welcome to a new day in my household today I am doing a new experiment based on to event this might not actually make it to it so keep on eating them but I'm very making after aha lots of requests a malteaser kick I am going to base this on my chocolate fudge cake I thought I would do something similar because I love the chocolate sponge Annette the only issue is ah to start you need turn June 50 grams of dark chocolate and 250 grams of butter you need to put them into a bowl and melt them together so become nad and smooth and yummy do apologize if the lighting is ever a bit shocking it's not very good having window behind you so that you just become a silhouette to face you changing 25 grams into the bowl and I'm going to also put 225 grams of stalk far too much what help if I pay attention the oven is currently heating to 140 degrees fan little bit off I've already lined 2 tins on the bottom right I'm also putting 225 grams of stalk in the chocolate well now I'm going to melt this in the microwave until it's all smooth I'm going to melt mine on 400 watt power because my microwave is really quite harsh and in my old microwave at my mother's house I used to be able to do it on full power and it would work absolutely fine but this one I don't trust it it will burn it if you're worried you can do it in bold as a glass bowl over a pan of simmering water just because it heat it that way but me this is quicker but you know two-level teaspoons of this in here I also now have 50 grams of the malt powder I use this one for reference this is just a refillable bag you can etch by in a tub but the bag was cheaper so I went with it hope that I'm going to check my chocolate and my butter you can see it's melting so you just need to give it a bit of a hug or just need to give it a bit of a stir around make sure it's all melting properly I can tune up for a bit longer into here I'm now going to pour 125 ml of boiling water catch was just finished so it'll be fine and I'm just going to give it a quick whisk around mix a bit like that looks really watery slightly Horlicks e-liquid now I need to do is I need to add that to my chocolate this is the chocolate and the butter you can see it's all smooth and lovely and all you basically want to do is to add this Internet and mix it again till it's smooth look at it it's lovely yummy yum yum yum yum now I'm going to do I'm going to add four medium eggs in here and 75 mil of buttermilk [Applause] and then I need to add in mill scale you're mixing the eggs in the buttermilk should really default Horowitz but I've already got a very large list left and apparently no clean folks so change that back to ground zero it off 175 grams of blip which help if I put the right flattened I have to self raising in a tiny plane not the bed one little tablespoon woke up okay write that again hundred and seventy-five over gone 25 grams to fill powder one teaspoon of this straight into the bowl and I need a quarter teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda which will react with buttermilk to make a lovely cake [Music] don't you have enough light brown sugar either this is going well we have all the dry ingredients in One Bowl what you need to do it's go big whisk and whisk it all together so that all the dry ingredients evenly distributed I'm going to add in the egg mixture Egham buttermilk add in all of the chocolaty buttery whole EXCI coffee mixture great or and now I'm gonna fold all of this together until it makes a nice sponge it's all lovely together and mix and I'm basically going to separate it between these two so they are all in there looking absolutely lovely and I'm just going to put them in here for I think it's 35 minutes I will start off at Alfred goodness sakes right so 35 minutes on a fan other than 140 degrees hopefully it makes well I know I had a bit of a tidy up in here it's a bit neater now post baking mess and but it's just gone 35 minutes on the timer so I'm going to give it a bit of a check definitely not done yet definitely not done yet didn't even need to poke it alright gonna put seven and a half minutes on some cakes with you changing group you can take a lot longer and that one's gonna pretend that didn't happen it's going to go back to doing a bit of blogging on my website I can hear it beeping I can hear it beeping Gekas beeping ooh you made more done this time ah every week Hey dang old arrow if I could tell you that I know this isn't done by the sound I would give it a quick poke Debbie get another let's go little bit on it five minutes okay this problem is trying to bake and look at them time whoa Animal Kingdom would help if we clean off of that then done no baron even probably cuz I said Kenneth Anpanman and but these are so far my chocolate Horlicks molt cake if you want to put it that way no I'm really excited they look lovely they still feel nice and soft and um quite moist they're quite springy to touch all I'm going to do is I'm going to leave them in there for ten minutes and then I'm going to transfer them onto a wire rack to cool fully I'm about to make the buttercream to go on it and I baked this one something old and Saturday I base this one of the malteaser cupcakes I've got my blog because it's everyone loves it it's a really nice butter cream and basically just uses butter sugar malt powder then either some milk or some hot water to melt it down a little bit basically but one thing I will also be doing is playing some of this in the middle layer of the cake because it is so good now we're going to add in 250 rounds of the icing sugar quite a large amount of embarrassing throw in two batches you also use Tate & Lyle icing sugar because it's got a little bit of corn maize starch in it so when you put it in and you mix it it doesn't go poof to back in and no sugar cloud it's great now that's a mixed in I need to put in second down so I'll put in another 250 once it's zeroed luckily that do it [Music] because it's so light you get quite a lot for the weight fine and I'm going to beat that again and I'm also going to follow the kettle to beat it down I'm going to put in probably two tablespoons boiling water what I usually to pipe on to something is large disposable savoy bags they are quite big as you will see this is one of them I find it holds enough it holds the perfect amount and instead supposable tweed you don't have to pull the cleaning them because I absolutely hate absolutely hate having to reuse something like a piping bag because in my opinion it's just far too much yeah the white or buttercream men in my packing bag all units to close off the end spin it around keep spinning it and it will travel all the way down so it's all full but that one on the plate and then I'll keep the other one yeah so I've got them both there I'll decorate this one first or pretty then I'll do that one and then I'll lift it onto it however one thing I have to do this one is to spread the malteaser stuff on first actually I'll do that so that would be visible and some of the picture shops so I'll be good just gives you an extra bit of malteaser goodness I'll leave that there look later now in tikrit one thing I must say is please don't judge my piping abilities because some times are good sometimes they're bad depends what's going on with my left hand because I have a slight problem with it with like gripping things um hopefully I'll be fine what we shall see [Music] and you'll see the sponges the malteaser spread and then the Horlicks buttercream I'm going to decorate it now I've got some familiy's de bunnies [Music] you [Music] this is my mole teaser cake notice my chocolate malt cake with malteaser spread mole buttercream malteaser bunnies Maltesers and sprinkles for Easter and look at that bad boy I am so excited to share it with you guys and I'm pretty sure it will taste alright but I hope it does I'm going to photograph it in a minute just so I can eat a slice sooner and yeah I hope you love it as much flagging
