[Music] so we're here first lock we've brought some horses over to gallop on the grass gallops and about 10 minutes about 10 minute dory ride away from the yard harry's in front of the spirit so just having a quick walk off here before they head back to the yard gives down a good chance to catch up with them all see how they've worked i'll just walk off here for five or ten minutes then go back to my lorry carry on with the next day just getting the boots off so they can get back in the day just going to show you here one of our little therapeutic gadgets we have here so this stable here the um has obviously the heat lamps up above and the floor is vibrating so that's all don polly on there having a nice little full body massage after you've been out on exercise i'm really nicely angie on sunday licking the belt don what are you doing and then there's my drogo next door looking to have a chat but he loves to go on here after exercise really nice keeps his muscles nice and warm nice and supple so it's great for the older horses like him having a nice massage we're just gonna head up the main bar now going out to see them on the second lot and i'll um show you some of the horses so we've got the wash bays in here with the heat lamps somebody's left them on this is protector app he lives in the main barn here he obviously went up at carlisle it was very impressive in the day but world about oscar next door was debut don polly on the vibrating plate over there my drogo ran really well in a bumper there's racecourse debut at cheltenham on saturday and the rest of these guys seem to be out and then we've got optisma who has been out already this morning first lot he's just back in with the heat lamps on and nice cooler on whilst he cools down having a bit of hay so head out now and watch these on the second lot oh i have a little all my kind here as well he's just in the corner with his heat lamps on having a bit of a sunbathe you can just see his plaques there from his wins last season he caught his super horse first last evening and then he'll go on and have a few more fun days this year so we'll go on second look now and head up the hill which is just at the top there so everyone's just pulling out now for a second they come out into the yard polly i had lad in the middle there he um legs them up and tells them what they're doing this morning um feeling okay before they come down for 10 minutes so this guy these guys are coming up sides and just doing that letting horses stretch their legs a bit a bit more than they did first time up down the far side [Applause] just doing a nice counter these are just all heading off down the hill some will go right back down the carpet about to come up again some of these will go left back down into the yard some of the ones that are just doing one they might be running this weekend or have recently run and the ones that are going to come up again are just doing a little bit more work because they'll be running imminently in the next couple of weeks a walker behind that with the green roof is our accommodation block bridge and quid pro quo they're just having a wash off after second lot bridge is heading off to youtube in a minute she's got a couple of rides there so she'll be off in a minute with messi bridge give us a hold to follow for this season quote uh young lord so here's joe he's one of our head lads he's washing off a nice young horse that was bought this year from the store sales called ethelon um have you got a horse to follow for us jake yes i do around first time last weekend at cheltenham finished second run really well i think a lot of them at home [Music] fingers crossed thank you we're just here with tom messinger who's our assistant trainer he's just giving this ladder wash down after he's ridden him can you give us a thought to follow for the season messy yeah uh i'll give you this lad ashtown lads uh he came this last year from ireland having one of those maiden points of point um but he ran away with me a few weeks ago he finished second round really well but i'm very divorced burglarized after honeybee and he gets back to weatherview tomorrow so keep it across thank you we've just got the horses here he's running tomorrow north of the wall he goes away for a week tomorrow gold who's heading to ask it tomorrow these guys are all getting organized head off up the hill to do popped into this bar barn and we've got black lion here in this bar with rachel so who's going to ask it tomorrow he's got the heat lamps on and this bar um we'll start filling up with the water so it's cold salty water about four degrees he'll stand in there for 20 minutes or so with a nice soak away and then becky hair has got flashlight steel on the equator best box so that's all um heated in there it gets up to about 40 degrees is that right becky and then all the lights go through a different color cycle on the top you can just see the panels there and they are lasers which concentrate on different parts of the horse's body try and make sure you see they're going blue now and it comes through to the computer here on the wall and then becky can tell us if there's anything going on with the horses that they need a bit of attention so really cool bit of kit there so that's black line and flash the steel and this is our spa bar this lock we've just come down to barbary hill barn which is our second yard to watch the horses on the soft sun gallop so this is a 250 meter round loop it's about a third long round [Applause] is i'll go around here a few times a few times in both directions just to make sure they're getting worked evenly both ways in the middle of this scallop we've got a little school there's chris king working with one of the horses that's just had a bit of time off and he's just coming back into work he's going to do plenty of flat work before he starts countering he'll be doing some work in here with chris just to get him up and going and get a bit of fitness into him before he starts doing harder work on the gallop so it's a really nice facility we've got the show jumps here baby hurdle roll top and a brush hurdle and it's really useful to be able to bring the youngsters in here when they start jumping and get them to learn a proper technique chris works with a few of the older horses as well that just maybe need a bit of confidence or a bit of help with their technique but no it's a lovely spot
