[Music] hello everyone what is up and welcome back to another video If you read that correctly I will be transitioning to night shift I will be on night shift for the next 4 weeks that is labor and delivery and then we also take any consults that we get from the emergency department the hours are pretty gruesome so we'll work Sunday night to Thursday night there's just two of us on the floor and then the hours are from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 sl7 a.m. the following day so they're pretty long and it's on the most intense floor so it's going to take a lot out of me and I'm not quite sure what to expect Peri I was going to say period because I'm used to dictating and I'm currently dictating to my phone oh my gosh I also just worked my first night shift so I am pretty tired we're off to a great start I obviously am currently doing my laundry and just trying to get some random tasks done before this whole month begins to be honest I am a little bit looking forward to one aspect of the night shift which is having less staff around the social aspects of residency can honestly be pretty draining especially for someone who's introverted like me and we obviously talk to people all day it's pretty social throughout the day which can be very draining and so I'm kind of excited for it to be a little bit more quiet in terms of that social aspect but of course night shift is when a lot of the emergence stuff happens so there's that too hello you guys what is up good morning and welcome back to another Vlog look at this do you see this also you guys have been through it you guys I look wild only because uh I'm really tired I've been on Labor and Delivery for the last month over a month pretty much and it is the most most exhausting floor to be on ever it's insane and I will be on it for the next month but on nights so H all right so we are getting a new fence in the next few days and so I have to take off all my stuff my lights and my camera that's on my fence down so I'm going to do that really quick and then yeah let's do that to my surprise I woke up this morning and my whole fence was gone if you guys have been watching my videos you know that I landscaped my whole backyard by myself and I made it so cute and now it's destroyed so that's a project for another time moving on I'm vacuuming with my favorite gift of all time from my boyfriend it's a beautiful Dyson and it makes the best vacuum lines I live for vacuum lines you guys know vacuuming it's very therapeutic for me and making vacuum lines is just chef's kiss I love the Dyson so much that when I die and I'm cremated I want someone to vacuum up my ashes with a Dyson and then you can plant me in a tree like the soil to grow tree I'll be fine with that I make little to-do list of things that I need to get done I write them down in my notes app and I will delete them as I go on throughout the day just it makes me feel better so I've gotten so many things done I am filming right now so I can delete that just got to do some errands still got to exercise I'm waiting for my neighbor to come back um and then we're going to go on a nice little walk clean sheets I'm a happy gal I think it's so important also to make your bed every single morning I've been doing it since I was younger just do it it's very important um then I went on a walk and I'm having a smoothie outside with my neighbors I have exercised I am showered I'm going to get ready to go to barbecue with my neighbor I realize that I don't often or ever show you the products that I use for bathing or getting ready so I figured I would now for shower ing hair and body I use the way I have the conditioner in here I just didn't bring it out for other body scrub this is the ESOP geranium Leaf body scrub which I like this is a face cleanser I've been using it's by ESOP it's parsley seed I really like it I'm going to tone my face with the ESOP into M's facial toner on a little cotton ball oops and then I'm going to use an oil this is the damascan Rose facial treatment finally I'm using the ESOP chameleon nut facial hydrating cream I freaking love ESOP I know it's expensive it's honestly worth it and I don't spend much money on anything else because all I do is work and that's it so I use the wayy uh hair oil I just do like two pumps and put that in here then I use the hand lotion from whey as my body lotion because the body lotion is in a smaller jar and it's more expensive hand lotion tends to be a little bit thicker so more hydrating and I need that because my Skin's dry I have a YouTube short on how I do my lashes so I'm not going to show you right now CU is go check that out so I finished up getting ready and then my neighbor and I headed over to our friends house to celebrate her birthday and it was actually really nice to just get out of the house and socialize a bit I got home washed my face tried to stay up late and so I was editing but I fell asleep cuz I was so dang tired and I woke up watched some YouTube in bed and then resumed my normal morning because I could not sleep any longer although I did try you also probably notice that I am taking antibiotics and I'm trying to help cure my eye because this is the third year in a row that I've gotten one of these cysts on my eyes and it hurt so dang bad but it's finally getting better went on a walk with my neighbor got home made a smoothie and then I showered and headed off to the grocery store to just grabbed some things that I needed for the week um including some sushi that I had before my shift I'm pretty tired it is it's 1:40 I've done a lot today which I shouldn't but I'm a little worker Busy Bee red ant and I don't know when to chill out but I need to from here on until 4:00 when I leave for work we have creogs this week if you don't know what creogs are I don't know either but it's just more exams that we have to take every single year leading up to our final board exam once we graduate residency it's really annoying I have to take it this week and I've just been doing like true learn questions which have been so helpful because honestly I'm like what am I supposed to study I don't I'm not going to read a bunch of books first off I don't have the time energy or Charisma to to do that like what's the easiest and quickest way to get information in my brain that's helpful I'm using true learn for my um question Bank to study for creogs I freaking love true learn I have used them to study for my board exams and it's just been super helpful because it's just straightforward they give you what you need to know they don't put in a bunch of like random stuff there's such a variety of questions that like you can cover all your bases so I've just been trying to do a lot of questions per day and I haven't done any today and I didn't do any yesterday Yer cuz I'm exhausted but I'm going to go through a few now and then take a nap and then get ready for tonight all right so time to do some questions I'm going to just walk you through one to kind of give you an idea of what it's like um so I've done a custom test where I have tutor mode I just do 20 questions and they can be the easiest questions or the hardest questions that they have in the bank so we'll we go through this one together a 27-year-old patient presents for her initial prenatal care visit at 14 weeks gestational age patient denies any urinary tract symptoms but a urine sample is collected to screen for asymptomatic bacteria which of the following urine culture results should prompt treatment for asymptomatic bacteria boom okay I don't really know how I came to that conclusion but I see it often so I just chose it so let's read about it eoli greater than 100,000 Colony forming units per milliliter should be treated with antibiotics uh diagnostic criteria for treating asymptomatic bacterian pregnancy include identification of a uropathogen to a greater than 10 to the power of five or 100,000 cfus per milliliter why does everyone else not get it because it's basically less than that threshold and so that's why we treat it okay you learn something new The Physician is rounding on a colleague's patient who is now post-operative day four from a total abdominal hysterectomy with a bilateral salpingectomy The Physician was told by the colleague that surgery had gone well with no complications encountered this morning the patient complains of abdominal distension bloating and pain as well as obstipation nausea and intermittent vomiting which of the following is the physician concern that the patient may have ilas also so don't really know how I came to that but I see it commonly so and that's what I'd be concerned for nausea vomiting obstipation abdominal bloting distension as and pain 4 days following abdominal surgery should alert the provider of posttop ilas I like that it just has really quick and easy explanations I'm not having to read a bunch of stuff to be completely honest when I'm studying for exams if I get it wrong I will read more when I get it right I don't hardly read at all just because because I'm trying to power through as many questions as I can to just see things be exposed to things and then move on true learn makes it super simple to just do exactly that like you can get the information that you need you're not bogged down with a bunch of extra stuff and I'm just able to study do as many questions as I want I can make them as difficult as I want or as easy as I want true learn I've used it for so many other exams that it is just reliable and I know I can study from it and do well and pass of course I'm going to keep coming back back to something that I know that produces good results I'll have all the details Down Below in the description box if you are an OBGYN resident and you're studying for creogs this is my platform of choice and they've got like I said over a thousand questions to choose from in their blueprint catalog thing and um it's wonderful so that is it I am going to do a few more questions and I'm just going to take a nap because I'm so tired and I do not want to go into the shift tonight being this exhausted so um I will chat with you guys when I get ready for work all right you guys I'm at work now um I'm going to end this Vlog and start the next one too I love you guys so much thanks for watching this week's Vlog and until next time take care of yourselves be kind yourselves continue to work hard and all the good stuff okay [Music] bye [Music]
