Ursa Mini Pro 12k vs Arri Alexa

so in this video we're going to be comparing the ursa mini pro 12k to the arie alexa classic this is a matchup that i've been wanting to do for a very long time now just a disclaimer like always i don't do too much with these footage i don't do secondaries right i only do primaries and pretty much minimal white balance control because i want to show you guys what the cameras look like straight out of the box because as we all know color grading is just a matter of preference right so that being said the area alexa was converted to arie uh rec 709 and then the ursa mini pro 12k was converted to extended uh video dynamic range or extended range so if you want to play around with the footage check out the pin comment below so you guys can download the footage yourselves and play around with it so it's pretty obvious to everyone straight out of the camera the airy alexa still to me at least holds better color especially in the green now like i said in the comments below before black magic cameras trees and grass and green stuff is really their kryptonite i gotta tell you i honestly like where the earth so many pro 12k is going i like where black magic design is going because if you look at these footage straight out of the camera with just rec 709 conversions you will see where black magic design is trying to go to they are in my opinion they are really trying to get that airy look nailed down and mimic as much as possible obviously the skin tones that's what you're really paying for with the area alexa just that's some magical skin tones that their area alexa can really have but like i said professional colorists out there i bet you they can make this thing look even closer you know what i mean there are some approach welfare i bet they can work and make closer and i'm maybe one day i'm hoping somebody would come up with a lut that would kind of like similar to the pocket 4k pocket 6k lut that would kind of make their symmetry pro 12k even look way closer than what is going on right now anyways this is just my first test i'm gonna be doing a couple more tests guys uh different scenarios and whatnot let me know in the comments below what you would like to see i got a i got a couple of stuff in mind that i want to do but uh like always always just open it up to people [Music] you
