hello and welcome back to Colonial Air Stream I'm Patrick pelli and today I'm excited to show you the new 2024 Airstream Atlas 24 Ms the Murphy Suite new for 2024 Airstream has upgraded to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 series chassis with a 12,125 gross vehicle rate rating giving you 19996 lb of payload that's an additional 1,000 lb over to 3500 series chassis also there is starlink connectivity it's already in there in motion you just set up an account on starlink your router is in there and you're ready to go as a backup Airstream also has the Airstream connected antenna just buy the router from our part store and you have a secondary internet on board this is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 series chassis with the 4 cylinder twin turbo high output engine giving you 21 horsepower and 332 ftlb of torque this is a 17in wheelbase 24t 9 in Long 7' 11 wide and only 10' 6 tall and it still has an interior Headroom of 6t 6 in now we're going to do is take you around the outside first and then we'll head on inside to check out this floor plan the floor plan features a front sofa that folds down flat little tables in front also has a bed a Murphy bed that flips down out of the wall which is 72 in x 72 in there's a TV and entertainment center across you have a center kitchen with a 9 cubic foot refrigerator this also has the E1 packet so it's equipped with 1100 W induction cook top in the back is a huge bathroom with a large shower and lots of storage the exterior comes in one color it's silver this is 15 coats of paint cut and buff you don't feel paint line here the exterior makes it look like a sprinter van they simulate Windows all the way around but it does have these frameless windows on the outside interior is available and four different Decor the one we're showcasing today is the classic Canyon it's a light tan interior but they also have the Tommy Bahama upgrade package which is also a light tan interior they have modern gree with a gray beige seating and a dark charcoal Cabinetry and they have formal black with a charcoal Cabinetry but black seats just look at this coach look how beautiful it is on the outside one of the things that really stands out is the Bodywork look at this there is not a separate back and cab with a gasket and a rubber seam here and a rubber seam here you know they get moldy and mildewy and you got to ca them all the time a stream spends a lot of time on body work to to make all this transition into one coach all solid here this is fiberglass this is steel it's all done to be easy to clean and maintain and give you a beautiful appearance the entry door is made out of aluminum it's a double lock system when you open it up you have double steps that fold down and tuck and roll right in place there and they have grip on the Treads there's grip tape here on the threshold and it has a rollway insect screen here also in the back of the door you have a privacy shade and this is all fully insulated throughout it's got fiberglass on the outside insulation in between aluminum ribs for of the structure and then you could pause this step when you open the door you can shut the step off so it stays out if you wanted to go in and out consistently and not wait for that step you have a lit grab handle here at the door and then it also has lights accent lights you could turn on underneath the coach gives you a really cool look when you're at the campsite the awning you can control from the inside but you could also control it right here underneath the passenger seat press a little button you could stop it wherever you would like to stop it you could have it come out just a foot or you can come in out the full approximately 7 ft it's got a vinyl material on it and it also has a size mic sensor built into it that will allow it to roll back in if it moves consistently to a point where it could damage itself also there is LED light strip underneath the awning here and then you have your patio light over there over here is an outside compartment notice how there's no handles or locks in them they lock right off the key fob so when you unlock the coach your compartments are unlocked too in this compartment it's all lined here so your stuff's not sliding around you have a light which is motion you also have an electrical outlet here you have cable HDMI USB and you can run things through this port here if you wish to so you can put a TV outside if you wanted to have it on the ground or table and another apartment over here that is the exhaust pipe for that 211 horsepower 4cylinder Mercedes-Benz high high output turbo diesel engine dual rear wheels in the back look at these beautiful rims Airstream Source they have the Mercedes logo in them too there's rear VB air ride suspension that enhances the ride it gets that pop out of the back when you hit bumps also when you're going around turns it will have less dip and roll on Windy days it drives much better and at low speeds you're driving around a parking lot you want to back up over a curb you can manually pump it up or down and then we'll level itself back out once you get up to speed on the highway over here if this was the standard model without the E1 package this would have a propane generator propane heat propane Hot Water Propane cooktop the E1 package is a $4,700 upgrade and that gives you 12,000 wats of lithionics 48 volt batteries at 3200 W inverter 1100 WT induction cooktop two DC todc 30 amp Chargers and a second alternator which is 51 Watts massive power bank but this is where the gener the propane generator would be if it didn't have the E1 package since this has the E1 package that 48 volt volt system is stored outside in a box underneath the coach this is a lockable with key compartment here all made out of aluminum see this little QR code here you scan that with your phone it will give you some support related to this particular area you're going to see them throughout the coach on the inside the vinyl flooring ven vinyl flooring throughout runs right into this compartment you have a power cord adapter the awning is power we saw that go in and out but you can manually run it in and out just in case you had a challenge and then colon gives you an RV starter kit with a lot of the stuff you're going to need to get out and go camping a couple items here some gloves and a freshwater hose this compartment also has a motion sensor light built into it and what's really cool it's tall and the floor lifts up so if you wanted to load your golf clubs in you just remove the floor out of your wardrobe in the back and you can load it right up these tail lights swing out for maintenance if you ever needed to replace bulbs or filament you can see the aluminum structure here you can see the insulated back wall and then you have your back cap which is all made out of fiberglass over here is a compartment can store some more things of course a motion light in here as well and whenever stream buys this it's a Mercedes-Benz cab and Chassis rail so it's not like the unibody Sprinter van it's a cabin chassis on the 4500 series chassis they offer just in two wheel drive which is what we have here there's power King sensors here in the back there's a cover here that comes off and you have a class three hitch receiver you could tell up to 4,000 lb also has a sway wiring harness there too the Lys some plate is integrated right here into the back with a light above you got the Mercedes mercedesbenz logo here this is licensed with Airstream and Mercedes of course the Airstream logo there there is a backup camera there in the third brake light nice and high so people could see you down this side you can see there is a slide out wait till you see this you could do you could have the bed down and still have the slide in which is really cool if you want to do an overnight somewhere and you don't want to set the whole thing up open this compartment here what I like about these compartments is you're not digging your hand into a handle which will be filled with dirt and grime and you know you're just lifting the door up this is the exhaust so when you get the E1 package they eliminate the propane furnace and the propane water heater and upgrade to the Timberline 2.0 which has a diesel water heater and a diesel heating system it has registers throughout and it blows nice and hot air inside very efficient under this compart there's an external solar Port there's 400 WS of solar on the roof already but you could plug in additional panels if you needed some more solar gain you have a motion light here City Water connection with water pressure regulator built into it so you hook up here it supplies water to all your Plumbing on board does not fill your freshwater tank if you want to fill the freshwater tank you just open up this little valve here as you're hooked up to city water and that will allow the water to fill up your 20 gallon freshwat tank there's a 31g gray waist tank and a 27g black waist tank black is your toilet waist gray is your sinking shower and freshwater is obviously fresh water over here there's an outside utility shower with hot and cold water and you could run any of these things through these little ports here in the bottom and leave them out when you're set up a campground but they close and seal so rodents don't get in here and insects and bees over here this has a Mercator pump so normally you have just a big waist toes like one of these these big waist hoses and then you snap it on and drain it but Airstream in the atlas and the interstate they use a murator pump and the advantage to that is you don't have to crawl underneath the coach to snap on the waist hose and then rely on gravity to empty it this will take whatever waist is in that tank gray or black and pump it through this little tiny hose you can even go uphill if you need and the way it works is you take this off you screw on your fitting you got a couple different ones here screw it on to the end put the little cap on and then you could screw this into the campground's connection or your home septic or your home City sore and then there's even a rubber doughnut to make it more solid if you need to but uh then you open up this valve here and that will allow whatever re wastes drip out and then you open up these valves right here so you got black valve and gray valve gray valve you always open that last so black tank first open that up the waist gate will open allow the waist to go up against the pump then you turn on your waist pump that will then pump the waist through and out your coach close the black tank then open up your gray tank that's your sink and shower water turn on the pump and that will clean out your hose with that soapy shower water and your sink water and then when you're all done you just close this undo everything and then there's a re retract that will bring this back in for you nice and neat also in here is a black tank flush so periodically after you empty the black tank it's just relying on gravity to get the waist out of the tank up to the pump and the pump pumps set the rest of the way you could high pressure flush out that black tank using a regular garden hose and of course you could run it through one of these bottom uh port all right over here we have the 30 amp sh power connection this is the Smart plug so it easily unplugs gives you full contact it's really better for your appliances than those old twist lock ones that no one ever twists no one ever locks say have poor contact which causes appliances to fail plug this in you got solid contact there's also cable connection over here you can run through if you want to go to Campground use their cable service and there's about 25 ft Airstream gives you the power cord Colonial Airstream gives you the adapter so you can plug this in and charge it at home periodically for a few hours and unplug it what's nice about the E1 package is you could run that rooftop air conditioning your microwave your electrical outlets without having to be plugged into Shore power or without having to start and run a generator see a lot of campgrounds have rules or State national parks or any places in parking lots not to run your generator at all or either at certain portions of the day with a full lithium package it's silent you could run your air conditioning without having to start a secondary source and the way it's designed is you could run eight plus hours air conditioning and if you drive the next day a couple hours that dual alternator system will charge and supercharge your battery up so you have full capacity you also have the solar panels on the roof which give you some solar gain to charge those batteries you can also plug in it to shore power if you need to charge it somewhere it's the most popular option that people get on the Airstream Atlas and that's the only way we stock them here at Colonial Airstream over here in this slide there's two more storage compartments one here you got one here they left the middle open so you can load long things through and you got your motion lights in there as well can't see the roof from ground level but there's a lot going on on up there you got your starlink you got Airstream connected antenna you got two fantastic fans a skylight your air conditioning and your 400 WTS of solar above the slide out when the slide is out there's a Carefree awning it's a little topper that way if any leaves fall out of the trees they'll land on that instead of landing on top of your slide box without that when you bring your slide in guess what happens whatever is sitting on top of the slide comes in your coach drive around with your windows open you'll have all that dust and dirt and leaves blowing around inside your coach that is a must have over here 242 Gall diesel fuel tank fill right here got some fuses and Breakers right here airam does a great job they take the seats they take take the standard Mercedes-Benz pleather off and they add the ultra leather extra padding in the seat they're very comfortable noticeable difference when you go in brand a and go in brand B when you sit in these seats they also check off all the boxes they possibly can get on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter there's a lot available not everybody gets all these options but Airstream does this has power seats heated seats leather wrapped steering wheel adaptive cruise control 10 and a/4 display and on and on and on lots of safety features hood releas is right here there's some Pockets here here in the door they add this extra pad there makes it a lot more comfortable to drive around you have a grab handle to get in so it's easy to get in and out of the coach and then you have some courtesy light over the door that lights up to illuminate that area and when the door is shut your D will feel no one can get to it no one can mess with it you have side cameras so when you turn on your turn signal it'll light up this camera so you can see what's going on when you're making a turn turn signal in here and they're also Breakaway mirrors they fold in nice and tight around the front we have the LED high performance headlights fog lamps there's a step here to get up to clean that windshield very important to clean this middle section it's where your cameras and sensors are it's important keep that clean windshield wipers you can change under the hood little Hood prop there you got your radiator overlow de fluid fill air filter master cylinder washer fluid the air suspension the back is automatic it has its own pump just in case something went haywire I've never had it happen yet never heard any complaints you can manually pump up up your airbags in the back using a regular bicycle pump if you had to and then there's a port here if you needed to jump start the engine and uh you have your oil fill Lots going on under the hood here at Colonial Airstream we give you a very comp comprehensive walkth through see after you buy it you schedule a date and time to pick it up we have a dedicated crew here that's all they do is train customers on how their airstreams work after you done spend the night here we have a facility in the back with a dog Park camping hookups you can spend the night before you hit the road and head back home around here you can see Airstream put their name here in the front they added this extra lip here beautiful looking coach now new for 2024 with the E1 package we also have power leveling jacks hydraulic leveling jacks the control is right here under underneath the seat you turn on the ignition you put the vehicle in neutral and you can press the button and the Jacks Are fourpoint they come down and we'll level you out previously they just had stabilizer Jacks a big upgrade for 2024 definitely recommend getting that E1 package there's also a cubby here in the passenger seat of course the passenger still also has heated seats power seats they're memory and what's nice about the memory is you could have driver one and two husband wife Partners three you could have it memorized to have the seat in the position it needs to be in order to swivel around so it doesn't hit everything inside also for the cab area Airstream has these cabir insulated blinds look how nice this is comes with the case insulated blocks out the sunlight gives you some privacy keeps the heat inside there's magnetic for the side and then the front goes right across and you flip down your sun visor right here which have mirrors in them which is cool and that holds it up very easy to use very effective comes with it I like airtram because they don't have a whole long list of options and packages you have a couple of choices and that's it it's simple they're all built the same very consistent production there's no experimenting throughout the production year they do it this way and they do it that way for the rest of the year come on let's head inside I have the bed down a lot of times you don't see the bed down when you walk into the coach so I wanted to show you this [Applause] first welcome to the space pretty open floor plan the bed is down this is 72 in x 72 in and it has the frolly Sleep System underneath look at this allows the air to get underneath the mattress gives you some spring and then you have your mattress here with a pillow top on it one cool thing about this when Airstream engineered this it was very important that the bed be able to be down with the slide in so I'm going to show you how that operates you have two different controls here to operate the slide you have one here and one in the cabinet and we're going to hit retract it's important too to have a window open or door open when you're operating the slot the seals are so thick there it creates like a vacuum so it's going to run a lot easier well there you go bed is in now you can't walk around it when it's in but you can imagine you're driving all day you just want to stop somewhere in a parking lot this is fine flip it right down I'm 5'9 just for reference and uh have plenty of room here I mean you can sleep this way if you want back behind here you have uh some windows they're awning style windows so you can leave them open when it rains you have some reading lights with USBS in them some Cubbies here and then on the wall next to the bed it's easier to get to when the slides out you have controls to operate Shades in here which is pretty cool so you bring your shade down for some privacy you also have all your lighting controls everything that is in the main touch panel you have here one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom they give you four four places you can control everything so now you seen the bed down and the slide in I'm going to bring the slide back out and now you can see it away and it comes with the sheets and the pillowcases a little comforter and then the straps just hold everything in that way uh when the bed goes up it doesn't All Fall Down but you don't have to sleep with the straps on now when you want to put the bed away there's a release here on the side just lift up it's like counterweighted so it's pretty easy you can do it with one finger got a mirror on the back side and then you have your sofa now someone could sleep here real quick if they wanted to just take a nap you don't have to set the whole bed up but it's pretty easy to do and then it's power so you could use this to recline back and sit back and recline or you can put it in the upright position got the armrest here for this side velcro's in place got another armrest right here and you got some pillows this thing flips down you can chill out and then this has power foot pedestals another switch here on the side look at that got one here you got one there and then this middle section this thing pops up and there's some storage underneath it so that's where the tables can store and the legs can store and the table up front is removable you could put it here or there's a second table let me go get that in the back comes with a carrying case to make it nice and quiet when you're driving around screws right into the floor and look at this just got foam and everything in here keep it nice and quiet and they're lightweight there you go you got one two and to put it all away nice and easy tuck it in the pouch the little leg here it's got a little button on the floor you press in unscrews put this away stores right underneath nice and easy let's now focus on the front area we saw a little bit of the mercedesbenz Sprinter cab area from the outside but you can again see the swivel chairs the classic Canyon Decor the 10 and 1/4 display your rear backup and driving camera there's a rear stereo system so you got your driving stereo right now when you're parked this is the stereo used for the speakers that are in the back got some JBL speakers up here got a cubby for storage got this nice overhead cabinet with a little light inside you have some HDMI so you can hook in a blu-ray plier to the TV you got another cable Inlet here for satellite receiver antenna booster a subwoofer base you have an electrical outlet every Outlet's inverted off that 3200 W inverter you have your touch controls here you got a home screen you could turn all your lights on and off at once you could low dim them you can medium dim or just hit them all on you can control the awning the TV lift check out behind me look at this TV I can control here or there but just press the little button gets a little sound bar on the top this thing lowers down into the cabinet and there's a lid that flips down automatically on top of the TV you have another power shade here you have two more awning style windows and then you have two roof lockers here with additional storage all the Cabinetry is ply with laminate there's no particle board there's no vinyl stickers do a comparison of other types of RVs you'll see that Airstream is far superior in the cabinets here's your starlink in motion stationary hookups you got your remote control for your sound system and your television you got a little drawer over here this flips down for your fuses and Breakers you have USB and electrical outlets in there there's four outlets and you have these motion sensor ey lights and one of the Furnace duck for that Timberline diesel heating system back to the panel you could also see your freshwater gray waste and black waist from here you could do the auto fill from here you can turn on your tank heaters has 12volt tank heaters for those unexpected drops in temperatures you get below freezing at night you can turn your tank heater on give you a little boost 7 to 10° in the tank you can turn on your water pump from here to give you water pressure when you're not hooked up to city water and you can monitor your chassis voltage you could also in here change your temperature for your HVAC next mode here is just lights so if you just wanted to single out certain items and turn the awning light and outside handle light underc Carriage light patio light you can do that all from here you can turn everything off from here you can turn everything on you manually turn things on very very easy you also have here your Electrical uh tells you if anything is Shed off if you're running too many amps uh it will shed certain items like your cooktop and microwave off if you have too many amps running at the same time you could change from Air Conditioning to heat to Auto and you can set on auto and it change from heat to air conditioning you could change your fan speed from low to high your temperature all right here and again you don't have to be plugged into short power to run the air conditioning you could also control your Shades from here for the entertainment for the bed area TV lift slide out Awning in and out and the Skylight let's open this up check this out opens all the way up look at [Music] that what do you do if it's Buggy Out put your insect screen across and with it closed it's too bright in here you can put your shave that's integrated into this aluminum ceiling notice how there's no headliner you know what happens with Headliners they sag after 15 years they sag to hang down aluminum interior this is the same aluminum Airstream uses on their travel trailers another thing to compare ducted air conditioning system so it's not that central air that sticks down makes all that noise very quiet this is quiet stream air conditioning you got your filters and intake over here and you got your registers that you can spin and shut off individually all right here in the ceiling you got your lights obviously and then uh right here is a smoke carbon monoxide detector there's no propane on board so there's no propane leak detector big grab handle to get in you also have your battery turn on and off here for that voltage system your fire extinguisher another furnace duct and then you have some sensors here one for air conditioning one for heat that will register the temperature it is inside this coach and then there's your step switch to turn on and off that step another view of the screen door we saw from outside but nice to see it from the inside you have a cabinet here that allows you to override and and go into the heating system that will allow you to change settings on the Timberline diesel heating system or the hot water system system you also have another panel here for the Volta you could turn on and off your inverter from here that 3200 W inverter right there you can tell it what Shore power you're plugged into if you are and we go over this in great detail when you come to pick it up cabinet below has some shelves when you get the E1 package they clean everything up and they eliminate the inverter and everything from here it goes into that metal container underneath and and picks you up some additional storage uh this table easily comes out just like the side table step on the little pin there that unscrews it and now we can swivel back this passenger seat and we could show you the parking brake so this is a folding parking brake so right now the parking brake is on but if I wanted to swivel this chair it would hit so with it on I could just push it down and get it out of the way and still now swivel the chair just have to remember that it's on because your brake light will be on in your dash so to get it off you pull it up and then pull and LIF push the handle at the same time now it's released on folded off pretty simple lots of cup holders in the front there's a travel warning if you have your jacks down or your awning out your slide out that will eliminate underneath the dash and then USBC and regular USB and a charge pad for your cell phone up here in the dashboard all right moving along we made it to the kitchen check this out fantastic fan motorized lid rain sensor variable speed control all right here you want to turn the fan on you're cooking goes right out have a window open so you get that flow through air there's another one of these fans in the bathroom solid surface countertop induction cooktop another pad here to control things two different pages this window here awning style window insect screen and shade got some lights under the cabinet aluminum backsplash residential style faucet just pulls Right Out roll right back in you got a little storage cubby here with a trash P now you don't have to put trash in there you could put fruits and vegetables dog food cups whatever you want to put in there another storage compartment over here this flips down for a little sponge drawer this flips open for additional storage here for additional counter space you have this and then you have three drawers one for silverware another one and another one here and another aisle light illuminates woven vume floors very adorable it's hard to gouge this floor right if you drop something that those sheet vinyl floors they could Poke real easy this is very adorable stuff very easy to clean and sweep out don't let the little grooves deceive you 9 cubic foot compressor style refrigerator this is the Nova cool look how deep this thing is you go out and get a pizza that box might fit right in there those older propane fridges which barely anybody uses anymore they were so shallow this is nice and deep you got your controls here to turn it on and off uses about 8 Amp per hour and you got some locks here one here in the bottom again 12,000 W hour battery system you can run this fridge for a really long time convection microwave on board Here regular microwave but in convection mode it has this little electric element that glows fan in the back just like having a an oven in a house just runs on electric storage compartment over here and you have a slide out Pantry look at this adjustable shelves you can move them up and down and flush mounted handles now for the bathroom pocket door locks across you got that nice window in the back on the back of the door there's a toilet paper holder they integrate it right in look at this just slip the toilet paper run with this new 4500 chassis with the extra payload they have a porcelain toilet look at that really easy to clean just like using the toilet at home in case you guys are wondering what the pink stuff is that's RV anti FR freeze it's not Kool-Aid it's not punch it's RV antifreeze comes with towels just like the sheets in the comfort area you got towels they have Airstream embroidered in them you got a compartment over here over the toilet your other fantastic fan now back here we got your sink we have another control here another temperature sensor A GFCI protected electrical out a little shelf you got your medicine cabinet you got some additional storage here access panel to make it really easy to winterize they got the siphon tube built in right here stick that in a jug of antifreeze open the valve and you can sipher that RV antifreeze right through another aisle light on the bottom and then you got a wardrobe here this has adjustable shelves m ocean light that removable floor we talked about outside all the owner's manuals right here and now the mega closet check this thing out adjustable shelves you can take this shelf out or leave it down and just hang your suits and your dresses in here it's Cedar alined underneath you put all your socks and underwear in here you got another one over here and then below that it's an access panel to work on some of the systems my favorite here is the shower check this out just out of courtesy I'll take my shoes off you got a travel latch right here open it up again 59 plenty of room plenty of head room here to the ceiling probably room to move my arms I could close the door got room there and then the back walls a little cubby you can put your soap and shampoo in here and you got regular Co Coler residential that one of those RV faucets here but it comes off the wall and your diverter and this beautiful inlay here in the back and then it has lights down both sides so really illuminate
