UC Berkeley PhD student suffers violent death in Mexico

As his family says he drove across the Arizona border into the Mexican state of Sonora on July. On June 17th, on the 22nd, authorities found his body. He had been shot seven times and was still inside of his SUV. Mexican authorities say they are investigating his death. His family says they begged him not to go to such a dangerous place.
