Tricks To Make Your Beat Tags More Interesting

what's up welcome back to the channel my name is Santa Sabina and today I am teaching you about beat eggs now making a beat tag is actually pretty easy all you have to do is face of birds when the beat drops so here's the beat tag that I just recorded there's nothing on it yet say some words wouldn't the beat drops now everything I'm going to show you is just a suggestion in case you want to spice up your B tag a bit more now the first thing you should do is take off some of the low end because if you don't it just sounds like regular vocals instead of a BTEC say some words with the beat drops and I'm obviously gonna put in some reverb so it fits in the mix better say some words wouldn't the beat drops one thing you can do to make it interesting is play with the pitch you can pitch it up a few semitones so it sounds like a child say some words with the beat flap or you can pitch it lower say some words with the beat drops what I'm going to do is make an automation clip and we're gonna pitch it down right when I say the word drop so right here I'm gonna do is make a little curve and put it like that so what it says dropped the pitch drops say some words wouldn't the beat drops another popular thing people do is reverse reverb so we go to edit samples so we open up Edison and we're gonna cut up everything except the first consonant so I say the word say at the beginning see so I want everything to be cut up except the S so I'm gonna normalize it first so it's louder we're gonna put in some reverb and now we have this tail end here and all I want to do is drag and drop this into the playlist and now all we have to do is put it right in front of where the beat tag starts say some words when the beat drops another cool thing that people do a stutters so I'm gonna do a little stutter at the beginning with the word say so I think the whole duration of the word is around here and then it starts like this once I cut it I want it to repeat twice so it's go say say say we'll do it like that and then we'll just fill it in say say say some words wouldn't the beat drop also starts there that means I have to move the little reverse Weaver earlier say say face up and there's cool things we can do within this if I make them unique I can make the volume go up slightly they say some and let's do some panning as well like that and we'll do one the left they say some words wouldn't the beat drops another thing people like to do is put some delay I have it at every eighth and then I did a little cutoff here say some words ring the beat driver's seat but the problem with this is it sounds a bit muddy because just the words are overlapping each other a quick way to fix this is to make another automation clip all we have to do is automate the wet/dry of the delay and we're gonna turn it on when I save beat drops so let's hear that together some words win the beat drought of seat drops let's move it over some more see what happens some words when the beat drops drops there we go another subtle effect you can put in as a flanger say some words with the beat you might want to mix the dry and wet a bit I'm gonna just do it 50/50 say some words wouldn't the beat draw and the last thing you should keep in mind up is how to export it let's just say we do a quick export if you export it and you just leave the remainder it kind of ends at unnatural bar lines and when you're dragging and dropping this into a new beat it's gonna be really difficult to warp and find your place so what we want to do is export it a really strong grid lines so I'm gonna start here we're gonna go from 2 to 6 that's 4 bars I'm actually not gonna export the delay because when you stretch out a delay there's some weird artifacts so it's better to put that in after and I'm doing it to the 6 so it leaves some room for the reverb instead of leaving remainder we cut remainder so now we have a really easy B tag to drag and drop anywhere so let's say I have a new beat this temple is at 186 so when I get my new beat tag even though it entered a weird grid line here I know that it's 4 bars long so all I have to do is 1 2 3 4 and stretch it accordingly like this and then set it to stretch so that the pitch doesn't change and the beat drops there so it should sound like this [Music] and there you have it thanks so much for watching the video hope you enjoyed it let me know what story else you want to see next and I'll see you guys soon if you have any suggestions leave a comment if you'd like this video leave a like if you really like this video subscribe if you didn't like this video leave just leave
