Two Products That Have Transformed My Lashes!

[Music] hi and welcome to today's video it's always good to see you and it's really good when I have something exciting to share a product that's been doing wonders for me something I've been trying I've been a little below the radar with this I wanted to wait and see how it worked before I gave it my full review and I have to say so far so good little backstory with this I have always struggled with my lashes I was not gifted with long thick dark lashes it's just not in my gene pool and on top of it the tips of my lashes almost turned blonde really doesn't help the situation when it comes to making them look long and thick anyway as you know I have done lash extensions which I really enjoyed and we'll talk about the pros and cons of this lash extensions and all of that they worked the upkeep was a little tricky for me and therefore I had to stop doing it and which led to my experiment with this product also not only long lashes but but trying to create a healthy natural lash line that is my own and that's ultimately everyone's goal because we can all put falsies on we can all get lash extensions but really isn't it just dreamy to have long healthy natural lashes that your own body is producing so there are many many products on the market that claim to help with lash length and making lashes look thicker and longer and one of those products is by Rodin Enfield's it's their lash boost and I bought this I would say about four and a half weeks ago so I've been using it roughly for weeks and they say that you get you start to see results in four weeks they say optimum is eight weeks and it is a very simple product to use it has the formula on the inside with a little brush and at night time before you go to bed you sweep a very thin layer right along your top lash line on both sides you wipe off any excess and you go to bed and that's it and it definitely as they say improves the lash of volume and length for 100% real lashes the only downside to this product is that it contains almond extract so if you have a nut allergy that may be a problem for you but I have in the past four weeks I have definitely noticed a difference and I will push in and get closer when I combine this with another product that I've been using and really really happy with this but again this product this Rodan and fields lash boost is a hundred and fifty dollars now it is up there no question about it in comparison to doing lash extensions this is still on the cheaper side because lash extensions can cost about that much for your first set of lashes and then you've got to go about every three or four weeks for refills this product will last you at least two months so budget wise this is still a better deal and again it will help you grow your own lashes they even say you can use it on your eyebrows as well to help grow in more and longer well I don't know if you want longer eyebrow hair but maybe more eyebrow hair so anyway this is definitely working so now what I did was I combined the lash boost with a brand new mascara that I found and this one is by thrive cosmetics and it's called liquid lash extensions mascara and I saw this advertised I think on my facebook page and I was really intrigued because they showed a video of a before and after and I liked the fact that this is a vegan product it uses fibers and Korean plant extracts to add length and curl and volume without the glue without having to use falsies well I have to tell you that using this and then using this is creating the exact same look as when I had lash extensions and to prove it after I apply this mascara I will show you a before picture and my before meaning a photo of me with lash extensions just put on and then I will take a photo of look simply with the mascara and you can compare the two and then we'll talk about pros and cons of each but I'm going to push in and we'll start we'll do two coats of this mascara and you will see how instantly it takes what look to be average looking lashes into the stratosphere so you're ready to push in and start applying some mascara okay let's do it alright here we go with the beyond lash extensions mascara says it won't clump flake or smear they recommend using two coats and you can actually build on the back side and then the front side and if you go deep into the lash base it really helps with curl so I'm going to get my handy makeup mirror here and start applying so you can see but it instantly grabs a hold of the lashes that I have and you can quickly tell that my lashes are very light in color because they are quickly coming to life as I put on this mascara that's just one coat right there just watch okay there's one coat on each eye I'm going in for the second round - now mind you I'm only four weeks in with the lash boost so I can't imagine after another four weeks of using it what these things are going to look like and in full disclosure I don't have a before picture to show you because I started using the lash boost after I stopped doing the eyelash extensions and an all fairness when you do eyelash extensions afterwards there can be some shedding of your own eyelash and so my eye lashes were pretty short and a little bit thin and it wasn't an accurate representation of what my own natural lash line looked like so I figured it might be best just to show you a comparison of what the extensions look like and then what this looks like so you can see how you can create a look that replicates eyelash extensions with your own eyelashes okay that's the second coat can you see how thick and full Behar I mean for me I have to tell you that's a lot of lash that's truly a lot of lash for two coats of mascara and that's it I do feel like I have the same look as when I had lash extensions kind of fascinating actually and a little bit shocking so okay so I'm going to take a snapshot of this and you can take a look I'll put on the left hand side when I have my eyelash extensions on the right hand side will be this look with the Rodan and fields lash boost combined with the Thrive cosmetics liquid lash extensions mascara that goes for $24 so all in these two together are roughly 175 dollars and you know the the lash boost will last you a couple of months and the mascara will last you a couple of months as well so you can sort of amortize that and then compare that to what you would expend would spend for say lash extensions or false eyelashes or things like that and you can figure out what's best but I have to say it's it's pretty nifty being able to have your own lashes that are long and can create the look of extensions and falsies on your own I love that I guess the next thing would be to then dye them because they are so light in color that you could actually see the length that that's a whole other video right there is it not I've had no side effects or irritation they say that with the lash boost if you get a little bit of redness or irritation just to not use the product for a little while and then revisit so again you know that's something that you have to see how it reacts with your skin and and all of that but so far so good I'm I'm a happy camper I love and I'm so intrigued by the thrive cosmetics line they are vegan and they are very very cautious and careful as to what they put into their products and I am becoming more and more savvy to keeping it clean and not only my diet but also my cosmetics and I think it's wonderful when you can find products that really do a great job that are conscious of chemicals and what it is that we are putting on and in our body so you know my two thumbs up for companies that are going that route because it's so important for us to you know try to be as less toxic as we possibly can you know all of these things do have health consequences okay here are your pros and cons your pros of doing lash extensions are you wake up in the morning to a full set of lashes your eyes are bright they're open you look like you have makeup on and yet you really don't number two the pro to lash extensions is it cuts your time in putting on makeup you completely eliminate the step of having to do mascara or false eyelashes the cons meaning it takes twice as long to remove your eye makeup because you can't get any oils or eye makeup remover products that you normally use on your lashes so you're having to work around that and also the upkeep having to go every three to four weeks and the expense with that so your pros of using these to your own lashes it takes a little while to build them up but eventually they are yours and yours to keep again you're using a product with the Thrive cosmetics that is a vegan product it's healthy it lasts it doesn't flake clump or smudge you can remove it with normal eye makeup removers so that's a great thing the cons of potential allergy to the product itself especially the Rodin Enfield's lash boost again I mentioned it does have almond extract in it so if you have a nut allergy that may be an issue also some women develop redness along the eyelid or itchiness and that can cause a problem so there's no guarantee that a lash boost will work but what I will tell you is this I cannot find a con with the thrive cosmetics lash extensions mascara so for $24 to me this is a win-win it's a great product and yeah there you have it so comments and suggestions if you are using any kind of a lash product that you feel is working for you please let us know there are many many out there at different price points so I think we can all help each other in this area and you know I mean this is probably the tenth mascara I have demoed on this channel because I I hop around and there are many good mascaras out there but so far this one is providing the greatest length and separation as I come into focus here of my lashes and I think it's great like I said they are conscious of what they put in their product so two companies that do
