today i want to show you this animation i made within daz studio and how you can do it as well using facial capture technology an iphone and or a webcam by the end of this video hopefully you'll have a very basic understanding of how face mojo and facial tracking works within that studio and you'll be able to create your own quick animations in less than five minutes so let's get started i'm using face motion 3d when you first open the app you're gonna notice a couple extra sliders on the side but you'll be able to edit these properties later and does you'll only be able to record for a maximum of five seconds with the free version but this is more than enough time for what we need to do after you finish recording you want to save it somewhere on your phone and name it accordingly so you can find it easier lady if this is your first time importing an fbx into daz you'll be greeted with some fbx import options by default it will choose the incorrect take to import so you'll just have to change the option from take 0 or to take whatever to take 0001 or take whatever take it is for your fbx file [Music] once both the fbx file and your character model are loaded into daz and then underneath the face mojo settings select bake animations and it'll begin the process [Music] and it's as easy as that if you want to remove the animations and try again or even use a different fbx file from any facial capture software you might be using just use the remove animations button right next to the bake animations button and then you can start over from step one [Music] this time let's take a look at some of the smoothing factor options that we get that we skipped over the first time these smoothing factors basically smooth out the head rotations and the facial morphs of say the eyeballs or even the lips if there is too much movement within there you can smooth it out and make it look a bit more natural instead of unnatural as it would probably look with more jittery movements with an unsmooth facial track [Music]
