Hi, I'm Bryan. And in this video I'll introduce you to Analog Lab 4, Arturia's latest all-in-one keyboard and synth instrument. Analog lab 4 gives you instant access to over 6500 sounds, from 23 historic different instruments, all found in Arturia's critically acclaimed V Collection software. This includes pianos, organs, famous synths, quircky samplers, tapes and string machines. All reproduced using our own exclusive modeling technology. Let me take you through the software and show you some of the features that you will find in this new version. When you open up analog lab 4 first go to settings and select your audio interface and MIDI controller. The software integrates perfectly with our MiniLab and KeyLab controller range and works great with controllers from other brands too. Once the basic setup is done. We're ready to explore the full potential of our sounds. The main view is built around four main sections. Browser on the left, presets in the middle, the instrument view on the right and visual keyboard with mapped parameters in the lower part. To pick a sound, simply browse through one of the main tabs : synths, pianos or organs. You can search for the sounds by the categories, Instruments, types, styles and designers. That's how easy it is. Let's go for CZ V. When ready, simply move to the middle part of the preset list and decide which one you want to work with, Let's have a look at a few sounds from the list. Sound lists can also be viewed by the designer, type, instrument or your favorite picks. You can add presets as favorites by clicking the heart icon. This will let you collect and find them easily within the lists. We can also browse the sounds using the arrows next to the preset name on top. Once we've picked one, we're ready to play. If you want to clear our sounds and start from scratch you can do it by clicking the "clear all" button near the search engine. Within Analog Lab, you are not limited to play only one sound. We can add another sound source to the original by clicking the "plus" icon. And then picking a different preset to go along with it. It is also possible to work in multi mode. When choosing that tab, we gain access to all the presets that contain two sounds. Playing them can be rarely satisfying as they are layered together, which often result in a big and emotional tone just like this one. Another great thing is that we can split these sounds on our keyboard. To do so, go to the mixer section and then click the MIDI settings button. Here you are presented with a few notes options and two colorful stripes which represent each sound. To set up the area of the keyboard that a certain sound will cover, simply grab the edge of the stripe and then by moving it to the left or right it decides which notes will correspond to the preset number one and two. Just like I'm doing it now. The left part of the keyboard plays one sound and the right plays another one. The variations here are limitless. Outside of all these great options the latest version adds new features that will let you work and perform even more efficiently. One of them is the new and amazing array of 10 studio effects. That take these already marvelous sounds to another level. To start using them, pick a sound and then click on the add effects button at the top right corner. Choose your favorite one and apply it to the signal transforming it from its dry form to the cosmic wet TAE craziness. Let's add a delay on top of our mystic pluck preset and set the timing to sixteenth dotted and change the feedback value to 0.8. This is how it sounds Effects engine parameters are also available on the visual keyboard in the section "live/mixer". By default you can change the send and track levels there. But it's also possible to map any of the effects parameters to the live mixer controls. Another new feature which will immediately turn into your secret weapon, is the concerts mode. It lets you save presets along with effects and mix settings. A sequential patcher that you can organize into songs and sets. To start using it let's choose one of the sounds from the browser on the left. Then, let's add another one to create a richer sonic feeling. Now we can unfold the orange tab called concerts. The next step allows us to create our performance based on two chosen sounds. You can give it a name too. Now the next step is called "go on stage". Inside of it we can play the instruments as well as control their parameters and effects. We can easily change the sounds from the concert list simply by using the central knob on the KeyLab MkII Let's have a listen to a few of them while changing the parameters from the KeyLab. All the changes that you make to preset inside a concert mode can be saved inside of it and you can also reload the setting after unwanted actions. One of the more interesting new features is the machine learning algorithm. It allows us to find a sonic inspiration based on previously chosen sounds. Simply find and click the recommendation icon next to the preset name, and you will be presented with all the sounds that are similar to it. This is how it works. Let's listen to see how accurate this function is. After a lot of valuable information, let's play some presets from our legendary collection of amazing instruments. On top of all the new fantastic functionalities, we are always curious for the new sounds. This desire can be fulfilled with the use of our amazing sound store that allows you to get new sonic inspirations on-the-fly. When inside, you're welcome to explore many types of sound banks. Tribute packs pay homage to the classic bands while others like signatures are curated from many famous V collection users. Richard Devine, Sasha or Maxime Dangles amongst others. Let me show you how it works. Accessing the store is done by clicking on the store icon in the top right corner. Each sound bank page consist of all the valuable information about it : The designer, the name, type of the sound, its description, used instruments, price and finally a list of all the presets included with their individual comments. You can always access and play a few of them from here and have a general idea of what the sound pack is like. As you can see the navigation process throughout the store is very easy. We can find now another bank and check its sounds. All of the above and much more is available in the latest version of Analog Lab 4, Make sure to explore it to its fullest potential Have lots of fun and thanks for watching.
