Unzipping the OCEAN.

how's it going champs we're playing raft we're building something pretty crazy today i was browsing the internet and i saw this japanese person i think it was built this boat over in japan that is shaped like a zipper and it looks like it unzips the ocean it's the craziest thing i've ever seen and i thought hey i could probably build that in draft so that's what i'm trying to do i'm gonna try and build this thing um let's get some triangle pieces this thing could look pretty dodgy pretty fast okay let's put that there they definitely go fatter on the ends this is gonna look nice i want you guys to rate my zipper boat out of like i don't know 50 when it's done all right just give it a fair rating bearing in mind this has got to be pretty hard to build right it's got to be hard it's a it's a zipper come on so i've got about maybe 20 to 30 mods running at the moment i've got a lot of mods to make this happen i can't be running out of wood and stuff like that i'm free building at the moment the cool thing is i can kind of see the raft shape in the top left hand corner i've got a mod installed that gives me an actual map super handy now i need to get some engines on this thing so that it actually drives the whole idea is that the wake coming off the engines kind of looks like you're unzipping the ocean now the tricky thing is using mods i can actually place these down without carving holes you know in my raft one engine and two they're overlapping i wonder if they're still gonna work if they're overlapped okay well i guess there's only one way to find it let's just go ahead and chuck these batteries on get the engines all facing the right way and go oh oh yeah yes working yes awesome look at that it still works despite the fact that they overlapped each other okay i've got 10 engines in all up i think that's pretty much what i'm working with you'll notice that the wood that i've got going on here is different that's the original raft pieces i thought i would leave those there just so that we could remember you know where we came from what we started with now an amazing mod that i've got installed right check this out let's go again glass walls i'm gonna go with glass walls for down the bottom here because i actually want this to be a functional house okay this is not it's just not the show okay we want this to look nice as well i want to be able to live in this thing the cool thing is i actually saw some news just today that there is an update coming out soon for raf they don't have a date yet but uh it's coming and it's gonna be cool man they've got some new characters new places to explore i think there's even like some new fish like an angler fish that i saw that's cool man those things are spooky okay let's throw these down nice this is gonna be like the part that we live in i guess we can live down here with the engines and breathe in all the fumes oh man stop sticking them on the outside so zippers tend to have like a couple of layers listen to me going on like i'm some kind of zipper engineer oh dude this is gonna be awesome yes i can't wait to see what this thing looks like when it's completely built and you can see it just flying across the ocean we're gonna have to do some like you know flying around to see what it looks like i kind of built myself in here hang on a second alright we need a staircase okay is that is that right i think that's right okay so there we have it we have the first part of our zipper this is pretty good yeah it looks nice it kind of looks exactly how it looked in the map up the top left-hand corner but that's all right that's the general zipper shape i'm going for for the bit that does does this bit you know this bit you know what i mean you guys know it's taking on the shape of a zipper once this thing is built i'm obviously going to paint it as well all right it's got to be painted oh god i've got super jump still on i can see the shark down there i got to put some holes there you guys are like man what the heck is finn even up to what's he doing i think he's going crazy i kind of feel a little bit like i am all right but it's gonna be so worth it trust me when this zipper is made this is gonna be the best raft for blasting around the ocean you guys are gonna be so jelly of my raft all right there we go and then we'll put some furniture and stuff downstairs she's gonna be schmick okay where's the angled pieces there we go i want to use some more of the glass bits those things are cool as man all right i'm gonna put these angled sections up there like that because the top part of your zipper is normally rounded just you know for the sake of weirdness and just to stop it feeling so weird can we just say we're talking about like a zipper on a pencil case all right not zipper on pants all right there we go this build kind of reminds me of that one where i put a bit like 540 40 or 50 engines on a raft man that thing was fast i'm gonna start doing the long part of the zipper you know like the the grabby bit i don't know what you call that bit the tank is it called the zipper tag all right it's got to be six wide yep i'm not sure it's long enough there we go yeah i think this needs to be longer i don't think it's long enough all right yeah get these little corner pieces in there so it looks nice and rounded oh man this is so dumb this thing it's dumb but it's cool at the same time yes yes it is taking on the zipper shape all right it's missing something though it's missing something it is starting to get a little bit wobbly with the waves the waves are coming up this is not good this is not what i want you know what i think this game needs it needs mounts you know what i mean like an animal that you can tame like a beluga whale or something like that and you can like you can ride it that's that's really what this game needs that would be amazing or like maybe even a pet piranha oh that super jumper's still on yeah like a pet piranha or dogfish that'd be pretty good alrighty there dudes yeah cool it's probably not going to look amazing until it's well it might not ever look amazing let's be honest be true to yourself in it might look terrible champ from the get-go i'm just making this thing and i'm picturing someone's parents walk in and going hey son what are you watching i'm just watching finpoi or what's he up to today he's building a giant zipper like a zip line no no not a zip line like a zipper like on your pants yeah that's what he's building and then the parents are like you're banned from vampire you are banned not allowed to ever watch him again that guy is weird he builds zippers is it how's it looking i can't see wait a minute it's not painted i realized this um it doesn't have anything else going for it at the moment except for it i think it's zipper shaped oh dude it's shaped like a zipper wow okay i think down here is a bit weird though i think we might need to shorten it up or something no that's that's definitely zipper-shaped hang on what is this what's going on back here with this bit of wood hang on a second let's chop that off there looks a little bit crazy just a bit crazy all right i'm going to throw some glass walls down here just like this see how it goes from red to green i've got a mod installed that allows me to just build wherever i want if it's showing up as red i could be like nah bro i'm gonna build that and then i can just press a key and it lets me build see that so good okay so i put all this glass down here to sort of wall off all of the engines but i can still see them like it's some kind of super secret sciencey lab thing you know what i mean yeah it's awesome okay we need a steering wheel so we can actually see where we're going just gonna put that there cool so let's just jump into the item spawner and have a look at some of the furniture that we can get oh yeah look at some of this furniture man that's pretty good we've got sofas we've got a hot tub i'm getting a hot tub oh there's lamps yes let's put some of these lamps down here cool i might just put a lamp there get another lamp going on there yeah i've got some lighting going on that looks pretty nice i'm gonna put my safe down there super secret safe going on look at that i can even open it that thing works really well uh where's my table let's get my table going on over here this is where i eat okay it's the dining area for my cool raft here's the spa spot it's too big oh no i can sit in here but it's just it's way too big oh no what's going on oh i'm stuck in my spa oh oh hang on maybe i can crouch i can just am i out yeah i'm out of there okay that's way too big way stupid maybe there's a spot upstairs for the super huge spa there it is the spa is going in that bin it's sticking through the wall it's ruined it all right it's too big maybe i'll put it on the roof at some point no out on the zipper yes we can just sit out here on the zipper and we can enjoy our spa okay i'm probably going to take that down for now it's ruining the entire zipper aesthetic okay okay i will throw down a little rug though and probably just get like some cheese yeah nice yeah that's really cool i like that okay let's do some painting i'm just gonna put some stripes down on this bit doesn't really matter too much the part that we put on top that's where it's gonna matter all right there we go get all this painted might even paint the stairs yeah looks good oh that's nice okay now i've got to start painting like a gray metal color so let's just go everything up top that you see from the outside has to look great everything i've got a paint under here somehow as well i'm doing single sided painting at the moment i think all right we'll get on top of this bit painted yes yes i haven't really seen any animals at the moment though except for the shark i was hoping a whale would show up where's your whale buddy the actual map in the top left-hand corner you can see parts that you've missed that's really good okay so let's just paint on the inside here i don't think it paints on yeah it definitely doesn't paint on both sides i'm gonna try and paint the back here oh that's dodgy everything is great can you imagine if i like i come around to actually turning the engines on and they don't work right after i've like glassed them in and everything oh that's gonna be bad i'm kinda a little bit worried about oh no i'm in the water okay that's fine probably a good time to start painting this man the reach that this guy has on this brush is amazing oh yeah nice it's a stingray hey hey buddy how's it going we're going to ride on his back let's go on his back okay wish i could just grab hold of his tail that'd be cool oh there's a shark are they going to battle i don't think they battle he's he's not gonna bite me he's on passive mode at the moment we're buds we're best of buds hey i've got like a little rudder thingy oh that's from the steering wheel i just noticed the stingray shows up on the map it's like an orange dot oh man it's not nice under here when the weather's crazy the waves are just like coming through my boat and stuff hang on a second all right set the weather back to normal now we're good okay i reckon we should fire up the engines and finally have a look what this thing looks like when it's hammer along the ocean just going to get a little streamer set up there we go that way i can make sure i'm going the right way yep we've got the wind behind us let's get this thing going why are the waves kicking up again yes are they all going the right way oh they are okay that's good that's good we're going the right way are we going fast i feel like we could be going faster like we might need some more engines okay let's do a massive jump okay super high jump to find out where we're at see what this thing looks like see if it looks like a giant zipper yes yes it does it looks like a zipper oh that's good it's exactly what i was hoping for i'm glad i put that like beveled edge around there you know what i mean oh no i'm in the water now i'm in the water they're gonna catch up to my boat oh hang on i can stop the engines from here that's fine i think i need some more engines though definitely need more engines oh my god the waves why are you back again okay let's see how i can fit some more engines on here maybe i could just overlap them like this is there something you can do i mean that appears to be working okay i somehow managed to jam extra like engines down the side very sketchy okay battery there uh do i have any more i've definitely got some more batteries man i'm just bleeding batteries this is good okay let's get another one uh okay do all these work oh yeah we are fanging along now this is good okay stop it it's too fast i need to get out of here okay we're going pretty fast now let's just have a look yes yes that's good oh yeah we're definitely unzipping the ocean now fantastic okay i think that's a success i'm gonna go ahead and put my hot top there set in it this is great i've got a zipper raft life is fantastic i've got all the engines i've got 16 engines on this thing that's how many like planks of wood that i've got in order to make this thing go fast you know the more wood you put on your raft the more engines you need to get maximum speed go ahead and rate my
