Transfer Files between Android Phone and Windows PC via FTP

this video will show you how to use FTP to transfer files from your Android phone to Windows PC or vice versa FTP is a network protocol for transferring files from one location to another on the internet the two locations in FTP are referred to as client and server here we'll use the Android device as the server and the PC as the client the only requirement for FTP is that your Android device and PC should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and if you don't have Wi-Fi you can create a hotspot on your mobile then connect your PC to the network [Music] first of all we need to install an FTP server application on the Android device we'll go with the Wi-Fi FTP server app after installing open the app it shows the local IP address of the device if you are using a mobile hotspot make sure to turn on the mobile internet as well don't worry it won't use your mobile data this is just to help the app fetch the local IP address of the device next tap the start button once the server has started you should see a server URL here take note of the URL now go to your Windows PC open Windows Explorer [Music] right click on a space select add a network location [Music] enter the FTP server URL make sure to check the logon anonymously option [Music] enter a name you like for the connection it now creates an FTP shortcut to your phone just double click on it all your Android files should now be shown on your PC you should now be able to transfer files between your PC and Android device without any issues foreign
