Trini Corn Soup Recipe by Chef Jeremy Lovell | Foodie Nation

hi everyone my name is chef jeremy lavelle and today i'm gonna share a special recipe with you guys hi again today we're gonna prepare our local corn soup so we're gonna start off with some butter [Music] and add onion some garlic [Music] some fermented we're gonna add some carrots with thyme small leaf time some pumpkin and bayley [Music] then we're gonna add all potatoes [Music] so fresh market phone [Music] and then we're gonna add some split peas so whatever we would have pre-cooked these fit peas before blended it so it becomes nice and smooth this this adds body and also flavor to the cold soup you're going to add some water and allow to cook for 30 minutes [Music] right now we're back again as you can see it's all corn soup is bubbling [Music] all right now we want to add some more seasoning some and celery then we're adding now or dumplings they can't have corn soup without dumplings i like my dumplings nice and square and flat some people like it long everybody have their own preference on their dumplings and i like mine like this [Music] so i get them in there stir so that they all don't stick up to one another [Music] we add our coconut milk [Music] some more black pepper [Music] salt and then we cover and allow to cook for another 15 minutes [Music] you
