Hi it’s Nobita. First of all, thank you so much
for watching the previous video. I’ve got a lot of messages
worrying about her and I’m sure many people want to hear
from her directly how she’s doing now. So let’s go see her again. (Since I posted the video,) (I’ve been getting a lot of
messages caring about you.) (How about you?) Yeah, I’ve got so many
English messages and I hardly
understood it. But I really appreciate
them concerning about me. Someone sent me a photo of bananas
and said “Hey, I’ll send you 100 bananas.” Come on, I don’t
need that many. Besides, it’s gonna be all rotten inside
when I got here. But again, I do
appreciate their concern. (Some people were doubting and asked
me that, “Is that girl really homeless?”.) Yeah, I often get that. I guess I look too clean
as a homeless person. (Maybe people associate a homeless person
with dirty looking or worn out clothes.) Yeah, I think so. But if they see me in person, I'm sure
they can instantly tell I’m homeless. Only in a video,
I look decent. (Actually, you always
wear the same clothes.) Of course, because
this is only what I got. (Do you wash your hair
sometimes though?) Actually, I don’t and
my hair is so stiff. (Really? It looks
fine though.) Yeah, I guess so. (You know, it’s been a
while since we last met.) (Has anything changed?) Fortunately, I got my ID back
from my parents. I consulted with a lawyer
of a NGO ('Houterasu') and then, I could have a meeting
with my parents at their house. In the end, I could get it back
almost by force. Actually, we had a big fight
and they called the police. And I got arrested. To be fair, I think
I was quite heated and ran rampage. They gave me one condition though
to let my ID go. “Stay away from
this house forever!" (You mean, they disowned you
so you can keep your ID?) Yeah, I guess the police
just wanted to get it done and that’s why they
suggested us like that. (So do you work now?) Yes. (Where?) The same beef bowl restaurant that I've
been working at till my ID was taken away. but they let me work there
only about 2 days a month. (That’s it?) Yeah, I tried to get other part-time jobs
but didn’t make it. No one wanted
to hire me. You know, there’re so few job openings
in the first place nowadays so it’s quite tough. My immediate goal for now
is to rent an apartment. Not having a place to live,
it’s difficult to work or get a job. Getting a place to live,
hopefully I can have a decent job. (So where do
you sleep now?) It’s still in a
public toilet of a park. Yeah, I still
stay there mostly. (Can’t find any place to live?)
- Yeah, it is difficult since I want to
live with a cat. (OK, that's why. Not many places
allow you to have a pet in Japan.) Yeah, I think so. (By the way, you said you were
applying for the welfare, right?) Yes, I was. And I was waiting for the result
for quite a while but in the end, it wasn't approved
and they told me that- I should go to
another municipality. But they didn’t approve
the welfare either. I guess they thought I was
still young enough to work. (I was told by a social worker though
if you have a mental disorder,) (you'll get approved almost 100%
to live on welfare in Japan.) Yeah, that's right. But I need to prepare
certain documents and to get them, it’ll
take about six moths. (Such a long time?)
- Yes. (Do you plan to get any medical
treatment for your mental disorder?) Actually, I’m
already taking it. But it is
getting worse. So my emotional ups and downs
have been very erratic recently. And while I’m working, I can't help but do
something else that I'm not supposed to do. Even though she
got her ID back, probably there’re still a lot of challenges
that she needs to overcome. To help her get a new place and get closer to her goals, I've just set up a crowdfunding page
on behalf of her so check it out
if you want to support her. Sorry for doing it so late but she might have been able
to be on the welfare at that time so I wasn’t sure
if I should do it. Anyway, there’re still many
other homeless people in Japan and I know just helping
one person isn’t nearly enough. But as many people say,
one is better than zero. And I really hope that she can help other homeless
people in the future. Lastly, she has something to say to all the
people who watched the previous video. I want to express my thanks to all
the people watching the video. And I do appreciate all the caring
and encouraging comments which helped me a lot. I will continuously live
every day as best I can.
