Trying Soybeans Again After Wrecking a Machine

hey you didn't tell me you were filming well since you are and it's a rainy day why don't we uh slowly watch me reconcile bank statements and maybe even clean this disgusting desk we haven't touched since harvest started what do you think pete yeah right cue the machines i don't wear glasses either i could not see it all [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so so if there's one thing i've learned in my short life that you should just never give up so here i am a couple days later and it's take two that blessed pipe the wrecker of combines the terrorizer of emotions we made our way back uh i don't even know four or five days later and we're cleaning up this field and i had the new 745 fd head and i decided hey if i you know if i was unable to do it going that way i might as well try to hit it from a different angle so that's what you're seeing i'm going to come up on it from the other side and see what we can do you got to look at things from all angles okay if you can't do it one way maybe there's a way to do it another do you understand the short-term consequences that you've you've created for me never again why mistake you for something you're not cut around at this time i've got an important update for everyone so i if you guys have been following along week to week i am in the same combine that i crashed just a few days ago well we work fast around here because we have to so we scrambled all over calling our salesman and uh tyler orders through the ag pro circuit found us a used head a 745 fd down in wilmington i believe it was close to a three hour drive from where we're at one way so robbie and his brother went down and got that for saturday and here we are monday and we're back in use and we're really grateful we're still talking with insurance and everything but we are pretty well positive the head is total uh it would have just been the cutter bar on the front end that was damaged we probably could have got around it and got it fixed but with the frame being bent on the back end that's that's not very good so i mean i guess technically i got an upgrade about the worst way you could imagine but it is an upgrade it's almost an identical head there's just a few little tweaks and so actually the night of the crash the great crash of 2021 we got six tenths of rain so we took a whole day off and then that sunday we uh shelled some corn and we switched the combines back and now we are back in the means and it is me and uh one of the machines my dad and the other and carl hammering down on the buggy a buggy operator uh carl really esta really has to get to it with two combines and one buggy sammy hurt his back this weekend so he's not around and it it's really making us work that much harder but we're getting done we hope he heals up we are at the home of wolf brothers and we have a couple hundred acres of beans lined up pretty much all on this road so it should be a really good day to run it i'll try to get the drone up i'll show you we have carl put it in a straight truck and then our dump trailer just keeping the grain away from us and we're getting to it there's no big hole you can maybe see the head honcho hammering down over there he's about to dump into carl and then it's a waterway right here so they're very nice big open fields that eventually has to he has to get to the other side of that tree line for i think 10 more acres and i do believe he's going to have to take his head off to get into that piece so i'm going to let him have all that i'm going to try to stay in the seat and keep cutting i don't want to take the head off so we are on machine sync which means our machines are communicating with each other and you look down there the lighter blue is where my dad cut he opened up the field i was grabbing the semi and the darker blue is me and that's super convenient because we're all on section control and you don't mess up yields and everything and you can tell the client right away it's there's no overlap or any any calculations after you made it the gps thinks it's all one machine he's going for it huh so the old man made it through the hole i've uh i've already hold one head this week so i'm not too interested in doing it again so we'll see how he did this it's pretty tight so this is a 45 foot head and this is probably about a 40 foot hole that's how we do this so if i were to choose i would choose brush side so so we have the cameraman getting a big rock off the header and we just got done trying to fly the drone we got combines not being some pretty cool situations we followed teddy the president of wolf brothers up to the bins because he's running the straight trunk and getting all the beans away from us but we lost footage when he's getting dumped so we'll see
