Tonight, the Portsmouth community is mourning the loss of a 10 year old boy, Keandre Thornhill. That's him right there on your screen. Died after a stray bullet went through his home and hit him Friday evening, Portsmouth, police already arrested one person but are still looking for another new New Tonight. Brenda mcintosh is live in the Cradock neighborhood where people came together to honor the boy's life. And Brenda, you spoke to Ch Andre's mother. That's right. Stephanie about an hour ago, I spoke to Kant's mother, Kavina Thornhill. She says she's angry and she wants Justice Portsmouth police chief, Stephen Jenkins says Friday evening shooting started as a fight between teenage girls. Jenkins says Chantre tragically died after a stray bullet went through the window of his home and hit him. Police arrested 31 year old Ross and charged her with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Detectives are still searching for a person of interest that's 26 year old Cleon Banks. He's considered armed and dangerous. Now this evening, dozens of people packed Farragut Street to remember. 10 year old Kant Thornhill tells me he leaves behind four siblings and she calls him an old soul, that little boy on time that I was going through. Nobody understand he would rub my back and tell me mama it's gonna be ok. He's not here for me. There, his voice to tell me it's gonna be ok. And Thorn Hill says she won't stop until justice is served.
