we reveal 15 amazing stories of animal heroes who saved human lives a pitbull saved grandma and her grandchild an American Pit Bull Terrier named chief rescued 87 year old Victoria and her granddaughter Maria from a poisonous Cobra that entered their house through a hole in the kitchen Victoria was watching TV sitting on the couch when suddenly chief jumped up warning about the slithering menace Maria rushed with her grandmother to another room hoping that the snake would leave after a while she checked to see if the coast was clear only to find the snake lurking a mere 6 feet away the snake opened its hood and rushed to attack chief lunged into the cobras way grabbed it by the neck and slammed it on to the floor repeatedly killing the snake chief got a fatal bite to the jaw during the struggle and after a few moments he fell to the ground it was already too late to save him but this noble pitbull will be remembered a cat prevents a volcanic tragedy in Italy 1944 Mount Vesuvius awoke once more Vesuvius hadn't erupted in 80 years and no one was afraid of a dead volcano an old couple slept quietly in their house but their cat toto was in a frenzy he wouldn't eat and he repeatedly kept trying to escape the house at night he would even scratch the old man's face the wife took the cat's behavior as a sign and persuaded her husband to leave their home the old couple loaded up their essentials and drove to the wife's sisters who lived in a lava safe zone just one hour later Vesuvius exploded destroying the couple's house in a red-hot river of molten rock dolphins rescued swimmers from sharks in 2004 in the coastal waters of New Zealand four people escaped the jaws of death thanks to a group of dolphins and attacked by a great white shark was miraculously stopped for over 40 minutes the Dolphins protectively circled around the four swimmers until the massive shark lost interest at first the swimmers thought that the dolphins were just being playful but it wasn't long until they realized the impending danger that was stalking them in the water without any training these intelligent animals rescued four people from a devastating attack a dog rescued two girls a dog by the name of Kabang prevented a nearly tragic accident with several dozen witnesses two girls 11 year old Dina Bengal and her three-year-old cousin were playing in the street what they didn't notice was a motorcycle barreling toward them at full speed Kabang reacted quickly rushing toward the girls at full sprint Kabang tackled the side of the bike with just enough force to alter the vehicles trajectory the motorcyclist just barely missed a tragic collision and neither the biker nor the two girls were harmed Kabang was not so fortunate the bike had shattered nearly every bone in the front half of her body and the girl's family even had to retrieve some of the fragments from the pavement when they took the broken animal to the veterinarian the doctor advised putting the animal to sleep out of the question said Rudi bug all Dena's father after saving our daughters this was the least we could do for Kabang after a long program of surgeries and treatment Kabang eventually got back on her feet and became a mother herself a few months later when pigs swim Anthony the eleven-year-old son of Carroll Burke was saved from imminent death by the family Pig Priscilla they all went together to Lake Somerville in Texas Priscilla was very fond of water and swam well unlike Anthony who suffered from a delay in development while carol was putting things down Anthony ended up in the water and quite far from shore the pig reached the boy first Anthony grabbed hold of Priscilla but in his panic kept pulling Priscilla under with him in the end she managed to get to the surface with the out of breath boy on her back and she swam to the shore pigs have a good memory so even after all these years Priscilla still worries if she sees children near the water a cat sniffs out a car bomb in the Russian city of Novosibirsk a cat saved its owner a businessman from assassination she climbed under his car and just wouldn't come out when the man himself climbed under the car to retrieve his favorite pet he found a package attached to the bottom of the car he called the bomb squad who confirmed it was an improvised explosive device connected to a pager which they then diffused it turned out that the cat saved the owner with a half hour to spare before the possible tragedy a dog four C's of fatal future a dog named Jersey clung to the pants of its owner Tom Owen before attempting to depart in his friend's private plane usually quiet and calm the dog whined and growled menacingly frightening mr. Owen Jersey bit Tom on the foot anchoring the whole family and sending the owner on an unexpected trip to the emergency room Tom never got on the plane and the next morning everyone found out that Tom's friend had crashed the plane into the side of a mountain an elephant saved a girl during a tsunami eight year old amber Owen was on vacation with her parents in Phuket Thailand during the devastating 2004 tsunami when the wave hit the girl was riding on her favorite elephant Nene on her faithful pachyderm steed on instinct ran immediately to a safe zone carrying the girl on her back if Amber had stayed on the beach she surely would have been swept away forever by the rushing force of the massive wave none of the trees or houses survived but thanks to Nene Ong amber made it out safely my kitty senses tingling in early October 1967 Yugoslavian newspapers couldn't get enough of this story in a small town by the name of Aurelia stana drip ovitch a student at the local school brought her cat Marco to school with her that day at kindergarten near her house stana sat down at the table outside to study marco climbed in her lap and lay down comfortably purring softly but suddenly he jumped on the table his hair stood on end and he yelled furiously stana tried to calm him down completely unaware of the danger she pushed him off the table and frustration but he immediately jumped up again squinting and hissing at the wall above Stannah the girl looked up and froze in horror directly above her head wrapped in a grapevine hung a snake Marco left onto the vine and grabbed the snake both animals tumbling to the ground a savage fight raged on until finally Marco managed to grab the Viper by the neck and bite its head clean off that's one super kitty a pitbull fire rescue another pitbull saved a 13 year old death American teenager from a fire the sudden blaze could have ended tragically for Nick lamb from Indianapolis as the boy lived with a severe hearing impairment the fire started in the dead of night Nick and his pet dog ace were alone in the house and Nick had taken off his hearing aids before falling asleep when a stray lized the danger he climbed into bed and woke Nick by licking his face Nick arose in a sleepy fog but the boy could smell the smoke and immediately covered his face with a t-shirt he escaped the burning home with a sinto a cat saved an abandoned child one night an English family took in a freezing cat that was on their porch over time he regained his strength and the family decided to keep him naming him slowly cat every evening he would prowl the streets but always return home soon after but one night he didn't return the temperature dropped 12 degrees below zero that night and his worried owners went looking for him they searched for him all night with no luck but saw a plastic bag laying near their doorstep in the morning when they got home slowly cat emerged from the back but quickly ducked back in when the family investigated further they found a baby boy the cat had been warming the infant's body all night long the family rushed the child to the hospital where he was well cared for a dolphin rescued a drowning boy in August 2000 a dolphin named Flippo became the hero of man Fredonia italy after saving the fourteen-year-old david ceci from drowning the boy who couldn't swim had fallen from his father's boat and began to sink he was already close to death when a dolphin noticed him and hurried to the rescue the dolphin began to push david back to the boat so his father could reach him his father picked up his son in his arms pulling david to safety [Music] a felines noble sacrifice this story took place more than ten years ago in the small village of vis lesney bullyin ovis Cretan Russia a group of drug addict thieves invaded a 49 year old man's home demanding money however the poor villager didn't have any saving the robbers broke into a rage and one even grabbed an axe the man would have been killed if not for his brave cat named Vaska the cat rushed at the robber clawing at his face and eyes disoriented from the sudden attack the Bandit jumped back and the owner took advantage of the struggle to make his escape out into the street he returned with the police but the house was empty all except for Vaska who lay lifeless on the floor the man never forgot vaska's bravery and put up a memorial to remember him a parrot saved a baby from suffocating a colita or monk parrot named Willy was awarded a Red Cross in 2009 for saving the life of a small child he was the only one who saw that little Hannah was choking on breakfast he began to wave his wings shouting mom child his cries were heard by the child's mother who rushed to save her baby with the help of the Heimlich maneuver a cat and a family survives a war during World War two a cat named Vasya helped a family survive the Leningrad blockade during the 900 day blockade according to various sources anywhere between 400,000 to 1.5 million people died only 3% of them died from bombing and shelling the remaining 97% died of starvation exposure and disease people had no food no medicine and nowhere else to go everyday Vasya went hunting for mice rats and other small game leaving the vast majority for the family the grandmother cleaned the mice to put in soup and even made a mean goulash with large rats the cat always sat patiently for its portion all for huddled under one blanket at night and stayed warm together Vasya could also sense bombers much earlier than the air-raid sirens
