hey everyone how's it going welcome back to the channel today we're doing another top five but this isn't going to be any normal top five this is going to be five motorcycles but they will not be ranked instead of placing these five motorcycles in order we are going to split them into categories we're doing the top five beginner bikes so we will split them into the categories of sport Cruiser Adventure Street sport touring and Adventure touring sport touring and Adventure touring being one category before we get in any further make sure sure you like comment and subscribe one thing to note about the bikes on today's list is the fact that we will only be considering new motorcycles one of the worst things to encounter as a new Rider would be technical or mechanical issues so in order to minimize these problems I am only considering new bikes so you won't have to worry about any previous problems that old owners of the motorcycle might have given you other things I took into consideration for these motorcycles were things like dealer support since not only do you need to actually be able to buy these motorcycles and find find them at a dealer near you you also need to be able to service them but I also wanted to choose motorcycles that were easy to work on since while you might need to take a motorcycle to a dealer to do the bigger tasks hopefully these will enable you to build your skills and do the simpler jobs like oil changes or maybe valve adjustments or change your tires which will then lead to your growth in skills once you grow to a more older and developed motorcycle the other thing I wanted to consider with these motorcycles is hopefully that you can grow into them so that they won't become boring rather quickly or that once you actually do develop your skills maybe you could even keep these bikes and go back on them and refine your beginner skills as you advance in your motorcycle skills journey and with that let's get into our first category Street motorcycles probably one of the most popular series of motorcycles in the street division is yamaha's previous FZ series which is now renamed to the Mt series which has been accompanied by a redesign and it's seemingly cultish following so for our pick for the street beginner motorcycle we are giving it to the Yamaha mto3 this bike comes in at 41 horsepower at 10,600 RPM so it's a little bit of a screamer but it is also light and reliable this bike weighs in at 373 lb and has a a seat height of 31 in not to mention the reasonable $5,000 MSRP making this an affordable and practical motorcycle not to mention the redesign for this motorcycle which makes it look sleeker than ever and the series that follows this bike such as the mto7 mto9 and mt10 which allow you to upgrade the bike as you grow with your motorcycle this is a great motorcycle because it is one of those motorcycles that just works everything is reliable and it's easy to drive so that's why it wins our street position up next we will be doing the cruiser division this Cruiser motorcycle has seen 39 years of production which means it has seen beginner motorcyclists turn into old men one of the most famous beginner bikes and cruiser motorcycles known to man is the Honda Rebel series and since we are only considering new motorcycles today we will be considering the Honda Rebel 300 and the Honda Rebel 500 so some of you might be questioning whether you should get the 300 or the 500 and personally I think you should get the 500 but if you're really inexperienced with motorcycles or scared of the whole experience or maybe you just want to get better gas mileage or have a cheaper experience the 300 is also an acceptable option but the 500 will allow you to have this motorcycle more longterm and be able to grow into it more and want to keep it for longer as it will be a little bit more exciting as time goes on that being said the rebel 300 has an MSRP of 4,800 without ABS or 5100 with abs making that $300 for abs and especially since we're talking about beginner motorcycles today I would definitely consider that ABS as a worthwhile option this bike makes 25 horsepower at 7,600 RPM and has a seat height of 27 in the rebel 500 on the other hand is 6,500 for the non-abs model and 6,800 for the ABS model again a $300 difference for $1,800 more you're getting almost twice the horsepower at 46 horsepower at 8,500 RPM compared to the 25 horsepower the 300 made also with a seat height of 27 in that making the rebel 500 look like a much better option considering you're getting almost twice the horsepower for only roughly a 20% increase in the MSRP overall again this is another famous and reliable motorcycle that has been on the market forever and it has been tried in tested by many and proven to be extremely reliable these bikes also weigh in at 364 lb and 414 lbs respectively thus making both of these bikes relatively similar in weight while the rebel 500 might be roughly 55 lbs heavier that will help the bike feel more planted and solid on the road and with that let's get into our sport SL Adventure touring section the rather surprising option on this list is the BMW g310 GS this bike is the adventure touring side of things since sport touring requires a little bit of a faster motorcycle and in my opinion would need a little bit more of an intermediate skill level to actually be able to drive anything considered sport touring so we're going on the baby brother of the adventure touring King itself the 310 GS this bike makes 31 horsepower at 9,400 RPM and has an MSRP of 6,500 so while that might be more than the other Japanese options on this list you are getting that build quality and brand recognition that BMW gives you the seat height for this motorcycle comes in at 33 in and it weighs in at 374 lb wet this is an awesome option for anybody looking to do a little bit B further distance or a little bit of mix of onroad and off-road touring since this motorcycle is so capable of so many things and also creates a great lineage of motorcycles for you to be able to upgrade to such as the F800 GS and eventually the r1300 R1200 1250 GS any of the older GS siblings overall making this a great option for just about anything or any budget and with that let's get on to the sport division one of the most famous sport bike insignias of all time the ninja so in this division we are giving the Ninja 500 the podium this bike comes in at 44 horsepower at 9,000 RPM and has an MSRP of $5,300 this bike weighs 377 lb wet has a seat height of 31 in this bike is famous for being one of those motorcycles that you can buy and learn on but also grow into with many people even tracking these motorcycles and using them as a little bit of a track toy this motorcycle has been around for 40 years so it is another one of those tried and tested motorcycles that you know is reliable many people say that these are one of the best motorcycles to learn on and also be able to grow into as your skills develop and is one of those things that you can keep around which allow you to refine those beginner skills even as your skills reach the intermediate and and expert levels of motorcycling making this one of the best sport bike options for beginners and with that let's get into our final category of Dual Sport Motorcycles we kind of saved the best for last in this case since while I technically didn't rank any of these bikes I would probably buy this motorcycle personally if I was to buy one beginner motorcycle and that motorcycle is the CRF 300 owl rally this motorcycle comes in at $6,200 for the non ABS model and 6,500 for the ABS model while many people might not want abs on an adventure or off-road motorcycle this motorcycle allows you to easily switch off the ABS for when you're going from the on-road to the off-road this bike also makes 27 horsepower at 8500 RPM and has a seat height of 35 in and while that might seem rather tall the suspension on this motorcycle is extremely plush and as soon as you put any weight on it it squishes down to be much more accessible to beginners besides that this bike comes in at 335 lb so it makes it rather light another great thing about this motorcycle is the reliability and touring capabilities there have been people that have taken this motorcycle from the southern tip of South America all the way to pruto Bay Alaska Crossing entire continents without problems this not only makes this a reliable motorcycle but a very comfortable touring motorcycle not to mention that this bike has a 3.4 gallon gas tank and gets around 72 m a gallon giving it around a 250 M range making this not only a comfortable reliable and practical motorcycle but also a motorcycle that is rather capable of touring considering Honda's reputation for making great reliable motorcycles and how proven this bike is and considering all the wonderful things it can do it can do onroad off-road it can tour it can do everything a beginner could want and it is fond as you grow older and Advance your motorcycle skills making this I think probably one of the best beginner motorcycles that you can buy and with that thank you for watching please like comment and subscribe and I'll see you on the next one
