cuticles and generally when I'm doing it this way I don't use a cuticle remover or anything I'm just pushing it back lightly just to get any cuticles that I might have grown up over the past couple weeks or so once that's done I just use this brush to kind of brush off the residue from my nails and then I apply a pH bond to my nails to give them that easy to stick base that you need with gel polish I do this with my initial application as well I just forgot to show it to y'all the first time around so essentially I'm just doing my manicure all over just going on top of the nail polish I already have there that's been buffed down and so I'm starting out with the base coat and I'm really making sure to get those areas where my nail chipped I pay a lot more attention to them so I'm doing my base coat I'm going to build up the tip like always but if there's any chips I really build it up more there I repeat that same polishing technique with my two layers of color and my top coat and then I wipe it down with alcohol just like I did for the initial manicure next I'm going with my cuticle oil like I tell you yall should and really I need to do my cuticle oil really like twice a day every day but I don't I'm not that great about it but it will really help with the way your nails look around the edges so that you don't have to clip them like they do with the nail [Music] salons and here is my finished product this was kind of a rush job for me but I think they look pretty good and I find this technique to be easier on my nails because I'm not removing the Polish as often and this only took me about 30 minutes as opposed to to a full manicure taking me almost an hour so I hope y'all found that helpful let me know if you have any questions I've never done like any nail tutorial or anything so honestly when I was filming it I was feeling like what are you doing Aisha like I felt like I really want getting the Angles and I didn't have all day to be doing my nails so that's that ooh the sun I'm sorry anyway I'm about to just okay I haven't I um washed it but I haven't like picked it out or anything yet I just left Pilates but yeah I said I would think I was going to come back to y'all on Monday and clearly today is Wednesday Today is Chloe's birthday so I just stopped at Publix I ordered her a small cake just a small one cuz it's just going to be for tonight for our little family um so yeah I'm I'm at Publix to pick it up and while I was was driving I was like wait a minute I never picked back up my Vlog so here I am got my big old bag let's see I can probably take some stuff out of here though cuz I put my knee brace in here child I got some shirts that I got from the studio when I was there oh no I forgot to drop off something to them oh well I'll drop it off later anyway that's that on that me go in Publix I'm going to take y'all with me you are the vine and we are the branches I can do nothing apart from you Giver of Life the one to hold on to I can do nothing apart from you no no you're my life speaking your word and being able to listen I can do nothing apart from you no [Music] you're hey y'all so I've eaten lunch I'm shower and dressed for the day and I'm getting ready to switch out my fragrance tray I figure I would share that with you all so this is my tray from last month I'm going to get y'all a little bit closer and we'll talk about the fragrances as I take them off just a little recap so before we get into the little recap I do want to share with y'all typically when I do these fragrance trays I talk about the fragrances that I'm putting on there and why I chose them on my Tik Tok and then usually YouTube shorts and Instagram shorts I just show y'all what I'm putting on there so if you want to know more about these fragrances I advise that you follow me on Tik Tok and um that's where I do those at and I would do it on YouTube shorts but they only allow 60 seconds and I feel like that's just too much of a rush so um we're going to go ahead and take these off to get ready for next next month's tray so first up we're going to start with the missing one so one that I had here was habiscus mahaj from mesan Celli and that is a strong and Sweet Rose scent um and habiscus scent and it's just one that I felt like I could appreciate but I never really loved it I never really bonded with it and so I put it on my tray this past month and I decided that I did not want it anymore so it is it has been sold so it's gone uh next up is Zera Shan coin this is an almond fragrance that has some musk and some Woody notes I did talk about this in my most recent video I will link it for you all if you're interested next up is greinwich Village which is a um citrusy musky scent has some florals in there as well has this Airy vibe to it and I really enjoy wearing this one this month this is one that I knew that I loved I wasn't trying to decide if I loved or anything like that I just wanted to focus on it for the past month and I am glad that I did next up is El borne by carner Barcelona and this one to me smells like a lightly Woody slightly boozy scent even though that's not what the notes say it does have some florals in there as well and I found this to be a bit of a easy reach but I only wore it maybe twice um um so yeah I'm hoping to get more use out of it over the next few months or so next up is high frequency by initio this fragrance is one that I had not worn a lot previous to putting on this tray and being able to focus on it over the past month or so I really enjoy wearing it it is a almondy floral with a little bit of powdering to it perfect for Springtime and just a really beautiful scent next up is Jean Paul gotier uh gotier Devine this is a salty like vanilla coconut floral type scent you can see I use up quite a bit because this fragrance is brand new I took this out of town with me when I went to go visit my family and I wore it while I was there and I really enjoyed wearing it however when I went it wasn't that hot and so I felt like this is probably best for really hot weather this was lighter than what I expected it was going to be I mean I knew it was kind of like a salty coconut floral but I expected more out of it um so I did enjoy it I do like it I love the bottle but I think this is probably going to be more of a fullon summer scent for me as opposed to like when I went it was like unseasonably cold so it was like in the 60s and for us that's cold I mean I was still in Florida and it was just it wasn't the normal weather at that time of year so I will be trying this out some more over the next few months and then this last fragrance is Imperial Peacock by Alexander J now this one went on the tray because when I got this I really love the smell of it but didn't find myself wearing it that much so I put it on the tray to kind of focus on it and I have to say I only wore it one time every time I thought about wearing this fragrance I just wasn't interested which is not a good look for me so I actually wore it last night the last night the last day of April just to say I wore it but y'all I think this one is going to leave my collection and I sigh because like I had to order this from harrit and the bottle is gorgeous but I don't feel like that's a enough of a reason for me to hold on to it so I think I'm pretty sure I'm going to sell this one so yeah all right let me go ahead and clean off my little tray and then I'm going to set up my new tray I'll let y'all see me set up my new tray but I'm not going to go into detail or even really show it to you because I do that on other platforms so yeah let me get to it happy birthday to [Applause] you thank you hey y'all happy Thursday so I am out I um the kids are at school they just went to school not too long ago and I needed to run just a couple quick errands so I figured I would take yall with me because first stop is going to Sephora that's not really an errand but that's a little bit of fun infused into my air and running um because the new Kali fragrance came out today and I want to go smell it y'all if y'all been around a while you probably know I don't I try not to Blind by Ki fragrances anymore cuz I just don't want to I don't need to really give an explanation I just don't want to and uh but this new one that came out sounds like something I would really enjoy and it has been getting good reviews I haven't watched a ton of reviews but I've watched people that I trust that I know like their fragrance taste I have watched a couple of theirs and it sounds like something that I will enjoy for the summer so it's in my Sephora I checked this morning it's in my Sephora so I'm going to go see if they have it and well I know they have it cuz they're online stock says they have it but I'm going to go in store and smell it and then I need to run a couple other errands that I'll try to take y'all in with me as well so let's go [Music] I'm telling you that there ain't no way pack your bags and then you will go away I'm not going to be begging you to stay M say maybe if you ask me today I would handle this differently things are different I'm new that's not going to happen that's so I got the goods um I bought the new Ki fragrance I do really like the way it smells I kind of felt like I would like it even though it is like one of those really girly scents sometimes I'm leaning into my girly era so I kind of felt like I would like it but I'm glad I went out and smelled it instead of blind buying it even though even though y'all know I love a good Blind by but even like At first spray from the time that I sprayed it till the time that I walked out it smells different and unfortunately Ki fragrances I don't like that they always talking about you got to mate them blah blah blah but this one smells really good as is and it's not too strong um I'm not going to give y'all a review or nothing but just know I liked it there's plenty of reviews you can watch one of them and at some point once I formulate real opinions and I'll talk about it um but yeah anyway next stop is at home to try to find some salt shakers super random but I need a salt shaker we've been out without a salt shaker for like two weeks or maybe like a week and a half we had a salt shaker and it broke and so yeah also the girl at Sephora gave me uh a sample of the new fragrance from Juliet has a gun called Juliet which is one one that I've smelled in store before and liked it but I really wanted to like have a sample of it I didn't ask for it she just gave it to me but I'm glad you did because with those kind of fragrances I feel like they're kind of hard sometimes to test in a store because they're one of the like the Juliet has a gun fragrances are known for being like those light molecular scents and a lot of times I feel like you really don't get a good um gist of how it's going to smell in store because there's so many other smells around and that's one like downfall for me of actually trying fragrances in store is because a lot of times when you try stuff in store you smell so many things um that stuff gets mixed up if you have all these tester cards they get mixed up and then all the smells in the air or whatever you may be wearing also competes with whatever you're smelling so sometimes you can think something doesn't really smell good but you really never gave it that fair shot so I prefer like if I'm going to sample something I prefer to be able to sample it like at my house uh even if it's with just a Dabber to me I get a better I get a better idea of the fragrance from sampling from a Dabber than to just smell it on test cards in the stores particularly so anyway next stop at home even if you're asking even even if you're asking cuz I do what I do and it's time for something new yeah got got to know when to let go got to know when to let go got to know when to let go sometimes giving off can make it grow can make it grow can make it grow [Music] ooh don't want good though it was good um I tried to film some for y'all we'll see how much actually makes this Vlog because when I looked at my camera I felt like it was just a bunch of ass shots and I ain't showing that to y'all on the internet so we'll see if any of that made it in but uh yeah it was it was a good time and it was from a instructor that I haven't um I haven't taken her class in a while because of you know how times line up and everything but yeah it was a good class so getting ready to head home and on my way home I got to go to The UPS Store but then later on I do have some packages I need to open as per usual so I will um share that with y'all and I'm pretty sure I'm going to do that tonight uh if not then I'll do y'all see me on the Vlog tomorrow but I think I'm going to do that tonight so I'll see y'all soon hey y'all so I am home my kids are at the playground so I have a few minutes to unbox these goodies with y'all now two of the bo boxes I haven't opened yet and the other two are just they've been sitting in my guest room to be honest and I just need to put them away so I've been saving them to share with y'all um that's why they're sitting in my guest room so I'm going to share them with y'all now so I'm going to do I have one bag and three pairs of shoes and I think I want to do the bag first cuz it just came it came while I was at Pilates and I'm really ready to open it so let's go ahead and do the bag first so here's my box and here is the bag all wrapped up this is big y'all this is actually bigger than I expected so let's see and just to let y'all know I purchased this from italist um I've never I've always looked at their stuff but I've never actually ordered from them but they are very similar to farfetch.com so they basically stores things from all over the world and um their stuff is authentic they have some designer stuff on there like luxury premium designer and then um they also have like contemporary designers and all kind of stuff it's not just bags it's all kind of stuff but let's see it's so pretty so this is her so this is the MCM V tote I believe and y'all I have um there is a YouTuber I watch that's called her YouTube name is what I'm on today and she talks about a lot of Handbags and I had been seeing this in the backdrop of her video for like the past month or so but she hadn't talked about it and I was waiting for her to talk about it because I it caught my eye but I couldn't really see it that good I never really looked it up to see what it was I didn't comment or anything but anyway recently she talked about it and I was like man so on started the hunt okay I got a shopping problem let's just say that like let's just get that out of the way I do have a shopping problem that I need to control but such is life but there's um there's the front of the bag that has just the MCM emblem here this part is leather this part I believe it's canvas they're CED canvas and this bag is actually pretty big so it comes with a cross body strap but it can also be held handheld or carry under the arm as a clutch now I'm not dressed today so I'm not really sure like y'all are not really going to get the full Vibe but I guess I'll stand up and let y'all kind of see what it looks like on my frame I'm not going to worry about the strap right now because like I said I just want to open this stuff and um then I'll play with it later but let me scoot y'all out some so y'all can see what it looks like on my frame all right you can't see my face but that's fine so this is how big the bag is and let me here it's very professional guys very very professional but I really like it and I think it's going to make like a nice huge clutch but I don't know this yall know this is way bigger than what typically go for but something spoke to me about this bag I like that it was big I like that it gives clutch Vibes but it's very oversized and yeah now I feel like I want to try it on crossbody I'm going to try it on but I'm not going to take off the plastic cuz I don't feel like doing all that on camera I'll have to play around with this when I have on actual clothes and stuff to see how I like it but so far I mean I love the way it feels I love the quality of the leather I have another leather bag well I have a bag that's a full leather from MCM that I love so yeah that's what it looks like cross body it's a little long on me but the strap is adjustable so but yeah that's what it looks like I feel like this is going to be an occasion type bag not going to be like a everyday bag or anything like that but when I want to pull it out and make a statement it definitely will do that so I am super excited to um play around with this look in the mirror you know put on some clothes and see how it works with my outfits but um I'll have to let y'all know later on what I actually really think about it and like I said I have three pairs of shoes so this first one I haven't actually open yet these are some birken stops that I actually they actually caught my eye last year and I wasn't sure how I felt about this style because it's not the normal burka stock style but I saw somebody with this style like in person I was like oh those are actually cute and I knew I wanted this color from last year but again I had never seen it in person but here they are these are they're not burket socks they don't come buckled up y'all you're supposed to put them on and then like you know set them to your feet size but I'm just going to buckle it so you can get the full effect if this want you I'm just going to put it on the biggest Buckle but there it is so it's super cute y'all um so yeah this is a bright green which I really really really like and I kind of I have been looking for some green slides and I knew I like these but I also felt like will they be too casual so we shall see um cuz I was kind of looking at maybe getting some designer green slides like Gucci has some slides but I don't know I don't know but I figured I would try these because like I said I've liked them since last year and actually when I went on the burka website these were on sale now I didn't buy them just cuz they're on sale I bought them cuz already wanted them but the fact that they're on sale made me like go ahead and say okay let's give them a try if I don't like them when I get them home I can always send them back but they are super cute super super cute so I'm excited to try these this next box is from Tory Birch and these were inspired by um brown girl Lux here on YouTube she always talks about these sandals now she has a black pair but I knew I didn't want like plain black um because I have some black Burkin stocks and I felt like they were kind of the same category of shoe um so I found these and they are so cute I've had these shoes now for probably like 3 weeks but these are Tweed so they're Tweed black and white and then what I like about them is the underside the part that actually touches your foot the part here on the sides is leather so the part that would kind of rub your foot more is leather which I feel like it's going to be more comfortable now this part here is tweed but when I tried them on they felt really good so they didn't feel like they were going to bother me so I am super excited to have these I feel like this is going to go well with a lot of outfits and I've actually had the white pair on my wish list and then brown girl Lux just recently did a video and she got the white pair the ivory pair and I was like oh you're making me really want to get these now cuz they were already kind of on my wish list cuz once I ordered these and got them in I was like ooh I kind of want the white pair now but I'm going to hold off y'all I'm going to try not to buy any more sandals cuz I feel like after this I'm kind of set maybe so we shall see y'all know I wear sandals that is like the bulk of the shoe that I wear so I don't actually usually feel bad about buying sandals because I wear them most of the year like Mo from usually from like April March or April through like November I can wear sandals I can probably wear them in December too just depends on the day y'all I our weather's up and down in December but like the majority of the year I can wear sandals so I don't mind having a little bit more on my sandal wardrobe whereas you won't see me out buying a bunch of boots because I never really get a chance to wear them so yeah this is my time for shoes Okay and then the last pair I shared these with y'all on Instagram when they um when they came in stock online I don't even know if they're still in stock but y'all should be following me on Instagram more of the stories you should be follow me on Instagram so these are some Jordans and I don't know who I'm turning into that I'm now buying Jordans but here we are okay these are metallic silver y'all I love them I haven't worn them yet again I've had them about 3 weeks but I love them they are just all metallic silver and they're the low top Jordans I don't know if it's coming off good on camera and I know some of y'all are not going to like these and I'm okay with that but um yeah I actually before I came across these I was actually looking at some metallic silver shoes on Tor Birch I don't know if those are still available but um those were in my cart but I was like let me look around see if I see any more metallic shoes cuz I knew I really like those um but they were actually a lot more expensive than these and then I saw these and I saw the kind that had like the silver edging and then white interior so I saw that kind first and then I saw that these were coming soon I was like you know what I think I'm just going to get these instead because they're less expensive I know they're going to be comfortable and I just really really like them I I really like the toy burst ones too but I felt like they were at the same level of like and these were less money so it's not like I like the toy Birch more and settled for these I felt like they were the same level so yeah got these and I knew these would be comfortable like I said I didn't know about the toy Birch ones cuz I've never tried any of their sneakers but yeah I love these super cute now I don't know what I'm going to wear them with but I feel like I I don't know I've been kind of getting into silver not a ton but a little bit more like I was on gold real heavy real hard but lately I've been like liking to switch it up with some silver accessories and I have a silver bag that I love so I feel like that'll go well with these shoes as well so I'll link everything that I picked up in my description box as per usual and now I'm just getting ready to go fold up some clothes y'all very exciting life before my kids get back home and we have to do our little learning time so yeah I'll see y'all soon good morning y'all happy Friday so I had to come on and tell y'all cuz I don't know who else to tell but I just I'm just leaving a car wash and this is actually my first time coming to this car wash um and um yeah I was vacuuming I was just my car didn't even need a vacuum it really just needed a quick wash because Love Bug season is in effect so if y'all know anything about love bugs they get stuck in your car and it can actually mess up the paint or it's just hard to get them off once they're on there so anyway I went through a car wash and I was like well since I'm here I might as well do a quick vacuum I already I just finished working out so it's not like I got on good clothes or nothing like I'm already sweaty so I do that and I sucked up my key fob into the freaking vacuum and when I say my key fob it's not my cars or my car key fob or anything like that it's my gate key for my um for my neighborhood so it's not a big deal cuz I can always put in the code but I just I went in the inside to tell the people cuz I'm like is that going to mess up their vacuum and it won't it was stuck I mean he couldn't get it out for me right then because he would have had to shut down the car wash or like shut down all the vacuums um but he told me I can come back tomorrow but I just thought that was like embarrassingly funny I forgot to wipe down my car it was funny but it was also like embarrassing like how the hell I suck on my key my key fob and when I washed my car before I don't ever remember moving my key fob out but you know what like previously I had my key fob on a keychain so that's probably what it was so I didn't know it was going to be that strong it's my first time going there and just anyway I thought y'all would laugh at that cuz I thought it was funny um yeah so that's that I didn't want anything but to tell y'all that I don't know if I'll see y'all later or or if this is the end of the Vlog uh hopefully I will start editing this Vlog sometime today once I get back home so I'll see y'all at some point
