TURNING $1 into $1000 in NYC! (Day 1)

I have $100 you know so many people dream of moving to a big city of traveling to a new country or just overall living an extraordinary life but when people see the cost of doing the things they dreamt of it's almost like a switch instead of being excited to reach their dream to accomplish their dream to realize their dream they get stressed and anxious so today I woke up and had a thought could I turn this one dollar into a thousand dollars in just five days literally going head-on aggressively every single day to fund my dream okay so about 9:00 a.m. and then I can just feel this is going to be an absolutely epic challenge currently I just have one dollar but soon hopefully much much more now rules for how I can make this $1 turn into a thousand they're pretty simple basically I can do anything I want just pertaining around that most people or everybody can really do this thing so nothing super complex just something that takes maybe a little bit of thought or a bit of hard work so to start us off there's these stores all around New York City and pretty much all around the world that sells secondhand items basically what's called a thrift store or secondhand store and at these stores they offer items at incredibly low prices once in a while you can find a deal that's epic and then flip it on sites like Craigslist so right now I'm going to my closest thrift store to see if they have something there for a dollar too much way too much not that either now this this is a potential section that I can work with so basically what I'm doing right now is trying to find products that one have a barcode and two preferably unopened and basically I'm doing that because I have this app here that scans every barcode of every product to see if it comes at a good value if I can resell it personally or online so for example something like this okay yet is $5.99 which is way way out of our budget but just so you guys can see how the app works what we're going to be doing I'll show you guys this on the open comes a 1384 on Amazon and they're selling it for just $5.99 so basically double the profit all the pain of just having one dollar well let's see if they have anything else here that just costs a dollar ninety-nine cents okay so let's see if any of these come at any specific crazy value two dollars okay eight dollars okay so it looks like 1999 New York Yankees VCR is my first fine my first purchase this is what I'm spending my dollar on okay so small beginnings but to be honest I'm incredibly pumped and excited about this purchase so here's what I'm going I'm listing this right away via Amazon the current lowest price is 589 but because I want to unload this quickly I'm gonna undercut them and go 588 now unfortunately if you guys are familiar with Amazon they do take a profit so a 300% gain not that bad okay so just about two hours later guys have zero sales zero units sold zero and no money in my pocket and to be honest this is a little bit rough this is kind of a bad feeling not knowing what to do with zero dollars in my pocket well what I've been doing for the last two hours while waiting is just like being outside in New York City just kind of like absorbing the energy here to be honest I think it actually worked like I was searching the internet like relentlessly like super aggressive trying to find some way to find something that's 100% free and I think I fill in an absolute goldmine here you see on Craigslist under the for sale by owner there's this one section called the free section and people list anything on this section from absolute junk that they want to get rid of right away it's a things that either they're moving out of their apartment and they want to get rid of or they just don't have space for so for the last 30 minutes or so I've just been going through these ads trying to find one something that's pretty light and two something that's quite close to here which is town however unfortunately I haven't gotten a hold of anybody and it seems to be quite hard to get a hold of these people yeah I'm running because supposedly there's something that's free just about three streets away from where I was looking I just found the magazines here all right now bad everybody was just like going through them really fast so I just got like five or six of them here to be honest I'm not sure if any of these come at a good value or if I'm gonna make any money on me but I mean I guess you just need to be a tiny bit faster these things so let's see if any of these come at a value game that is what you don't want to see it's not found this one no values one came up but there's no results on Amazon for so now I'm gonna go to a used bookstore and try to sell these for anything hey how are ya these ready yeah these old magazines yeah I feel like I have to get more aggressive with these I just start trying to sell the individuals just going up to people asking them if they would be interested in a Japanese magazine and I'm just gonna try to unload these quick so I'm just gonna have the price be like a dollar Hey I know this is super super red there's wondering if you guys could assist in buying up a news magazine yeah dollar each yeah there you go they're really cool actually they're like about art and Japanese and everything thank you you're not interested then how about you man thanks guys yeah yeah these are dollar give me one I'm sorry dude I really read magazines but I please to water but thank you man Eirene hinduism buddhism books things like that no oh no this is $5 take dollars $1 2003 man and boy thank you yeah thank you oh my god I'm literally just like I'm shaking right now the dude gave me $5 it was like take the dollar I made my first sale of the day and I'm feeling great let's continue this guy's I know this is gonna sound crazy cool Thank You Man started and drove good man I'm doing this challenge today to be a Japanese magazine salesman thanks Val BBY - risky Bri a awesome convo with you guys to enjoy the magazines all right yeah peace man thanks dude so after selling for just under an hour I sold eight of the nine magazine seven for just a dollar and of course the epic first one for five and I almost feel like revitalized on this challenge so now that I have an increased funding here I'm gonna take a moment to think what I should do with these twelve dollars turn from being a pretty sunny day has now turned into kind of a rainy day and when I was sitting thinking like what should I do with these twelve dollars I was like honestly I'm so tired I've literally been hustling all day and from the rain my mind almost like switched I was like okay what can I do that doesn't really involve a lot of movement or being outside and this is gonna sound crazy but I found this thing online that literally will catapult off you see rarely very very rarely banks offer these cash incentives to open an account now the only problem is that for the incentive you have to deposit something like 5,000 10,000 sometimes $100,000 however one bank that gives you a cash incentive for opening the bank account with zero dollars and I'm so excited that how big the reward is that I'm just gonna try to have the employee tell you guys hi how's it going I was looking online at a different accounts that you guys had and I found one that said like there was a sort of like incentives to open up the account okay wonderful cool cool all open up that one amazing sweet thank you so much okay guys this was the start of a five-day series the release
