Visit Paris' six biggest attractions in under 3 hours - VEDA 6

so let's say you've only got a few hours in Paris like you're laid over in the airport or you live nearby and you just want to drop in for a day trip but you don't know how to get around really quickly and you don't have a lot of time I'm going to show you how to see the big six attractions in Paris in under 3 hours and all you're going to need is seven Metro tickets and some walking shoes and maybe some food and blah blah blah blah blah but you get the idea basically if you're coming into town odds are you're going to end up in a train station so I'm going to start here at Garden Nord which if you come into Charles theal or if you're training in from any of the Northern parts of you're probably going to end up here so either you're going to end up on one of these platforms or you're going to come in on Reb which is underground and you're going to come in on RB if you're coming from Charles de G so we're going to do this in under 3 hours I'm going to start from here on the platform and we're going to end up back here at Garden or so you can head back in less than 3 hours that's the goal all right so it's 12:45 in the afternoon and I'm going to see all of the six attraction the first thing you want to do is you want to look for these signs they're going to highlight the way to metro line 2 metro line 2 is how we're going to start and we're going to basically make a loop through Paris if you're starting in Garden Nord you're walking to L Chapelle if you're not starting from garden Nord just go to my website and you can check out the map that I've created and it's basically a loop just plug yourself in anywhere and you can see them all that way one thing that's good to know is if you're on an escalator and you're not walking you need to stay to the right but if you are walking you can go on the left speaking of walking this isn't something that you have to do like you don't have to run to accomplish this but if you want to see everything in under 3 hours there's no Lolli gagging something that differentiates American tourists from a lot of other tourists is that we move really quickly this is something you're going to have to put to work even if you're not American you're going to have to learn how to be so our first stop is going to be an ver which means that you need to take direction to port doine and we're going to go here and be and we're going to see Sacra Cur that's a first stop so we're at lelle that's the station line two heading in the direction of Port doine something also to be aware of is that if it's high tourist season or Rush Hour you're definitely going to be standing on the train and if the trains are coming really quickly you might stand a better chance of waiting for the next one but odds are you're going to have to fight for a seat if you're going to sit which we're not going to sit cuz we're going to end be and that's really [Music] don't worry [Music] nevery so you're going to go two stops and you're going to get off at and there or if you're going to pronounce it in English ERS and then you're going to go upstairs and you're going to walk through this crowd and we'll see what got from there when you get to the top of the stairs at the exit you're going to turn right and then you're going to walk straight up that hill and you're also going to ignore people that are stopped when there is no traffic so don't lolly gag like I said there's a lot of weird things to look at along here I mean they're selling all sorts of clothes and touristy stuff don't buy into it just keep walking although if you want a cheap souvenir this is a good place to get it or if you want to get totally ripped off by guys who are gambling on the street it's also a good place to get ripped off you got to dip dive duck and Dodge to get through all this touristy stuff and gambling guys and crowds of people there's our goal in the distance just a little bit more diving dipping dodging and ducking and dodging you would took us 9 minutes to get here from when we started it is currently 12:54 and if this view is close enough for you that's close enough for me however if you're like me that's not close enough you got to walk up and practically touch it so I'm going to wind myself and walk all the way to the top of this hill which is a little bit more intimidating than it looks up front and we'll time it from there but we'll we'll keep it we'll keep going the uh the super fast way and the a little bit less fast way so you know where the math is here we are second it took me another 4 minutes so it's 12:58 I Haven took a moment to take some footage of the harps cord down there it's not a harpy cord actually it's a cord it's a harp there's sucker Cur if you want to go up a little bit farther it only take you a couple minutes you can't touch it you can walk around inside of course we're doing the really fast oh fine we'll walk around inside you get a really nice view of the city from up here I'm sorry it's so hazy today I ordered some but they didn't come through for me I'm actually not going to go in side because the fact of the matter is that lines to get in are going to be a variable that I can't account for so we're just going to go with the dip Dodge ducking diving dodging avoiding children on the stairs and that's it because at least you'll get your picture with it and if you have extra time you can go in you can figure out how much time it's going to be go and see stuff but I don't have time right now and I can't guarantee that you're going to be able to make it in yourself so onward the next stop is going to be Mulan Rouge so we're going to walk all the way back down the hill we're going to get back on line two and we're going to take it two more stops over to blunch you could walk there in about 15 minutes but time is of the essence if you're willing to get hustled like that more power to you we're back at vanbear online two two stops once again direction of port doofen and we're heading to blanch something to remember for saving time as well is that the exits are at the same spot in both stations so you might as well just get on where you get off if you're extremely claustrophobic the Metro may not be the best option for you once again from and bear to BL all right it's 1308 I mean 1:08 whatever time it is and I'm at blanch which is a really quick stop there's nothing to worry about going inside for cuz you probably can't even afford the show if you want to see it but it's right here we'll go ahead and cross the street so you can get a better shot of it because I know you want one a very classic thing to do is to stand on top of this vent get your picture taken like Marilyn Monroe even if you're a guy and then hang out here M on Rouge everybody I don't know why it's not turning but I guess they're not grinding anything right now no meal is being made back across the street we go Odo you're probably going to stand in front of Mulan Rouge for more than like a minute so you know there's all these sex shops as well and down there somewhere is the sexed Drome but I don't have time to go hunt down the sex Drome for you I don't even know what a sex Drome is but it's a three story tall building covered in neon lights and it says sex Drome so whatever all right it's about 110 or 111 and we're heading back onto the train once again we're going in the direction of port doofen and this time we're going to Charles theal at TW because our next stop is going to be the Arc of Triumph we're headed down to the Arc of Triumph o and a train is here oh but it's not a train for us dang it that's false advertising sh G is a big station so here's an exit sign right here and we're looking for exit one the sh AR the Triumph exit one that's what we want and uh you saw line six that's what we're going to be coming back for when we go to the Eiffel Tower here you go AR trumph that way it's 11:35 and even with some ridiculous congestion on the stairs there here's the arc Triumph and of course you're going to want to take some pictures and that'll be glorious now what you normally do is you would walk back down uh into the Sim station but it's really congested and you actually are going to have to walk a lot anyways so I'm going to do something different that's the safe way do that again or if you want to walk around the Arc of Triumph in a clockwise fashion go to its side and then there's another train station over there called cair and uh you can go from there and if you take the time to go to CLI a you have shots like this and you can walk around it a little bit and it's not going to lose a lot of time because you're just you're going one station forward and you get to walk around the EI or the arc the trim I'm going to walk around the outside of the roundabout you could go through the inside it doesn't matter but I am going for speed and so here we go I know there are going to be people that are going to complain along the line somewhere that I'm not taking my time I'm not actually seeing anything and that's kind of the point I'm just proving if you don't really have any time you can go and you can just see everything and keep going if you have time just use this as a blueprint on how to get around quickly and take time wherever you go and that's why we're timing it just so you have an idea of how long it takes now if you did go back downstairs you're taking line six in the direction of Nason or nation which is the only Direction you can take so that makes it pretty easy you're going to go just four stops to tradera okay well we're going to skip a stop and we're going to get on cair and then just go two stops to Trocadero I'll show you when I get on the train but that's basically it so when you get to this street avenue cair where the stop is named after and you can see the arct of Triumph directly from the side like that you know you're on the street if you had time you could walk it's only like a kilometer you could walk all the way to the Eiffel Tower it's a nice walk but we don't have time we're getting back on the J this is by far the most depressing form of Tourism that exists but Americans excel at it see everything I can as fast as I can but hey I'm just trying to help so we're at Nason headed to tracadero and I think we just missed the train which means you have to wait a while cuz they sit here forever and there it goes if this ever happens don't despair we're going fast so there's plenty of time but we've got to wait 4 minutes according to that sign in the distance Four 3 minutes yay now this is what's deceptive about this train station it says 3 minutes and then it train shows up the reason is because the train just sits here for 3 minutes which is really annoying but if you don't know that you might get pissed off we're all about saving time so you're going to want to go to the end of the train and you're going to get want to get onto the second the last door oh we get on this door there you go I was one off there you go just follow the skater kids all right we're going for exit one once again and the tel if you have a skateboard it goes a lot faster all right it's 138 and what I always like to do with people when I bring them to the Eiffel Tower for the first time is bring them out of that exit walk along and distract them until we get to about here past the crepe stand and I try to distract them blah blah blah so this is their perspective and so blah blah blah I don't know what I make up something and then I'm like oh yeah look at [Music] that now if you took your time here just take 5 minutes or whatever get your picture in front of the AF Tower that's cool you can get back on line six and take two stops to beer hakee and that's where you would catch the RC which is what we're going to catch at the bottom but for those of you who want to actually walk up to the Eiffel Tower this is a really nice walk so we're going to take a walk to the Eiffel Tower and then from there we're going to go to notra the stairs to go down to the path to walk through The Gardens of tradera on the left or the right of this platform just going to walk straight across cross the street cross the bridge touch the Eiffel Tower whatever you feel like doing and then I'm going to show you how to get to r RC once again ideally you're not rushing like I am right now I mean I'm not running I'm just walking at a good clip don't stress have a good time enjoy it I'm just showing you that you can do it really quickly which means I am hurrying if you do have time I do recommend taking one of the riverboat tours because they're pretty nice and they only take about an hour but you don't have time so we're going fast so here's eiel Tower it's too big for me to get in one shot and basically the idea is once you're here and you're done doing what you're going to do you're going to turn to the right and you're going to walk this way until you hit the RR station it's 148 we're walking away from the Eiffel Tower RC all you had to do is walk straight this way and there you go go under the tracks to platform B Muse dors is a good thing to look for we're getting off at St Michelle St Michelle notredam that's where we're going walk to the front of the train and then up the stairs notom indeed and voila all right it's 206 and we're at Notre all right it's 208 and we are at the foot of notra and the line does not look that bad I I know that looks pretty bad but it moves pretty quickly so if you wanted to go inside you'd definitely be able to I don't know what this giant monstrosity over here is they built it for the 850th anniversary and they're using it for a whole bunch of stuff but all it does is ruin photos so it's 210 and I've only so that means I've been going for less than an hour and a half which is record speed for me which means I have time for a crpe so feel free to get a crpe Boer out there are lots of places around St Michelle but this blue place is my favorite so [Music] far I have my crepe and I'm running out of space on my phone it's 2:25 so I'm going to get online 4 here at St Michelle you want to go in the direction of clevan Court you're going to connect at line one I'll show you and then I'm gonna go over to the lou now to line one we're going to go in the direction of La [Music] def go [Music] Ro two stops later P Royale Now find your way out I'm going to take the exit that is for Muse D but I'm going to get outside as quickly as I can because I don't want to get sucked into the inside Parts because that it's Madness we're just going to go outside you could go that way but you'll get sucked in so basically when you get out you want to go to the left and then upstairs it's 240 and look it's the L we've seen all six and under 2 hours that's actually a record for me so you know Wander Over touch some stuff whatever we've done this in record time pat myself on the back I'm running out of space I had to delete Final Fantasy 4 from my phone just to make space for all this video it's ridiculous so just in case I run out of space entirely you're going to go back on line one head back over to line four and take that North again to Port CLI Court and that'll get off at Gord and that puts it right back at Gord I'm going to head there now is but just in case they run out of space Also cultural Pro tips the police are really nice but you're not supposed to wave at them don't smile and wave or anything like that but you can be very polite and approach them and ask for help just don't wave at them for whatever reason they don't like that Hey look it's the Eiffel tow oh I missed to to Tower it's the Eiffel Tower we were just there a minute ago this time of course you're going to go on the direction of chatau to Ven and look it's just been 2 hours 2:45 that's what 1445 means remember four in the direction of Klean Court Clan to Gord Tada look at that it's 302 we made it back in the garden ORD and I'm walking out to a platform in case you were catching a train otherwise you'd be downstairs it should actually be a little bit faster to go to the RB to go back to the airport but two notes one is that had I gone into sacur and notra on I would have added at least 30 minutes probably 40 minutes to the total travel time so take that into account if you want to go into them they are going to take you a little bit the other thing is that I've done this a lot of times sorry English people the other thing is that I've done this a lot of times and so I'm really familiar with the system and I can be really fast the whole point of this video is just to show you that you can do it as well I mean if I can do it in about 2 hours you can do it in 3 hours I believe in you and if you have more ideally for five six hours whatever to blow you can do it you can see Paris and you can see all the major stuff no problem so with
