hey guys jack here with uh the vivor uh chamber vacuum machine and I want to make sure I get the right part number on this one it is the DZ 260c uh and I am comparing it to the vacuum uh vacmaster vp230 which is what I've had now for a little bit over a year uh the vacm back there we've used this a long time we're really really really happy with it but it was $1,100 this is like 440 bucks on a regular basis 44 $429 is what this sells for day today and right now by the time I get this video up tomorrow I don't know maybe the sale will go away right now you get the dad gone thing for 329 bucks um on sale if you are a member at Vivo which just basically means you have an account which you can set up for free if you don't already have it so 329 Bucks versus 1100 you know I really like that machine and I bought the best I could find at the time I could buy three of these for the cost of that machine and definitely be ahead I don't know that I would buy that machine if I knew how good this was I looked at several people that did reviews including people that had them for like a year or so on YouTube and so when vivor was good enough to be willing to send me one I was like yeah let's give it a run so let's just go ahead and set up uh a seal with it one thing I really like about it here in the front it is very intuitive to set the time I would say more than the vacm you have to kind of cycle through where all your settings have their individual settings so you can decrease or increase your vacuum time 30 seconds is what they recommend 25 is probably enough your ceiling time is something you want to play with based on how thick the bag material you're using is the thicker the bag material probably a little longer but 1.5 is a base setting and then cooling time so the way this works it it ejects all of the the air from the chamber then it seals then it allows that seal to cool and then it lets air back in and the bag wraps around it so the cooling time's really important as well but again you can play with that based on are you using inside or outside what's the temperature Etc but it's really really easy you can go from single to dual seal I don't know why anybody would do a single seal it doesn't even make any sense to me uh but it seems like all of them have that CU your typical now one thing with chamber vac you'll notice there's no little ridges or anything this is not a vacuum sealer it is a chamber vacuum sealer so unlike your food savers and all where they need those ridges to get air out of the bags it just takes all the air out of the entire chamber so you don't need those ridges in fact those kinds of bags will not even work um so these things pay for themselves pretty quick because the bags cost a lot less money cuz they're far less specialized and un the vacm the the seal bar is in the front this has it in the back back it's got this little little Dil Whopper that you close down on it and then you have to have it on to do this and don't ever uh lock it down when you're running the cycle you push down and I have to say that it actually runs quieter than the vacm it's a much quieter vacuum pump in there compared to that one and it'll run it'll pull vacuum and you can see right here you know once you get down below that Mark right there you got enough vacuum so if you're doing a lot of sealing you may want to reduce your time once you know how much you want to pull but this will pull down like that's outer space right there so that's going to pull all the way down and if you watch as we go through here you'll see the vacuuming will stop then the ceiling time will kick down and then your cooling time will kick down and then boom and we're just sealing a piece of gooded cheese here for Dorothy she buys these big wedges and I bust them in half for uh so that'll keep that one from going moldy or anything it probably won't really need to be vacuum seal we didn't really have anything they needed vacuum sealing today and gooded cheese doesn't stick around long when darthy uh gets into opening it up but I'll show you a c few other things here one of the really cool things and this is something you definitely want to use uh this will help take some space up in the chamber but that's not really what it's all about it reduces the size of it and so you can see it's a little deeper here now and what that does is if you are doing something like I just did cheese or whatever your bag's not kinked so it'll lay a little nicer for you where if you're using something that's a little thicker you might need to remove that 90% of the time uh the vacm has a plastic one 90% of the time I leave it in there another cool thing you can do with these is you can seal jars so I sealed this jar before we started so you didn't have to listen to it run multiple times but right so uh you can dry can basically with these now the chamber size is almost the same in these two units this one's a little shorter this way they're the same width so the largest bags I have will fit in here and in there but one thing you can do in there you can't do in here this this raised area is a little bit bigger in the VAC master so you can do two of these jars in the vacm at a time you can only do one of these if that's worth 900 bucks more or 800 bucks more whatever it is then you can do that the other thing is these large like these half gallon size ones I don't actually do a lot of dry candy so I don't care but they will fit in that one and they won't fit in this one so I mean I'm nitpicking at this point um again when you're going to put it away turn it off whenever you push this down that's what starts it so you do not want to lock it unless you're act you know unless you're putting it away um it does come with some oil you know just generic vacuum seal oil and one of the problems I would say that vavor seems to have with just about everything and again I want you to see this a really nice seal that it does and it does a really good job everybody's reviewed them seems happy with them they send you this little kid of tools and it has a heat tape and uh so that these are like replacement parts couple screwdrivers I'm sure there's a straight screw on this thing somewhere I didn't see any when I was working on it little fill screwdriver they're decent screwdrivers they're not clins or anything but they're they're fine I mean they're nicer than some of the extra little extra goodies feed more sents with some other stuff um but if you come around here on the back side this is something they're not real clear about it tells you to make sure you fill up the vacuum pump and to the fill line and all that with the oil but it what it does tell you is how to do that if you've ever used one of these it's no big deal cuz they all work the same you remove this back panel take six screws really easy pump sitting right there it's got a drain nozzle on it so you can drain it to refill your oil if you need to which is important oil breaks down uin break down you should set a schedule depending on how much use you get out of it cuz if it's just sitting there doing nothing it ain't no big deal but if you're using it a lot you want to change that oil uh frequently and I recommend and I'll put in the review this brand for buying your own oil there's nothing wrong with using the stuff that comes with it but long term this is what I use in my VMAs and don't go cheap on oil like this is a this is not the most expensive oil still cheap and a vacuum pump's expensive uh so you do have to in it a few things theor has always been weak on their instructions but overall I mean I can't see why you would spend 11100 bucks for one of these unless you're just a person like me and when you buy something you buy the best you can afford I think it probably has more longevity or whatever but functionally there's almost no difference and they're pretty close in size so one of the things we don't have room for that in our kitchen so we keep that right there where it is on that uh it's in our outdoor kitchen area so this cover on but it's outside so we went to this company called digital deck covers and uh that's our cover right there for for this one and it's not exactly the same but if I don't know if they digital deck covers makes a lot of covers for things that you can order by model number uh the one for the the the vacm p230 would fit this Vore beautifully and if you're going to keep it outside or out in the shop or something I really recommend you get one of these covers because you know they're not designed to be out in the elements at all so anyway I'm going to tell you at 320 bucks I don't know how you can't pick one of these up and again I don't know how long that sale is going to last but even at full price $429 if you look at a good vacuum sealer you're looking at a 100 bucks this is if you do a lot of vacuum sealing this is going to pay for itself in savings on bags less headaches and then one of the biggest things you can vacuum seal wet stuff with a chamber vac so all of us have been using like a a vac m a vac sealer or whatever and you have a piece of meat and it's got some blood in it and it starts coming up the bag and you have to kill that vacuum and hit seal manually because if any liquid gets in the seal that Seal's going to fail one way around that that I used to do all the time is take all my stuff put it in the bag throw it in the freezer let it freeze like 80% of the way then vacuum seal it with this you can literally put a bag of soup in there which is another reason that you might want to pop this spacer out so that that bag can lay and your top can go up here but you can you can seal things that are wet and that means another thing you can do with these and this is awesome and I do it all the time is make your marinades and Seasonings up put it in the bag with your meat vacuum seal your meat and you basically get in 15 minutes the same kind of marinade you get an hour or I mean in overnight in a refrigerator because you're pulling into the pores of the meat so these are awesome I kind of feel dumb now spending 1,00 bucks on that now this one's actually probably going to go to somebody in the tsp audience exactly how that's going to happen we're not going to say yet cuz I do think that probably does have a little bit more quality advantage to it but if I was buying it today again I could buy two of these and have a few hundred left over and have two is one and one is none so this is the way I would go in the future and remember not only is it got that great price use the link in my ride up in the ride up there's a discount code you get another 5% off if you buy through our connection with VOR
