the first season of the sugar show is about to roll 3 weeks UFC 299 everything's going so good the stage is set for Miami Florida city of Miami seems tailor made for this match up between you and Cheeto a stacked card several popular fighters participating handpicked opponents one title defense and the bantamweight division will take off is what Dana White probably hopes there's just one problem though that handpicked foe happens to be the Wild Card of the division what you want to get dudes you don't get booy before your famous you [ __ ] [ __ ] at UFC 299 sha Ali defends his newly won title against the only man to quote unquote beat him in the UFC Marlon Chito Vera the next step in the lightweight division unfolds another veteran set to taste another new monster on the rise no one else wanted to fight this cat a long awaited UFC introduction for a veteran striking specialist who gets welcomed by on paper one of his best matchups if he does go to distance he's going to be a hot mess two featured belts with the same setting Prospect versus actual contenders Jesus Christ I'll need to take a breather in between welcome to the fighting business become a legend Champion or Contender on tfb's patreon to get access to exclusive content editing breakdowns music playlists thumbnails and extra clips that didn't make it to the channel and I hope I helped you as much as possible to pick the right song understand how to use it understand the emotion understand how to transition each song together for now though it's time for the UFC 300 before the actual 300 seriously we very rarely see a card this good where every bout on the pay-per-view card can serve as a headliner for a Fight Night the stage really a set and I'll be damned if I don't go through the whole main card five incredible fights and a lot to unpack so here it goes fighting bus this is one of my favorite new channels going right now P Yan versus son Yong opening up the pay-per-view card is a bamwe clash between son dong and former Champion P Yan God that hurts to say a few years ago when Yan beat the [ __ ] out of Aldo to become Champion the future seemed so bright but he landed a knee that would disrupt his whole career just a straight knee to the face while you're on the ground yeah w super unfortunate it was a illegal technique all over the world the first two losses to aljo and Sean but we had our excuses but that loss to morab was awful and you really don't know where he is mentally maybe a drop down in competition for Yan for his next fight but no they booked him against another killer Sona dong Pap uh Pap said he's the next champion after he win he feels all right because you tell this to him every day in the team a 26-year-old who has been a part of the UFC since 2017 and has 30 professional fights this dude has been doing some serious work work and with UFC looking to expand into China you best believe a victory over a former champion and the kung fu kid is in title hunt are you told the everybody I want to fight peteran know he posted the emoji means the fight is was boring but his last fight was was boring too [ __ ] like [ __ ] skill for skill I'd say Yan is the better technical fighter but this being a three- round fight ain't good for Yan at this stage against an opponent like song Yan cannot afford to start slow this is Crossroads for him and against a guy who has enough technique to contend with him and the cardio to sustain a pace for the entire fight Yan loses the first round and ends up on a back foot he'll be staring at the fourth straight L on his previously Immaculate record and he'll be a stepping stone to launch song into title contention Gilbert Burns versus Jack DEA Melina up next a welterweight Prospect versus veteran Showdown pitting Gilbert Burns versus JDM the fight that you got coming up you're an elite veteran versus a you know a young Contender what do you think of this he it's been like that for a while now last time we saw Gilbert Burns he was one hairline fracture away from permanent retirement he risked it all against balal and maybe it was due to overtraining but he lost the fight and his body kind of gave up nearly a year of rest and recovery and burns is headed back to the cage welcoming a hyped Prospect in Jack DEA Melina but when you look at those welterweight rankings is there a specific name that raises your eye BR a little bit that you'd like to fight with in the future to be honest all of them some folks were questioning and concerned about his fight IQ after the split decision Victor overz but I think he got back on the right track after the win over Kevin Holland screw the split decision Jack comfortably won and he didn't like IQ in that fight at all yes a new era of the division now the UFC is fast tracking him to the top of the division and former title Challenger Gilbert Burns will be his toughest test the date need to go back to the win column you know so I need to go out there and get a spectacular win against Jack Melina and then I'll be back maybe one more fight to fight for the title that's my my main goal and uh and that that's that's going to happen you know like Burns has an obvious path to Victory here and he has implemented the said game plan numerous times in the past pressure grapple mix it up from time the time and with his cardio Burns can keep this going until the end that is if he doesn't run into too many Jabs JDM has one of the best Jabs in the division this guy's boxing is Sensational we can't bring up JDM without talking about the standing boxing skills of this guy right I mean and all his ground game is lacking in comparison his standup is Elite I just see this matchup being a little bit of a nightmare for Gilbert burn and in recent times Burns has shown a tendency to just stand in trade and against someone on the rise and 10 years younger than him that tendency could be his undoing Kevin Holland versus Michael Venom page Heaven Holland versus Michael Venom pagee after the two relevant fights at 35 and 170 we move on to a fight that is made for us a striking match up between two highly entertaining Specialists a guaranteed just bleed spectacle Michael Venom pige versus Kevin Holland we saw what happened like him and Wonderboy basically had you know agreement to not take the fight to the ground I know for a fact Kevin holl is not going to want to do that agreement again after the the whooping that he took against Steven Wonder Boy uh Thompson do y'all want me to recap what MVP did outside the UFC no well a brief recap at least this guy should have been in the UFC 5 six years ago when he was considered an Untouchable beast but he lost a few times more recently to Mike Perry and bear knuckle and he was exposed well not really exposed but you found out that his chin wasn't granite and that as skilled as he was he was undoubtedly beatable but the UFC knows how to play this Michael Venom Paige he was signed with the UFC not with the pfl MVP is 36 years old and the last thing you want to do is put him up against the grappler and see the fight play out against the fence I doubt he's here to become the greatest welterweight ever he's here to put on a show and there is no better partner for him than Kevin Holland and I think on paper that's a tremendous match up both tall long Strikers he's an entertaining guy Kevin Holland doesn't care about chasing after gold he'll take on contenders and Prospects but what Holland really want to do is put on the show as well but I think I fell down in the first round he let me back up he told me in the first round he's like not taking you down like all right man sounds good to me he won't shoot takedowns he won't clinch against the fence making him an ideal fit to welcome MVP into the UFC both are superb Strikers with a right hand as a weapon of Destruction but MVP in terms of technique is a step ahead of Kevin Holland I just see it time and time again even even in in the gym there's guys I've sparred in the gym that are renowned Strikers and they they I know they come in here thinking you know yeah I'm definitely going to get him and you know a minute in they're already shooting while Holland prefers to box Michael paage can kick as well as he can throw hands and even at this age the guy is fast as hell but that said Remember the part about his chin not being the best well Holland has never been knocked out in his career we know Kevin Holland can take a punch to the face but how many before he crumbles Michael Paige will be one step ahead on the feet but for how long it'll be a must-watch show however long this last Dustin porier versus benois Deni in the co Main Event Dustin por offers a shot to the new blood at 155 Dustin poier is back in Action okay against Francis own benan Den this is an incredible fight we've seen a handful of these matchups over the past few years and most of the time the Old Guard prevailed Dustin poier most likely the most popular 155 pounder on the roster right now was long accused of sitting on his Rank and truth be told he has and only fought the more well-known names but after the head kick lost to Justin gatei and another step back in the title hunt party wants to know whether he still got it you know the meme you know you know the meme with the dog looking in the mirror and he's like I still got do I check me checking to see if I still got that dog in me five rounds March 9th and he is definitely going to get an answer when he's in there with benoa st I would love to face Dustin P because uh he's obviously the mo most realistic fight it will be a great fight too for has been successful and popular for a very long time now he's decently popular and retaining and he gives everyone hell but that loss to Justin Gat he might have changed something considering the wars for has gone through and how long he's been at it getting knocked out by Justin gagei doesn't bode very well and considering these circumstances fighting benois of all people might be the final nail in the coffin Ben wand the people of France love this man of course he is a patriot he fought in the French Special Forces so you got to imagine some of the things that he's seen so fighting in the Octagon against another man that's just that's like a walk in the the part for this man while por is coming in unsure of whether he still has it or not B say Den is in destruction mode he has just one loss short note his debut at 170 but every lightweight that faces him ends up brutalized not a single decision so far and none of these UFC lightweights have made it past the second round they're all good at 155 skilled and whatnot but a select few just have a pension for violence are more hungry and benois is one of those guys you're Fearless you don't does anything areare you I feel we've been here before with rapael versus Justin new gu is a Savage old gu is trying to keep up and it's largely the same here while this is a dangerous match up for pory after a knockout there's also no denying that pory is a massive step up for benois from Matt fol at a Dustin [ __ ] porier Dustin is a specialist in the boxing Department if he can keep this fight where he wants it and go into those later rounds this is the five round a fair guys this isn't a three rounder this is where Dustin live but the top five at lightweight comprises the very best fighters into business and very few can replicate the same success when they end up in the cage with a Dustin porier with 25 minutes allotted to this Co main pory has plenty of time to test the skill and grid of the new guy and expose him if he doesn't match up he's only 34 right now I think Dustin still has some good years ahead of him if he chooses to fight that long or maybe it doesn't go five round maybe not even three and ston a competent Striker who mixes up takedowns just puts the pressure on pory and chokes him out as great as Dustin is he tends to Str against people who can strike and wrestle but again there are levels and in the co Main Event we'll get a good idea about what levels these two lightweights operate at sha Ali versus Marlon Vera at last you have the main event The Chosen One the guy worthy and capable of uplifting the division sha Ali gets his chance at Redemption against Marlon Vera you both have fought there's some dispute on your end as to what happened towards the end of the fight let's settle it oh I can't wait at the top of the mountain with the biggest prize at stake about four years ago these two came face to face in the coming event of UFC 252 and om Ali was a favorite to win and keep his undefeated record going looking back om Ali was getting the better of the exchange on the feat but kick after kick from Vera punches until the referee stepped in W for Cheeto Vera but definitely tainted and a rematch had to follow I said I said I'm not counting that as a lot that [ __ ] was [ __ ] like it was yeah it was freak accident I didn't feel like he beat me skill for skill but their path diverged Marlon Vera who had gained notable traction for being the first guy to defeat Ali lost his very next fight against Jose Aldo and lost a good bit of fanfare was this guy really a top Contender it was time to find out Vera went on a pretty impressive win streak knocking out Legends such as Frankie Edgar and Dominic Cruz but the actual Elite Contender Cory San Haagen handled them pretty easily don't pay attention to the asinine Split Decision San Haagen ended the championship dreams of ver that night yeah he won against Pedro but fat chance he was going to challenge for the title anytime soon unless Shao Ali handled his first loss like Ronda Rousey he never really lost you know the result was overturned by the athletic Commission in his head and Sean did he he got lucky I talked to the sugar State athletic commission and they took it away seeing this display many were convinced that the corporate project was broken and the OM Ali show was over before it began and un fortunately for them Ali hasn't lost since Shawn rebounded well after the controversial loss and kept beating up subpar competition up until UFC 280 when it was time to step up or shut up ideally I go out there put his lights out early that's what everyone up here wants to do uh ready for 15 minutes though I'm going to smash Peter how about that is that a better answer that night in Abu Dhabi he faced the most feared bantamweight at the time P Yan the decision was close and personally I thought Yan edged it but no one could deny that Shawn belonged at at the very top I mean I think the people would love to see me be the bwe champion so we'll give the people what they want the victory over Yan was all the UFC needed to see and Ali rested for a year came back as a big Underdog and knocked out the most credential bantamweight [Applause] ever if anyone had lingering doubt in regards to his skill that Sterling Koo silenced them all and Dana White probably the happiest man in the building wrapped their belt around his newest Mega star who had netted him a million pay-per-view buys these are the numbers that this guy was trying to say like he's this big pay-per-view star I'm just like yeah that didn't happen and so the UFC went this route stacked a car to an Unholy level get Dustin porya as the co main event and pick Cheeto Vera and present omali as a mega star when he is actually not to be honest Cheo is far from deserving and he is only here because om Ali chose him due to his prior history but on paper this matchup is fun and might as well get this over with right now so screw it here it goes I wanted an easy fight for the defense and I picked Cheeto no I don't think it's going to be an easy fight I do think it's going to be an easy fight though from their first meeting and the fight that played out since it's clear that sha Ali is the better Striker dislike him for pretending to be a star all you want but this guy is one hell of a striker and he Snipes people with pinpoint precision and surprising strength home Ali also throws at a fairly high output while Marlin Vera doesn't throw often and he cannot go strike for strike with om Ali but this guy is invulnerable to cuts and damage and this time around he has 25 minutes 25 minutes 1 hour of cardio and a [ __ ] ton of durability to stock Ali all over the cage and lend one shot to knock him out cold or maybe he messes up his nerve again but my point is om Al can Style on him for 24 minutes and 59 seconds but 1 second of carelessness and Cheeto Vera messes him up I'm going to get that Bell I'm going to go through him I'm going to stop him and I'm going to be world champion power versus speed skill versus Brute Force two dudes who dislike each other and must settle it before the division gets crazy again manufactured sure but this Feud needs closure and at USC 299 it'll be over is this the end of the road for Pon does JDM really have it can MVP overcome both octagon Jitters and Kevin Holland is benois s any different from the other lightweights and can sha Al Avenge the only asterisk on his record questions will be answered at UFC 299 get YouTube SEO Master Class editing breakdowns all previous and upcoming videos music playlist downloadable thumbnails
