city you fought for the title and uh you fought for the title of course before in 2018. i'm just curious if there were kind of any lessons anything that you took out of that fight week or that experience that you can apply here to help you get over the hump this time around i'm just trying harder this time around you know [ __ ] i got to represent houston no elastic derek i know you said that you know you kind of see cyril as a boring fighter but is there anything that he does that's that's dangerous or that you're concerned with in this matchup no i'm not concerned with nothing you got [Music] cyril i'll ask you two i mean obviously a big moment in your career big stage big press conference what's what's your emotion like right now wow i'm a little bit nervous that's that's cool that's cool that's my first time but i'm okay i'm okay very nice big opportunity but uh honestly you have a child coming in a couple of weeks i'm wondering has this been a difficult time for you to focus on on the fight only when you know you've got big things happening in your family as well at first it was a little bit difficult but now i did my choice and now i'm really focused on my target and i hope just my my daughter gonna waiting for me nice and your last two fights very dominant wins but decisions um and you got some criticism for it so i'm curious do you feel like you can't just win here you've got to get a knockout or a big finish so people really look at you as a champion yeah some people like this this style but for me it's really not my style and when you look at guys like mayweather or some some some fighter like this nobody talk about this but like that but i'm a young fighter i'm going to do my way and the people are going to like me like i am maybe they won't boo you afterwards we'll see because if they wanted to ask you uh nine and one in your last ten you know but when people talk about the the title if you're not in that top level of names yet do you feel disrespected at all that maybe people aren't putting you in there with those other top fighters in the division man uh you know i don't really care about respect or not i care about my doing my job going out there putting on the best fights i can and i know the fans respect my fighting style that's what i'm gonna bring every single time and i think now i'm getting a great opponent michael's a tough guy coming off four wins so this is a big fight and i think one of us you know whoever wins is definitely going to be in that title picture [Music] and with that in mind do you feel like it's important again like not just to go out there and get a win but to go do something dominant like really make a statement here so that maybe they're talking about your name a little bit more man every every single time i got to do something dominant and that's what i do every single fight you know i go out there and throw everything i can i try to finish every single fight i think i've only one of my wins wasn't by finish so that's what i'm going to do saturday night that's what i'm going to do every single fight i get in there my god i'll ask you i mean longest win streak of your of your ufc career right now i mean it just seems like everything's clicking what what's the key to your success right now welterweight you know when i was killing myself to make 155 pounds now i'm able to train adequately absorb the knowledge more and took a lot of maturing as well i think that as i got older i kind of kind of just grew up a little bit and just kept myself a little more a little more humble and i think that that's really paid off i'm not i'm not focused on what comes next i'm not gonna let my pride get in the way i'm going to stay focused on the moment i'm going to stay humble maintain my humility and i think that's very important going into this fight that said you said i don't want to look forward i don't want to say what i'm guaranteeing anything but do you feel like it's important to not just get a win but to go out there because your last one was a very dominant win right but you didn't get the finish i know it's tough to finish neal maddie but you feel like you got to go out there and not just win but you have to get a finish to prove what you deserve uh winning is everything you know and a fight fight winstry could be great but like i said i'm not going to let my pride get in the way of me looking ahead at what comes after vicente luke i'm going to stay humble like i said i'm going to stay in the moment maintain my humility and just take it one day at a mature i've left the ufc come back stronger come back uh more educated on the ground educated in my striking game and my footwork um i'm just a better all-around fighter and i feel like my last six fights have proved that and um yeah we'll see what happens you said yesterday that you wanted to make sure this fight was exciting what do you have to do to make that happen on saturday um just put the pressure on uh try to hit her more than she hits me try to keep her stuck more than she can keep me stuck i think the main reason our first fight was born was because i didn't know how to get up i was i was even holding her on top of me so she couldn't hit me so like being more aggressive being more dominant we're both going to come at it so i'm ready to put it on at this time and for teisha have you seen improvements from angela that makes you feel that she'll be able to do that she'll be able to combat your wrestling i've definitely seen it well hello everybody hi [Music] i've emerged as maybe the best division in the ufc you know pedro and jose are out here too um casey do you think that that bantamweight has kind of eclipsed those divisions and now bantamweight is the number one division in the ufc yeah exactly you know it's been uh first time in history really the lightweight's got uh some respect and you know this is one of the best divisions in the ufc and that's the division i want to be a part of what about you song do you think that bantamweight is now the best division in the ufc yes it is thanks a lot i appreciate your brevity uh for vicente uh i know that if you beat if you beat michael on saturday night you'll be very close to a title shot but there's another guy that i know that you've talked about he's talked about you and that's nate diaz i was wondering if you win might you call out nate diaz on saturday night and i'm always down to fighting atheists uh i think that's the kind of fight that will always excite me will always you know make me train harder and yeah if that fight happens i said it before uh he likes five five five rounds we could go six rounds seven rounds how many rounds he wants and that's that would be a pleasure for me and would you want to do that before the end of the year do you think before the end of the year yeah i mean i i gotta focus on this fight first i got kiessa i don't know how i'm gonna get out the fun in that in houston waiting for a knockout from derek lewis but instead i'm going to give a good master class to very close it's been hard to find a point of comparison for sedogan in the ufc's heavyweight division given the way he moves oh i mean that was so fast such a big man the speed of him we rarely see a guy that moves so lightly on his feet and a guy who's so technical he's looking for the heel hook wow this guy can do it all whether that be heel hooks take down wrestling but we're using his poi tie on the feet oh god flattens junior dos satos and that is it this guy really is the limit for this guy absolutely dominant my goal for this sport put my name on the history of the ufc i just want to be one of the best in this world [Music] he's well-rounded and it looks pretty
