Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Despite the clickbait title and thumbnail, I do believe this is my best video yet. It goes over a lot of features often taken for granted in Vim, and illustrates the thinking process behind natively molding Vim to work with any language.
Any feedback is very much appreciated!
u/romainl :D
A link to your own dotfiles perhaps?
Not a programmer by all means but use vim to edit files and what not. The whole thing felt as if Dumbledore was teaching me a high level spell and all I knew was abracadabra. In short: didnβt get shit but was cool to watch.
Also... youβre a legend my dude :DDD
i love your videos they are so good! great personality, clear speech, a bit of bravado, dash of humor, and really seriously solid tips. Awesome!
Hey I caught this talk live. It was great to see all the Vim native stuff you can use to make Vim work for you. I'm excited to see what other content you post :)
Man, with your video I discovered that you can define ranges with patterns! Also you gave me an example of use of \zs and \ze in a regular expression.
Thank you!
I am not sure if it was you or some other speaker, asked the viewers to comment 1, 2 or 3 on the vimconf live chat for begginer, intermediate and expert level at Vim usage. I rated myself 2 but after watching your talk and all other talks on vimconf, I just realized I am probably a 0.5. There is so much more to explore in Vim. Vimconf was a super leaning experience for me.
I enjoyed watching this, thank you!
