The Chicago Department of Aeronautics manages this enormous airport on the city's northwest
edge; it spans an impressive 7,627 acres. With four numbered passenger terminals and
213 gates, O'Hare is a hub of activity that will amaze you. As you walk through the nine concourses designated
by letters, you'll feel like you're in a small city with a life of its own. And did you know that O'Hare was the busiest
airport globally from 1963 until 1998 during the "Jet Era"? Talk about a blast from the past! O'Hare's layout accommodates the constant
flow of planes with two parallel runways on either side of the terminal complex. So, what's the cherry on top? As of November 2022, O'Hare had a record-breaking
68,340,619 passenger volumes and offered non-stop flights to 214 destinations worldwide. With about 3.6 million registered seats already
sold for early 2023, it's no wonder O'Hare is the ninth busiest airport in 2022. Nr.8 Guangzhou (China)

have already been registered! Nr.7 Istanbul Airport
Istanbul Airport is known for its modern and innovative design, featuring a large central
terminal building with a distinctive roof inspired by traditional Turkish architecture. The airport has several sustainability features,
such as a rainwater collection system and solar panels. Istanbul Airport is one of the largest airports
in the World, covering an area of 76.5 million square meters. It has five runways currently in use, and
one terminal, with a total capacity of up to 200 million passengers annually. In 2019 alone, Istanbul Airport had a whopping
68.7 million passengers. That's more than the entire population of
the United Kingdom! And the numbers keep growing. In 2021, Istanbul Airport handled more than
46 million passengers, making it the 12th busiest airport in the World regarding passenger
traffic. In 2022, the airport saw a significant passenger
increase compared to the previous year welcoming over 64 million passengers. So far, in early 2023, the Istanbul Airport
has registered more than 5.6 million seats. Nr.6 Denver International Airport (DEN)

United States? It covers a whopping 53 square miles, And
with 143 gates and six runways, one of them is the longest commercial runway in North
America, 4800 meters long. This hub for United Airlines and Frontier

representing a 75% increase from the 2020 pandemic, we all got locked up at home. And with over 69 million passengers served

including American Airlines and Spirit Airlines, and boasts five terminals and 165 gates! DFW is like a busy hive with seven runways
constantly buzzing with activity. DFW is not just big; it's also bustling with
people. In 2021, over 62 million passengers flew in
and out of the airport, making it the second-busiest airport in the World! That's a lot of people traveling to and from
the great state of Texas. And in just the first few months of 2023,
DFW has already seen over 3.8 million seats reserved for flights. Nr.4 London Heathrow Airport
This iconic airport is one of the largest and busiest in the World and a hub for international
travel. With over 200 destinations and over 80 airlines
flying to all corners of the globe, you can take your pick from an endless list of exotic
locations. The airport employs over 76,000 people, making
it one of the largest employers in the local area. Heathrow Airport has two main runways, which
are over 3,500 meters long. Despite the pandemic, Heathrow Airport saw
a whopping 19.4 million passengers in 2021, with domestic travel showing an incredible
rebound. In 2022, it was Europe's second-busiest airport,
with over 61.6 million passengers passing through its gates! And in 2023, it's already registered over
4 million seats, making it a popular destination for travelers. But Heathrow isn't just about the flights! The airport has excellent transport links,
including the Heathrow Express, which can get you to central London in just 15 minutes,
making it incredibly convenient. Nr.3 Tokyo Intl (Haneda)

to fly through Haneda Airport. Haneda Airport is essential not just for Japan's

airlines, Japan Airlines, and All Nippon Airways, making it a crucial link in connecting the
World to Japan and beyond. Nr.2 Dubai International
As the primary international airport serving Dubai, the largest city in the United Arab
Emirates, this airport has it all - from state-of-the-art infrastructure to being a hub for connecting
flights. With over 240 destinations served by 140 airlines,

and the Americas. In 2019, Dubai International Airport welcomed

handled 29.1 million passengers; And more than 66 million passengers moved through the
airport, known as DXB, in 2022, with more than 4.6 million seats already booked in early

increase the airport's capacity further. Nr.1. Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Intl Apt
Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is an absolute behemoth in air travel! Imagine a place where over 100 million people
pass through every year. And it's not just the abundant passengers;
the airport is also a hub for Delta Air Lines, which operates an incredible 1,000 flights
daily, connecting travelers to over 225 destinations worldwide. With five runways, the longest of which measures
3900 meters, and two terminals that cover a mind-boggling six million square feet, Atlanta
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is truly a city within a city. Unsurprisingly, it has held the title of the
World's busiest airport for many years, handling a record-breaking 110.4 million passengers
in 2019 alone. But the airport's impressive numbers don't
stop there. As of the end of February 2023, over 5 million
passengers have passed through its gates this year, proving that the airport's popularity
is showing no signs of slowing down. The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International
Airport retained its "world's busiest airport" title in 2022 and is the top spot on our list,
