welcome back I'm Paul and today we're going to continue on with our Bobcat 610. if you remember the last episode we changed that fluids filters did some service to it fixed a few broken things on the machine and today we're going to focus on the Cosmetics we're going to go through and take care of some of those really ugly welds that we found so if you don't remember here's what we found these were some of the welds that were on the back of the machine and on some of the arms you can see the just the high quality welding that was done to this thing in the past there isn't one place on this machine one joint or anywhere on the machine that isn't welded hasn't been welded so we're gonna do our best we're going to clean up some of it we can't get it all we're going to do some and we're going to grind it down we're gonna repaint it I got some fresh Bobcat decals we're going to slap on it and we're gonna make it look a whole lot better by the end of this episode so let's get into it let's stop talking and we're gonna go and wash this thing up and get it ready to go oh so let's clean this up a little bit as well as pretty awful [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] all right I had the grinder in here just taking care of that old weld but as I went down further you can see right here the weld or the crack so that old weld never really penetrated the metal so I'm gonna need to go back in here run a new weld on this side as well and fix that up [Music] thank you [Music] oh looks better to me a little more crack I'm gonna get those wheels off there now so let's lift it up pop those off real quick it's going to clean it up a little acetone let's get that grease and the uh just getting grease or anything off here that might be left behind foreign so I'm going to mask this cardboard and what I'm going to do is I'm going to come back and hit this cage later for now we'll keep all that paint up here as best we can and I'm just going to tape off some of this stuff there's some plugs down here I just don't want to paint over the plugs themselves so I'm just gonna take a few minutes and cover these up with some tape all right so for the tractor itself I'm going with this color here this is Ace brand but it's a caterpillar yellow so we're going to try that out [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] thank you I got these off of uh eBay they're actually pretty cheap I think there was only like 15 bucks for the pair so we'll see how well they work out boom all right oh there let's check the measurements here so we're about five a little over five and a quarter there five and a quarter we look good there so I'm gonna go ahead and call that good stick that on you know I thought that was a part of the decal there that's the hole behind it so squeegee we use the level oh no a little bit right there was pulling off go up that way well still stuck this is probably why a squeegee is important for this job there we go beautiful clean it up let's do the other side so the other one is about four and a quarter so this one's going to go up a little bit we're down at almost five inches on this side here so and this is the nice thing about this wet method is you can correct it if you put it on dry you're stuck that first try to go up a little higher and it doesn't have to be exact to the other side but I'm going to try and get it as close as I can I think it looks better this way on this side actually let's go down a little bit as long as we're even here so we're at five inches and five inches so we're nice and level oops scratch my paint foreign s are usually part of the or the hardest parts because I want to peel off as you pull back and these whiskers are by themselves too so if we happen to pull one off it's going to be hard to get it back oops just the right spot so I'm going to take my time here one two and three there we go same thing down here there's some little details in this graphic we want to make sure they transfer off boom done I picked these up for I think they're like a dollar or two at Harbor Freight a couple years back and I was going to use them on a project then and just didn't use it for some reason so I may as well just use it now right just got to cut it down to size a little bit and see how it looks I think it'll kind of address it up a little bit make it look better it works out good yeah well why not right [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] messing around and not paying attention to what you're doing I was messing with the camera didn't realize I was getting close to this little runoff here and yep sunk it so next chore is to get this thing out I'm gonna get get my truck down here get some tow ropes on it and yank it on out of here but it's one more thing to do I'm gonna wash it again well this is a fun little machine it actually turned out really nice I'm pleased with the way it looks and it actually drives fairly and surprisingly well and I'm I just keep saying I'm shocked actually so unfortunately though I don't think it's the right machine for me it's a little too underpowered it's a little too small and it's got wheels and as you saw that combination equals stuck in this kind of mud that we've got around here so what I'm going to do is I'm going to sell this off to someone that's got some maybe some horse stalls or something like a small ranch and they just need they need to clean out some stalls things like that this is perfect for them but for me I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to sell it buy something with tracks and use that around here so that's gonna be a fun project so stay tuned watch for that one but make sure you hit that like and that subscribe button down below and we'll catch you next time
